Authors have until March 30th, 2026 (That is just 9 days as of this reblog, which I am posting on March 21st, 2026) to file their claim against Anthropic to be reimbursed up to $3,000 per work found in the list.

The United States actually had open borders until 1924

The Immigration Act of 1924 had an overall negative impact on the economy and foreign relations with Asia, but Hitler praised it.

ICE didn't exist until 2003

Illegal immigration is not actually classified as a crime. If it was, cases would be handled by the judicial branch, and defendants would receive the benefits of due process. But because it isn't, it is handled by the executive branch, and defendants do not get due process. That means no lawyers, no jury, and no real judge.

Immigration "court" processes about 30 people at a time, including children, and the "judges," who are not required to have any experience or education in law, face no consequences for wrongful deportation, they are only evaluated based on how many people they process.

Before 2025 there were an estimated 20,000 wrongful deportations, with many confirmed and several reported on in mainstream media. That number skyrocketed in 2025.

The US had open borders before 1924. (which is not to say everyone was permitted, they excluded people based on race and disability, but 1924 is when the US was first considered to have closed borders)

I grew up in Canada, and when it was -25 C or below, they wouldn’t let us go outside for recess at school.

Like, everyone had boots and ski mittens and snowpants and winter coats, but still - indoor recess on those days. Cause the risk of frostbite was bad enough to justify everyone spending their lunch break supervising a classroom full of rowdy children.

That kind of cold is viscerally hostile to the human body. Your instincts will scream at you to GO INSIDE. It’s an environment that’s fundamentally physiologically unsafe, and you can feel that.

I am writing these words with tears streaming down my face. I can no longer bear this pain. My wife is suffering from a severe deficiency in vitamins, especially vitamin D, and she urgently needs surgery to save her life. Her body is growing weaker day by day, malnutrition is stealing her strength, and I stand helpless watching her suffer.

I think these all give us a lot of intell on Jax's personal life outside the circus. And makes him like-able despite him being an obvious prick.

In my mind, he's been socialised through media, TV and those tropes he's seen over and over and romanticised he tries to apply in his own life and fails miserably because the characters around him are more "human", more complex.

Sure, bully × loser is a popular trope in coming or age, slice of life or high-school media, but in real life it usually ends up messy and the abuse is much more important than whatever "funny" situation the people might be experiencing.

Sure, going "a bartender and a tattoo artist? You're killing me here, Zoobie" might earn some laughs from the audience in a sitcom, but in their situation it just backfires and annoys everyone around him.

In the president pomni adventure that he suggested, he literally plays a part and turns to the "camera" where caine and bubble are watching and seems fully in his element. Same goes for the poach everything adventure that he begins with an introduction "hi everyone! In today's episode..."

Think Bugs Bunny. He can be kind of an asshole, is very mischievous and starts trouble. But he’s not invincible; he gets scared, gets beat up, attacked or judged. And it can be just as funny as when he’s a smartass.

Which is why Jax being the way he is is so interesting. Because when he is the butt of the joke, he acts like the joke is ruined. The maid dress is a very memorable moment, but Jax hates it because it means he’s the one being mocked. He’s the definition of “will dish it out but can’t take it.”

He’s fine with playing the role of the Lovable Jerk or the Funny One as long as he’s the one pulling it on others. But as soon as it gets turned on him, he gets upset.

My parents are living in Gaza in a very small room under extremely difficult conditions. They are elderly, exhausted, and have already lost their home due to the war. After being displaced many times, this single room is the only shelter they have left.

The rent for this room was $500, but the landlord has now raised it to $700, and the full amount must be paid within one week at most. If they are forced to leave, their health will seriously deteriorate. They cannot endure displacement again, and they cannot survive the cold outside.

They have no income, no savings, and no safe alternative. This room is the only thing standing between them and complete homelessness.
