Zevran was technically working, he'd scouted the area where the inquisitor was going to make his address and noted every problem area where he suggested having scouts and left it pinned to the inside of the inquisitors chamber doors. He'd been asleep, soundly, risky move in a city like this as far as Zevran was concerned. Maxwell should have had one eye open, it'd been too easy for Zevran to slip in, leave the note and be on his way. That was a problem for the inquisitor to fix himself.

Zevran walked along the the streets of the city, light had only just broken but people were already up and setting up their stalls or running errands. He has one place he wants to go today and he'd rather go while it was quite. Every chantry was quiet, serene and warm. He walked past statues of the Andrastian disciples and martyrs. He notes that Shartan is missing. He usually was. And if he wasn't his ears had been snapped off or painted over. The Liberator as he should have been was never anywhere to be seen.

Zevran stops at the the central statue of Andraste. There was already candles burning at her feet, he wasn't the first to come here this early. He sighed softly and picked a candle from the box.

Father. Mother. Rinna. Taliesen. The Circle Mages. The Dalish Camp. The Hero of Ferelden. He lights each one and carefully finds a space for one. He'd holding the last one, the one for the warden and notices someone beside him unable to find a candle to light.

Develva tilted her head and stared into his eyes. "I fear helping with pain is my duty in this clan, human" She hissed to Cole. "I do not need assistance, especially from you" Develva considered her harsh words for a moment. Something about this strange creature made her think that maybe he wasn't human. Just...similar to one.

She sighed. All Hollow's Eve was rough for all factions, and perhaps this human was only lost with no ill intent.

He continues to just stand there, so still his stance was rather statuesque. the weariness, the lifetime of protecting ones own clan..the pain of what the shemlens bring. Distant, hurt, but still there. He can hear it. He can feel it. He can help, she just has to let him in. It may not end her suffering, but the least he can do is offer her comfort.

There was much to prepare for All Souls Day. With Develva being a healer and dedicated to the hearthkeeper she was in charge of assisting the Keeper with rites and building altars honoring the dead. She glanced at the list hastily scrolled down for supplies she needed to gather.

Develva stood straight when she heard someone approach. She expected elves from around Thedas to pay their respects, but this intruder was human. Something was different about him, though. As if he straddled the realm between this world and the next.

"Why are you here, Shemlen?." The druid approached Cole with appreciation. She was less aggressive than usual, worn down with all the tasks that needed to be finished before All Souls Day. "You are not elvish. You do not share our blood. Why are you here?" She asked once more

When: All Souls Day, afternoon

Being the scholar that she was, Minaeve was excited to be assigned to Val Royeaux for All Souls Day despite the somber atmosphere. Between the academy and the Orlesian culture, there was much to explore outside of the remembrances scheduled.

Of course, Minaeve had some grief. She had opted not to go to the Dales in fear of facing her old clan. There were tranquil that had escaped Minaeve's previous circle with her that had not survived the assault on haven.

As the bells toll Minaeve was snapped out of her memory. She looked to the, quite frankly, strange looking person on her left. "Its interesting to see how everyone mourns differently" Minaeve's eye caught onto some passing clerics "Holidays like this remind me that all of us, no matter human or elf or dwarf, have shared experiences"
