some notes about this blog! tl;dr: i won’t likely remake coco unless it’s as an oc, and none of my headcanons are for fair use, so like ... don’t be a thieving dick :eyes:
a) i’m on indefinite hiatus and likely won’t return to this blog. at first i left because i was angry, because a headcanon i’d railed against for years was confirmed as canon and now i was being bullied for it by anons (though i regret my angry post about biphobia—i still think it’s largely true about how fandoms treat sapphic women who are nonspecific about their identities, but this wasn’t true with coco, though that confirmation did bring out biphobes and terfs everywhere). i also left because i refuse to erase a canon lesbian character no matter how much i love her, and i won’t write my version of coco as anything but pansexual. even if there was a way for me to coexist, the overwhelming bi/panphobia i’ve experienced on this blog ever since i created it is too much of a bummer. so coming back is just not an option, though i’ve considered maybe making an original character on a new url, since my coco is largely 99.99% headcanon anyway and has always been.
but then when i left, something happened—i realized just how many people were only interested in me for my ability to write a character they liked, even close friends. people who’d once supported me dropped away once they realized i was done with coco and moving on to other blogs. i don’t want to come back and have to deal with the stress of wondering who likes me for me and who just likes my content. i also don’t like the amount of gossiping that goes on in the rwby rpc—i once took part, and i’m ashamed that it took it happening to me to realize how hurtful it is. who wants to be in a place where people are talking about you behind your back and planning on how they can best vague post you for the “Tea”? yuck. it’s a sad way to live and i refuse to slip back into it.
basically, i realized how much stress being in the rwby rpc was bringing me and how much negativity i was spewing just by interacting with it. i mean, i was slipping more and more into drama posts the more i spent time in the community. not to say everyone in it is bad, there are TONS of cool and nice people in the rwby rpc who deserve actual awards for being so amazing.
that said, i’m much happier and healthier now that i’ve left it and rwby as a whole behind, and i don’t really need coco as a trauma crutch anymore. i probably won’t write canon characters for a looooong ass time just to prevent this situation from happening again, though, because people are assholes. getting those anons about how disgusting i was for writing coco as pan BEFORE the announcement...wrecked me for a good few months honestly. this post will probably make more come in lol. i’m also still coping with the fact that my work here has been either swept away or stolen by unoriginal jerks, so this blog has pretty much ran its course. i’ll keep it up for the memories and also maybe to update if i ever make an oc based on my headcanons (unlikely but possible).
b) that said, none of my things are for fair use. my interpretation of coco will always be mine, period. i put hard work into this blog and the headcanons. they’re mine even if i’m not using them, they’re mine even if you like them, they’re mine even if you want them, they’re mine, period. no one has permission to use any of my things, and they never will. ever. just because i’m not active on this blog, doesn’t mean you can use my stuff! i really can’t believe i have to say this lol but some people just don’t know how to behave. you leave for a few months and the vultures come flocking in i stg. so if you’re a thief who’s thinking of stealing headcanons instead of making your own stuff...maybe like, rethink your life choices? idk, that’s just me tho.
anyway, that’s pretty much it. have fun everybody, it’s been lit and i’ve appreciated the years with coco / tadmean. you’re welcome to message me for my urls to my other happier, drama free blogs, but until then, this is hali / randi, signing off ✌️
