what am i but the edges of circles i find myself coursing around, never through, distracted from the real, distracted from connection, in pursuit of something more personally meaningful, fleeting faces, fleeting fascinations.

saw this outside our window and thought about Almond Blossoms by Van Gogh

passing the kitchen, it always catches you, the guiltiest gaze, the mind a haze, passing the kitchen, it always catches you, the grimy basin, remove the stain, passing the kitchen, it always catches you, the musty odour, something decayed, passing the kitchen, it always catches you, the task is defined , the bench a maze, passing the kitchen it always catches you, the sink an ordeal, sight starts to wane, passing the kitchen, it always catches you, the unclean feeling, this mess you've made, passing the kitchen, it always catches you, again, again, again, and again.
