Takeomi let’s out a frustrated sigh and looks at the four males sitting in the limousine with him. He had no idea why Mikey assigned him to this mission with Ran, Rindou, Haruchiyo and Kokonoi. This was the most random group of Bonten members and he wondered how high was Mikey when he thought of this. He pinched the bridge of his nose, listening to the argument that was currently happening between his younger brother and the other two brothers. Koko rolled his eyes and looked at the tablet that was in his lap, which showed the view from the hidden cameras. They had to get information about the owner of a specific club that was extremely popular in Roppongi. Mikey had suspicions that the owner, was a spy and worked for the fbi. Bonten had been showing up to that club more often and someone sent some information about them to the cops.

Shinichiro sano

You didn’t mean for it to happen. Honestly. You just wanted to spend a little more time with your beloved husband. Seeing as you haven’t seen him in a week because he’s been busy fixing up a motorcycle for a client. Yet, it all happened so fast too. You tripped over your goddamn shoelaces, which had resulted in you bumping into the stand of the motorcycle knocking it over. Shinichiro was in the back of his shop so when he heard the loud crash he dropped whatever he was holding and ran out.

“Y/n—what the hell did you do?!?” He shouted as he ran towards the bike that laid sideways on the ground.

“I’m-I’m sorry I tripped and-and I fell right o-on the bike. Shin I didn’t mean to do it I swear” you stuttered over your words as you tried to apologize. But it seems that shinichiro wouldn’t take that excuse.

“Y’know sometimes I wish you weren’t-“ he let out a sigh as he kept himself from saying anything else as he ran his fingers through his hair. “Just go back home y/n”

“Shin i didn’t-“

“Y/n go home. Now” his voice was stern, making you flinch . You could tell he was mad. Mad at you at least. He was exhausted too, seeing as he’s been spending his sleepless nights in his own shop. You got off from the ground as you watched him struggle to put the motorcycle back onto its stand. You would offer to help but you guess it would make things worse if you did.

“I’ll….I’ll see you back at home” You whispered “if you do actually come back”

He grumbled something as you left the shop. Not once had he asked you if you were ok.

When you got home, you changed into something more comfortable before grabbing a pillow and a spare blanket. Thinking it would be better for you to sleep on the couch so you can let the shinichiro cool down for the night.When he got home, he was back to his usual self, and he expected you to be passed out on the bed waiting for him. But when he didn’t see you there he got a little nervous. Thinking you probably left somewhere after his little outburst on you he ran out the bedroom hoping that whatever was above that you were okay. He saw the Tv in the living room on and when he went to go and turn it off he saw you sleeping peacefully on the couch. He felt his heart break. If anything he should be the one sleeping on the couch, not you. He crouched down beside you running his fingers gently on your cheek.

“God I’m so sorry for yelling at you” he mumbled out to your sleeping form “really hope you can forgive when you wake up and aren’t mad at me”

“I could never be mad at you shin. Even after you yelled at me” you mumbled out. Scaring him a little because he thought you were sleeping.

“Oh god Y/n I’m so so so sorry. I didn’t mean to lash out on you like that. Really. If anything I should be the one sleeping on the couch, not you. I was such an asshole to you”

“Yeah you really were” you agreed with what he had just said.

“You don’t have to forgive. Just please come back to bed with me” You smiled

“Only if you carry me”

Shinichiro let out a soft chuckle as he got up and leaned down to pick you up bridal style. He wrapped your arms around his neck

“Now hurry up. My neck kinda hurts a little and my back is killing me. I really need that comfortable mattress under me”

Kanji ‘Mochi’ Mochizuki

He’s been working harder than usual lately. The shipping that Bonten has been shiping out has been confiscated by police and they don’t know why. Their only suspicion is that there’s a mole under them. That’s what he's been doing. You only asked him to come down to eat dinner. But he refused saying he’s far too busy to be taking a break. You could tell he was frustrated, but you just kept pushing his buttons until he finally snapped at you.

“Kanji, you should really take a small break. Having a full stomach-“

“Y/n just shut it will you? Right now I can’t stand your damn voice I’m trying to work here”

You shut your mouth immediately as you fumbled with your fingers gently. You gulp down the lump In your throat as you let out a shaky sigh. Trying to fight to cry right in front of him thinking it would only make him more mad.

“Well, I just though-kanji you haven’t eaten-“ once again he stops you

“Just leave. I’ll be there when I’m ready”

All you could do is put on a sad smile noticing that not once had he taken his eyes off the paper he was reading.

“Oh….okay. I’ll just leave your food in the microwave for you to heat up later” You left closing the door shut behind you.

You ate dinner alone that night. Only took a couple of bites before throwing it away. Not because you didn’t like it but because you lost your appetite. After that, you walked straight to your bedroom changing into mighty clothes and grabbing nothing but your pillow and a spear blanket.

