part of me wants to be like "do people really not know this" and part of me knows full well i only read the labels because i have gut problems and don't want to suffer

anyway i've had my eye on the fat content for years. actual ice cream made with real cream won't trigger my lactose intolerance, because the higher the fat content of dairy, the lower the lactose content. my personal tipping point is around half-and-half so if you make "ice cream" with with skim milk, the enshittification i experience is unfortunately literal

this is me coming full circle bc i first started posting on tumblr when i got into the supergirl CW show! anybody remembers?

kara has to be my most comfortest character... i love her so much, each and every iterations of her. i watched the movie!! i liked it a lot... i had read the comic a while ago so i have some opinions ofc but, with the amount of negativity and misogyny surrounding the movie, i prefer to keep those for my friends. either way, milly alcock did a wonderful job!!! truly an inspiring and moving portrayal of kara:)

OFC!! one of my favourite things to explore abt supergirl is her relationship w clark... the supercousins r so dear to me.

most of these drawings are my own version of supergirl though mixed with some of woman of tomorrow, the movie and the show... and well :)) lena... gorgeous gorgeous girl.

the second drawing is me thinking abt how instead of just using glasses as a disguise, maybe kara lets her eyes glow whenever shes in supergirl regalia... taking a page out of woman of tomorrow where ruthye described how kara is ALWAYS holding back instead of doing effort to gain speed or strength or anything, shes just always slowing down and controlling herself...

control, grief and anger has always appealed to me when it comes to kara. i think she's the perfect character to explore those with... yeaeyeayea

the removal of physical media is not the inevitable progression of improving tech, its like the removal of the 3.5mm jack: purely a result of profit physical games still account for about 1/5th of all sales of video games

but by only selling digital games sony can be the ultimate arbiter of their price. they can stop you lending games and force another sale instead. they can stop the sale of second hand games and keep prices artificially high. they can set any price they want and that will be your only option.

#this is actually terrible #and i'm livid #were physical discs already a scam because you had to download 234908 updates yes #but at least you owned something #price fixing arguments aside the other huge problem with this is the lack of ownership #sony can pull the game whenever it wants sony can retire the game and kill it forever and there's nothing you can do about it #i think about video game history collectors who lovingly preserve games that have been abandoned or have gone out of print #and how much care and beauty goes into that hobby #and how the lack of physical game data to archive will impact our ability to record game history in a meaningful way #the ephemerality of purchases #and the struggle society is having with agreeing on a shared version of reality #are not disconnected phenomena #big data dystopia tag
