Drift isn’t sure whether to be intriged or troubled by what he finds upon entering his hab. he was certain he had locked the door behind him when leaving for the beginning of his shift earlier that cycle, but the package that rests at the back of his room, tucked neatly on the desk fashion there, says otherwise.

it sits there, mocking him; unassuming in its brown paper wrapping. almost going unseen with how dim the lights were. but Drift had always something of a sixth sense, and it wasn’t long before he found what was twisting his usually spiritually balanced living space off-kilter.

he’s half tempted to comm Magnus and have the enforcer come quarantine the offending object. but the state of security risk that having something unknown be left in a high ranking officer’s personal quarters might have been too much for the SIC to handle, and Drift wasn’t ready for a ship wide scare over something so insignificant. so he tosses that idea, choosing instead to inspect it himself.

and he was glad he did, because what he found awaiting him inside the neatly wrapped bundle was a collection of heartfelt and specially catered gifts. all of which he would keep and cherish. in fact, the swordsmech is already trying on the scarf. wrapping it around his collar for safe keeping while he goes to carefully inspect each and every precious gem.
