Viren is reaching out like he's reaching for help. There's desperation in his eyes and, even though it's not shown in this gif, he actually sheds a tear as he's turned to stone. As we saw this season (season 4), he doesn't want to do this anymore.

Callum, on the other hand, never takes his eyes off the cube. Unlike Viren who's reaching for help, Callum is reaching for the key. It looks like he doesn't even care that he's being turned to stone. To Callum, the key is more interesting than anything else. It has his undivided attention.

But notice how Aaravos bows to Callum too.

Yes, Aaravos made Callum mimic his movements because of the possession, but they didn't do the exact same thing throughout the scene. When Callum was going to each person and saying their insecurities, Aaravos stayed still. When Aaravos sat in the chair towards the end, Callum stayed standing.

So Aaravos purposely bowed to Callum when he didn't have to.

Aaravos has some level of respect for Callum.

"You look as young and ravish...as the day you betrayed me."

The passive aggressiveness in this gif alone. The compliment immediately followed by a bitter comment. Classic.