You made yourself comfortable on the couch as you snuggled into the warm blanket. You closed your eyes before letting out a small quiet sob. You cried yourself to sleep.

Kanji knew what he had done after he grew tired and grew a hurtful headache. Deciding that he’ll just head down to the kitchen. He was hoping to see you there, probably doing some late night dishes like you always do. But to his surprise you weren’t there, the dishes left untouched. He looked around only to find you peacefully sleeping all snuggled up against the blankets. You looked adorable. Until he noticed your tear stained cheeks and wet eyelashes. He felt a slight pain in his heart once he realized the only reason we were crying was because of him. He picked you up bridal style with ease as he took you into your shared bedroom. Gently laying you done and pulling the covers up to your chin he went to go change. You felt the bed dip slightly as Kanji got into bed making himself comfortable.

“I know you’re awake” he mumbled out “I should’ve never yelled at you like that I’m-“

“Can we just forget about it? Please? I just wanna sleep with you right now. We-we can talk about it in the morning”

“If that’s what you want”

You moved closer to him as he lifted his arms up so that you had an easy access to his chest as you laid your head on his peck throwing your arm over his waist. He secured your body on top of his as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder pulling you closer.

“I really am sorry”

“I know kanji. I know”

Takeomi Arashi

Date nights are rare between you and your husband Takeomi. Today was not different either. Takeomi was the one who planned the date night, calling off work for the special occasion. You really were excited, wearing a nice fancy black dress , wearing your fancy black heels, heck taking at least three hours doing your makeup and hair. After that you went straight down to the living room hoping to find a ready and handsome Takeomi. But you found the opposite. He looked annoyed and he typed away on his phone. You watched as he took off his black blazer and draped it over the couch. He let out a groan.

“Omi, is everything ok?” You asked. Walking up to him as you gripped his forearm gently. He shrugged you off

“There’s an emergency meeting I have to attend” he grumbled, ignoring your glances. You gulped

“But-um you promised Remember?”

“Look I know!” He yelled slightly, you flinched softly as you took a step back. He noticed and cleared his throat “some low life’s can't do something so simple”

“Don’t really seem clingy right now but can’t you not go? It’s probably just that one of your illegal shipments got into the hands of the police again.” You said as Takeomi let out a loud sigh. “I’ve also been waiting to go on this date with-

“Y/n, The meeting is more important than some stupid date I promised to take you in, alright? I can just reschedule or something” he took off the blazer that he had placed on the couch and put it back on.

“Oh then maybe you should go if it’s that important than”

He grumbled something before he left without saying goodbye. You frowned as you dragged your feet back up to the bathroom. Taking off the hours of makeup off with a makeup wipe. Although most of the makeup was already runny as you let a couple of tears drop. You walked to your shared bedroom after you were done changing out of the dress and kicking off the heels leaving you nothing in your undergarments. You changed into your pajamas, grabbing nothing but an extra pillow and a blanket from the closet. The blanket was dragged along the floor as you made your way to the living room. You got comfortable as you slept, not bothering to stay up and wait for Takeomi.

Takeomi came home late like usual after a bonten meeting, completely forgetting about the little argument he had with you that night. He expected you to be back in bed reading a book wide awake, waiting for him. What he hadn’t expected was to find you sound asleep on the living room couch. That’s when he recalls what happened before he left for the meeting. He felt bad, of course he did, but he did what he needed to do. He walked over to your sleeping form and picked you up. Walking all the way to your chaired bedroom before gently placing you down. You mumbled something and turned your back to him as you snuggled against your own pillow. Unaware to him you were wide awake

“Maybe I should call of work for a week”

“You should”

You let out a soft laugh as you turned to face him. He looked more tired than usual. You scoot over and pat the space next to you. Takeomi compiled as he laid next to you. He pulled you closer as you snuggled closer to his side.

“Look I’m really sorry about earlier. Should have never yelled at you like it”

“S ok, but now you have to make it up to me with another date Omi”

He let off as you gently pushed you off of him . He shifts on top of you. Feeling his hot breath by your ear all you could do was swallow the lump of Saliva that was caught in your throat.

“How about I make it up to you tonight, here in the bedroom hm?

Summary: If you stayed tonight, then you would stay tomorrow, and the day after that, and who knows how many week or months it would become? No. He never looked back and you would do the same.

You pressed your back against the warm window glazed by sunlight and rolled the white gold ring adorning your middle finger, unable to look at the sapphire that resembled his eyes.

Prosciutto was on a long-term mission, two weeks if he had estimated correctly, and you were alone in your apartment once again after a day in the office and the farewell party your coworkers threw in your name. You had put in the paperwork for a transfer two weeks ago to another branch and today you had received the confirmation for a position as an art director in Nice, France.

