Laurmau

I really like people and characters who are aware of and straight up about their feelings. Laurmau does not hinge on stoicism or shyness to be the conflict of the relationship, instead the conflict comes from him being a shadow knight. My favorite moments; Aph leading him when he was blind, the tablemau scene, and the werewolf wedding arc. Overall 4/5 for me, doesn't need to be forever canon, but let them dateee.

Aarmau

Trust me this is by a literal hair, but I do tend to lean towards canon couples. With how explosively extreme Laurænce and Garroth got in MCD, I see why canon Aph chose neither. Aaron is also a father who lost his kids so him + Aphmau post-timeskip tracks. I do like reincarnation cycle romances. My favorite moments; his goodbye, him and Aph sparring, and when he finally opened up. Overall 3/5 for me, mainly boosted by being canon and it kinda making sense imo.

Garmau

I'm also mildly disappointed that Aphmau spent most of the time singing. I also dislike the fact both Caspian and Layla died but weren't murdered, wouldn't it have been a fun contrast if Aaron spared Caspian but Aph didn't spare Layla? I think we could've cut down on the singing and allowed the tension to build winding up to Aph killing her.

I thought Jason said no more mouths on Minecraft characters why did Layla have a shark tooth grin? And where did her shark teeth go during the animated bit?

Since this will likely be my last Mermaid Tales post until (possible) S3, we didn't need both the MID boys and the pup pack in this. Imo the final pay off of them killing the general guy would be more satisfying if either group absorbed the other and were more reoccurring.

Was it the wolf who told Layla about the realm breaker? Because my mind immediately thought of mod mod world/void paradox instead.

Upsetting we didn't get to hear whatever the wolf told Aaron, but ig it'd be mystreet spoilers. Also where on earth did Aaron find the mcd baby pendant??

Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and the frog prince all have curses inherited (& or doomed to happen), with 'prince charmings' allowed to be anyone. Beauty is the beast's princess charming more or less, and it makes it really weird that The Beauty role gets passed down instead of The Beast role. It also inheriantly causes more problems because what if nobody got cursed to be a beast? Do they have to count on whoever inherited The Enchantress destiny to curse some rando to be a beast instead of the cycle all the other families have?

ZACH IS SO GETTING A REDEMPTION ARC I CAN SMELL IT. For the record, I hate the idea, nothing you can do will ever justify ABANDONING a child, and possibly grooming another to be a monster.

Ein had ever potions with who knows what effects used on him in the last chapter of his life, if Zach has known Ein so long Michael considers him Zach's child, that Sylvanna mistook him for an affair baby, and we *know* Zach isn't above experimenting on children...

Entering into evidence for my premonition; we know Zach and Elizabeth were persuaded by Michael to use the canon to under the promise he'd use it to stop some world ending threat (like it was intended to), one last time has a comet motif, comets do tend to end worlds. As to what I think it'll look like, psssh I dunno, per Jason's foreshadowing turns out Zach is a cursed soul too, so make him literal canon fodder I guess.

I feel bad for people who genuinely enjoyed cocomau, and feel blindsided by this. Like I said I had a hunch this whole time, but I do know a lot of people in the fandom watched the 'smp' for comfort.

This is some biblical ultimatum, get your childhood series back but in order to fund it the creators make AI slop for children. Kids deserve better than Ai entertaining them, they deserve things made with passion and love not stolen art and an absurd amount of water.

They had a lot of options beyond choosing this. They could've alternated between having their team of writers write scripted stuff and going back to how cocomau started; mod reviews. They could've finally backpedaled on daily uploads and started uploading on weekends. Yet, they landed on this one.

At least on commercial if something happens there are hundreds of witnesses with cameras, and the perpetrator gets arrested upon landing.
