HARi is a FICTIONAL korean singer, songwriter, and actress under pledis entertainment. she is the lead vocalist of the boy group, SEVENTEEN. hari made her group debut on may 26, 2015 with the group's 1st ep, 17 CARAT. she made her solo debut on august 7, 2020 with her 1st ep, HARI.

BACKGROUND !

jung hari was born on march 14, 1998, in seoul, south korea, to jung jangcheol and kim hyemin. she comes from a wealthy family that owns korea’s first luxury jewelry brand, haneul & stone. as an only child, hari is considered the black sheep of the family for choosing to pursue an idol career instead of preparing to take over the family business.

in 2010, hari auditioned for jyp, cube, and pledis entertainment. she ultimately chose pledis, as they were the only company that consistently reached out to her in an effort to sign her as a trainee.

after 4 1/2 years of training, hari appeared in various pre-debut content, including seventeen tv and hoshi and seungkwan’s andromeda. as the most popular female trainee, pledis decided to include her in the final lineup alongside the other seventeen members.