The movers had already packed your things into a truck on it’s way to a storage unit in Nice.

Wow, I don’t really know where to begin with a meta showing the differences between Jackie/Kelso and Jackie/Hyde just because they’re such different relationships and I haven’t really seen anyone argue over who should be with who, like Jackie/Hyde is so universal to me (within the fandom) that I’ve never considered writing a meta about the two ships.

I was never really a fan of Jackie and Kelso even before Jackie and Hyde were a thing, it’s not like I shipped Jackie or Kelso with anyone else but I didn’t pay that much attention to their relationship. That 70s Show came out when I was, like, 8 so as a kid I saw them more as comedic relief in the form of a duo than as an actual ship if that makes sense. Then when I got older and rewatched it I realized how fundamentally toxic Kelso and Jackie were and how even from the beginning when Hyde didn’t like Jackie, he still respected her and thought she deserved better, that’s the major difference.

I mean yes, superficially, the difference that sticks out the most is that Kelso and Jackie were very much alike:

whereas Hyde and Jackie were fundamentally different

And these very obvious contrasts of course mean very obvious differences in dynamic. But the most important difference is, as I said, the respect.

Jackie and Kelso’s relationship is portrayed comically but it was a terrible one. That isn’t to say there weren’t cute moments:

or moments that showed how much Kelso knew Jackie:

But throughout their relationship, Kelso was either cheating on Jackie:

Or he pressures her about sex:

Or he continuously tells the group how he’s going to break up with her but refrains from doing so either because she can be useful to the group:

Or because they were physically intimate.

And Michael admits that Jackie makes him feel bad about himself:

which is meant to explain why he repeatedly cheated and lied to her, which of course is an utterly immature response.

On the other hand,Jackie and Hyde, even though their dynamic is at first genuinely confrontational, Hyde expects her to realize she deserves more than what she puts up with from Kelso:

and is visibly irritated by the way Kelso flaunts his relationship with Laurie:

and is protective of Jackie’s vulnerability and state of being:

which is why he goes to jail for her (I mean, it’s also a part of his self-fulfilling prophecy but that’s another post):

(while incidentally, Kelso pushes Jackie to the side and yells, “Out of my way” in “Halloween”)

and its also why he punches Chip when he explains that he’s going to use Jackie for sex and calls her a bitch

This respect feeds into their actual relationship because while Kelso was emotionally manipulative and while he consistently lied to Jackie, there was always transparency between her and Hyde. For instance, when Jackie finally chooses Hyde in 6x01, he kisses her, yes, but he doesn’t lie to her about going on a date with another woman, which Kelso would’ve done in their relationship. The transparency was there even when it was something neither of them wanted to admit to, which was usually how much they actually cared about each other, and that was more about self-deception, which they get over once they talk to each other about whatever they’re self-deceiving about:

and the last gif actually segues into the other difference between Jackie and Hyde and Kelso and Jackie — the level of maturity, which is related to one of the first points I made about how the obvious difference is that one dynamic is an opposites attract dynamic and the other isn’t.

Jackie and Michael may understand how the other thinks

but bonding over the arguably vapid aspects of their personalities doesn’t encourage growth in either of them, which actually consistently disappoints Jackie and which also consistently makes Kelso feel bad

which only further perpetuates their cycle.

By virtue of being polar opposites who care about each other and respect each other, Hyde and Jackie naturally push the other to grow. Jackie learns that being domineering and spoiled won’t get her way with Hyde:

while Hyde learns to be vulnerable and to go outside of his comfort zone:

and they both learn to compromise:

and their effect on each other is noticeable to everyone around them:

whereas everyone consistently told Jackie she could do better and told Kelso that she made him unhappy.  

Something else I’ve also noticed while looking up gifs for this post is that while Hyde and Jackie will be physically intimate in background scenes just by being together and being close

I barely if ever remember seeing Kelso and Jackie be so casually intimate with each other, it was always a display of sloppy kissing. All in all, Jackie and Hyde were a much more nuanced relationship and a much healthier relationship and a much more affectionate relationship imo,

Red in the Garage/Driveway with His Kids

You can’t look at that last gif and not tell me Red didn’t see some kind possible connection between Hyde and Jackie. Look at that smile and laugh he gives Hyde when he sees his reaction to seeing Jackie working on the Vista Crusier.

Also Red has known Hyde for years and had that day spent a lot of time with Jackie, he’s gotten to know them both really well and could probably get a sense at how similar they really were.

When he sees how shocked and impressed Hyde is with seeing this side of Jackie, Red’s got to agree. Red’s now learned that Jackie is full of surprises and could have been telling Hyde this with that smile, knowing it would only be a matter of time before she gave Hyde the biggest surprise of making him fall for her.
