While is seems like there are a lot of rules please know that the whole point of this is to have fun (itās rule number one) and while we would love for you to read them all itās okay to just jump in and try us on for size.
The New Republic RP takes place in an AU 15 years post-ROTJ. The main setting is āThe Baitā - a middle-to-upper class bar on Coruscant (but it has itās shady areas for the lower class.)
1. First, and foremost, this is a GAME. Have fun. If this game is causing stress, talk to a mod or make a note on the ācomplaints and suggestionsā board.
2. No Canon/Legends characters are allowed for anyone. The Canon characters that exist post Return of Jedi can be referenced, but for this game - they are off doing other things. Characters cannot be related to Canon/Legends characters.
3. The only time a character needs to be requested/approved is if it is an original species you wish to create, or if you wish for the character to start off with force powers higher than a Jedi Knight, Sith Warrior, Dark Jedi Knight, or Grey Jedi Knight. Characters that are a Canon/Legends species, and have force powers that are no higher than those previously mentioned do no require request/approval.
4. If you are playing a Jedi Knight, Dark Jedi Knight, or Sith Lord; please let a manager know so that your character can be added to the proper channel.
5. If you are playing a Senator, make sure to read the Senate rules, then contact a manager so that your character can be added to the Senators page, along with what planet they represent.
6. Do NOT use OOC knowledge IC. If your character did not hear it directly, or read it on something like the public holonet, they DO NOT KNOW IT. They cannot assume it, guess it, or act on it in any way. Just because one of your characters knows something doesnāt mean they all do. (If a manager notices this trend, your post is subject to be deleted, and you will be PMād as to why, and asked to repost without using the OOC knowledge)
7. If you wish to have ownership of a planet and/or organization, or wish for your character to be a Senator of a planet, that must be requested (We donāt want four Senators from Corellia running around the Senate).
8. To play a member of the New Republic Forces, or the Coruscant Security Force, please contact one of the managers. They will get you set up with the individual in charge, and make sure the proper channel is updated with your name and rank.

10. The Republic Senate Space Station is a No Kill Zone. Everywhere else in the game is fair play.
11. We are not going to list all the Force Powers. Use common sense. A Jedi cannot use darkside powers (ex. Force Lightning), and Darksiders cannot use lightside powers (Ex. Force Healing). Grey Jedi are expected to use a balance of both. If a character is seen abusing this too much, a moderator may have them change the path they are following in the Force.
12. If you are granted ownership of a planet, it automatically comes with an orbital defensive fleet. You may request a fleet individually for your character, provided there is a good reason for your character to have one. (more about fleets and armies here).
13. Death Stars, Starkiller Bases, etc. will not be approved at this time, so please do not bother requesting them.
14. Any canon weapons/armor can be used without approval. Again, please use common sense here. If your character is not a Mandalorian, but has Mandalorian armor, have a good backstory as to how they got it - be creative!
15. If you are Force Master of some kind and making a holocron, artifact, item, etc., it must be requested so we have record of it, it can be reviewed/approved to make sure it isnāt overpowered, and so the game remains fair.
16. Please limit cussing. It is allowed, as it exists within the Star Wars movies and books; but if your character is throwing around the f-bomb in every other sentence, you will be warned, and then likely booted from the room.
17. Control of any planet/empire/organization/clan MUST be requested. The use of any ship larger than a CR90 Corvette (for reference) MUST be requested, even if itās a single ship.
18. The closing rule, as we expect everyone to act like adults, is use common sense. When using Force powers within your rank (Padawan, Apprentice, Knight, Master, etc.), when creating your charactersā backstories, when fighting, just donāt go overboard.
