The anger turns to disappointment, the child’s shoulders drooping more and more as she tried to understand the concept. A hand came to her own chest, gently touching the area where her own heart lay, not sure what else to say, so instead she slowly nodded, pouting yet again.

The spirit didn’t recognize the female, yet somehow she seemed familiar. She cocked her head to the side, moving from her spot on the ceiling down to the actual ground, hovering a few inches above the carpeted floor.

“Oh!” She didn’t expect to see a child ghost in the mansion. But maybe she was friendly? Peach hoped so, with king boo at large a friendly face was needed. Kneeling down before the small ghost child, a gentle smile took her expression. “My name is Princess Peach! What’s your name?”

“Are you really a Princess or are you just sayin’ that?” she questioned, blinking a few times, not answering the question of her own name. Honestly she was a little surprised, no one usually wanted to know her name, since she was dead and all that.

Though she emphasizes the ‘you’, her words are not malicious at all, somehow. Instead she just sounds bored with the man, looking down at him from where she is floating from the ceiling. You think she’d at least have a bit more a reaction to re-seeing him.

❝I-I… I-It’s-a m-me…❞ He muttered back in a tense, warbly voice. Luigi and his Poltergust were backed up against a wall of the topsy turvy Guest Room– he tentatively peeked up at the ceiling from beneath the rim of his cap and recoiled, shuddering involuntarily. She might only be a child, but she was still a ghost, and Luigi knew from first-hand experience how dangerous each of the portrait ghosts were. His grip on the vacuum handle tightened.

“Why do you gotta come in here and wake me up!? You’re so mean!” she snapped, glaring down at him. Instantly the furniture in the room began rattling, mirroring the ghost child’s anger. She obviously was more than ready to attack him. “Why are you back here!? Leave me alone! Bully!” she accused, practically yelling.
