I put this piece through a few more passes for the prompt today. This one was loosely inspired by the opening scene of Grave of the Fireflies, a film (based on a book) about the consequences of war on children.

i havent tried drawing a legitimate detailed portrait of maxson (much less any other fo4 character other than maccready 😭) but here's a first attempt at drawing from reference.
