Heeey, I'm still alive :D
I really want to come back here because I adore Tumblr, and it's probably the most comfortable platform for me to post on (I think I've said this before, but my memory is pretty lousy). Unfortunately, lately, I haven't had much time to draw for myself (I really miss Adam and Fassbender, lol)
But... I have some not-so-recent quick references for an office AU featuring my new character—Charlie Lennox (the tall one in a white shirt)
"Around 31 years old
Unbearable personality. He terrorizes everyone at the office company where he works. He's a first‑class specialist, and that's the only reason management puts up with him. Charlie communicates in a passive‑aggressive manner, considers everyone around him idiots, and never asks for help. He's a workaholic, constantly overworks, and has absolutely no idea how to relax. Partly due to chronic fatigue and insomnia, Charlie is always irritable and reacts sharply to his colleagues’ minor mistakes. He often works late into the night, long after everyone else has gone home, pushing himself to exhaustion. Sometimes he even takes over others’ work and re‑does their projects when he believes they're a disgrace to the company (even though he can't stand corporate culture and the charade of being one big, happy team). There have been instances where Charlie has fainted during work hours and been taken away by an ambulance.
Charlie is deeply lonely and keeps everyone at arm’s length to avoid getting burned. For him, the best defense is a good offense. He rarely yells at colleagues when displeased—that’s not his style. His tactic, perfected to an art, involves subtle jabs, biting irony, tons of sarcasm, and a condescending tone that stops just short of outright aggression. Charlie is a pro at humiliation and bullying, and on more than one occasion, he has reduced secretaries to tears with nothing but sharp remarks about their personal lives.
At his core, Charlie is profoundly unhappy and alone. He's not capable of true evil — just a weary office clerk who takes out his own dissatisfaction on others to lighten his own load.
He spent his entire childhood and teenage years in an orphanage. His parents discarded him like unwanted baggage, and peers bullied him — for his reclusiveness, for being tall and lanky, as kids tend to do. He was a target for mockery and couldn't really stand up for himself. In the end, what could one awkward boy do against a crowd?
In school and university, he studied diligently to climb out of the hole he grew up in and break into the world of success and big money. Even though he now earns a lot, he lives in a modest apartment and spends only on the bare essentials — bills and food. Everything he once dreamed of as a child no longer matters to him. He lives to work himself to the bone, not works to live".
I have a bit of info about him in English. I think I took my worst personality traits and multiplied them by ten for him (I have a somewhat bad temper, but not that bad, haha)
The second character is David Sullivan. I was inspired by David 8 and Brandon Sullivan from "Shame." Yes, I'm very original, sorry ;-)
(Unfortunately, the info on the first image is in Russian — I just didn't think I'd be posting this here. But later, if I don't forget, I'll make an English version.)
