Temperatures are rising! Summer is officially ON! Time to Pump up the Promos! Whether it’s sponsoring bikini contests, pool parties, or promoting at clubs, we’ve got the #411 on how to ensure these marketing techniques are a raging success! Here’s a few ideas to get you started.

Sponsor a local bikini contest. This time of year, bikini contests are happening weekly. Locate one near you and sponsor this fun event by donating a tanning package, bottle of lotion or other gifts as grand prizes. Your salon is sure to get great exposure, all while being easy on the marketing budget. You can even offer discounted pricing to potential contestants, helping to gain additional revenue.

 Sponsor a Pool Party at your local college or even an apartment complex. Most colleges host pool parties every weekend. Pass out complimentary branded items with your salon’s logo and fliers with special promotions geared toward college co-eds. If you’re not located near a college, try it at your local apartment complex. Many have themed events regularly and usually allow you to showcase your business free of charge.

 Get out and partner with Night Clubs. They are notorious for having a “themed” event almost daily. Get in on the action! It’s always free as long as you provide giveaways for the event. By handing out gift cards for tanning services and even free product giveaways, you’re keeping your salon’s name in the forefront of one of your biggest markets! Hang banners in the venue and ensure promo cards for free tanning sessions are scattered throughout as well.

 Advertise before and after these events via social media, blogs and press releases. Get in touch with your local radio station and ask them to do a shout-out for your special event!

 Don’t forget to take pictures, you can use them for social media, additional press releases, advertisements and more!

We love these 5 easy Margarita Recipes! Since today is #CincoDeMayo after all, we've decided to show off some of our favorites, inspired by our Tanfusion Collection! 

#1 Berry Me Darker Margarita aka (Berry Margarita)

Combine all ingredients in a blender, mix until frothy.

-4 ounces tequila

-8 ounces triple sec

-2 cups berries (mixed, assorted)

-1 cup ice

#2 Mango Me Bronze Margarita aka (Mango Margarita)

 Combine all ingredients in a blender, mix until frothy.

-1/2 lime

-1/2 cup tequila

-1 ounce triple sec

-2/3 cup mango nectar

-3/4 cup frozen mango

-2 ounces simple syrup

-3 tablespoons lime juice

-1 cup ice

#3 Melon Me Darker Margarita aka (Melon Margarita) 

Combine all ingredients into a blender, mix until frothy.

-1 lime wedge

-1 1/2 ounces tequila

-1 ounce Midori Melon liqueur

-1 ounce lime juice

-1 cup ice

#4 Cherry Me Black Margarita (Cherry Margarita)

Combine all ingredients into a blender, mix until frothy.

-1/2 cup frozen cherries

-1 1/2 ounces tequila

-2 ounces cherry juice

-1 ounce lime juice

-1 ounce triple sec

-2 cups ice

#5 Take Me Tropical Margarita (Tropical Margarita)

Combine all ingredients into a blender, mix until frothy.

-1 lime wedge

-2 1/2 ounces OceanSpray Mango Pineapple Juice

-1 ounce tequila

-1/2 ounce triple sec

-2 teaspoons agave nectar

-2 cups ice
