Quite the opposite. Review: I find the trope that smaller men are always submissive annoying and that's why I so enjoyed this story. He's a big tough sergeant, but he also wants to be submissive. Often he's not allowed the privilege, as everyone assumes due to his stature that he is dominant. I like it when stories admit that society often influences how we perceive ourselves and our desires. The power play also isn't abusive and "LOL SURPRISE!". It's 100% consensual (very important to me) and their interaction is kind of adorable in its awkwardness. It's a short story (and the courtroom puns often made me groan), but well worth the read. (Original Post)

Nygell wants no such responsibility. Review: FABULOUS story! Usually you find a story that claims to be a more BDSM-ish slavery story, but you end up with a typical forced slavery style story. Well, this is the ONLY one I've found to do BOTH. Ocotillo has amazingly combined the Grecian-style slavery and a BDSM slavery relationship together in a perfect blend of both. I consider myself to be adept at BDSM and the knowledge of the lifestyle. I look like a three-year old compared to her. The characters are fleshed out beautifully, as well as the plot. Very few, if no, grammar mistakes. The only thing is that her wording can get a bit flowy, especially since it's 1st person POV from the slave, but it's still lovely over-all.
