Which has it down. It’s not that domestic/sexual violence against men doesn’t happen, it’s just that society is constantly turning a blind eye to it. It’s a really messed up and often institutionalized “if we can’t see it, it doesn’t happen” mentality re-enforced by the fact many male victims are afraid to come forward. Especially if they’re the victim of a woman because then they just get treated like the butt of a joke.

i think it might be worthwhile to add that whenever you apply for literally anything in SK (and maybe other asian countries, i’m not too sure) whether it be a job application, an online form, one of the questions will always be “do you suffer from a mental illness (such as depression, bipolar disorder adhd etc) and then leads on to “do you take medicine?” and if you select yes to either or both of those questions, i can guarantee that you will not get what you were applying for. i believe that companies do this not only to discriminate against those suffering from mental health issues but to keep it under wraps. it’s not a widely talked about subject simply due to the fact that people don’t want to talk about it, and it ‘might be a threat to the economy.’ people aren’t allowed to voice their feelings, and aren’t allowed to apply for the careers they’ve always wanted, because of an involuntary illness. that’s why the suicide rates are the 2nd highest in the world. just thought you’d like to know :((  ❤
