general rp etiquette applies. please respect sutekh as a higher being who is capable of killing. he is literally the god of death.

modern doctor who knowledge only, but i am open to interacting with characters from other doctor who eras and media

sutekh is from bbc's doctor who. while i follow canon, i will also be writing him as the physical manifestation of the doctor's fears and insecurities. see this post for info.

ideas cannot be killed. a post-finale verse will include fragments and ideas - he's a psychic being, and a good way for sutekh to interact with you is for him to get into your characters mind. please let me know if you don't want this. otherwise i will assume it's okay.

sutekh can decide how he wishes to present himself. he manifests as a black dog (the universally accepted symbol for death) because of the doctor. however, if he wishes, he can walk amongst the living as if he's one of them.

i will impliment a humanoid version of sutekh predominantly when the plot calls for it, or if there are no other options for the thread.

was that .. annoyance? frustration? coming from the victor himself! it's small, yet the satisfaction sutekh feels from it is almost tangible. the god of death is, of course, of the strong opinion that he should have never been defeated; that the mistake that had resulted in such a damning failure had resulted purely out of his own faults. his fixation, his curiosity, they had been factors which he had placed above what he had known the doctor to be capable of. yet still, it had placed him in a rather .. satisfying position. to perhaps witness the little lord of time come to the full realisation that he was now, just as much as he had ever been, a vessel of death.

a vessel that sutekh had once used as a tool to spread his gift, and now a vessel that sutekh will take the greatest pleasure of tormenting. for such a being that is as capable and as established as the doctor, he knows that twisting his will to sutekh's is futile. yet perhaps .. perhaps he could assist in a wide awakening; with a focus on reality. it is, of course, the least he can do.

❝Is that so?❞ he doesn't hide the pleasure that underlines his tone. why should he? the doctor could not get rid of him, for they were anchored together. the balance between life and death. intertwined. and simply because he had not manifested until recently, did not mean that sutekh had not always accompanied him on some level. the only difference was sentience. and just how vindictive sutekh was now. ❝Let's put that little wish to the test, old friend. Go. Run to the ends of the universe. Let's us see if I can keep up.❞

he could smell it. the stench of death on them; the experience that was laced heavily into their existence. death is supposed to be the final call, so for torvic to have crawled back into the land of life .. oh, there's a disconcerting edge to sutekh that was not present before. but as judgmental as he was, as much as he so obviously looks down on them, he can sense that there's more to this individual that meets the eye.

❝She tampered with you.❞ he observes, annoyance twisting in his tone. ❝The founder of Gallifrey itself. How .. infuriating.❞ tecteun had done enough damage; extended the lives of thousands beyond their years and .. perhaps, worst of all, allowed her little experiment to run free onto the universe. he could sense it on torvic. the potential .. and the limitations. such wasted potential.

the tardis is most certainly big enough for the both of them. for such a being of incredible power would certainly not opt to attach themselves so desperately to such a vessel, ( to be whisked around the time vortex - time and time again ) if there were not at least some room in there available to accommodate it.

❝Fool. For if the Eye of Harmony itself can linger within the confines of this machine, it goes to reason that the infernal contraption can accommodate us both. Especially under the very obvious condition of my manifestation as an invisible top hat, wouldn't you agree?❞

❝Wishing is the futile endeavor of the weak and the powerless. I need not rely on wishes. My will alone shapes reality.❞

there's familiarity with this one. a twisted heart, a sense that he is beyond the usual random crowd that walk the universe. although they have not met, sutekh can still sense the unmistakable stench of none other than the toymaker; a being that is wise enough to run from him, yet not wise enough to impart such wisdom on this one. or perhaps it was simply the fact that the god of games did not care as to the wellbeing of anyone but himself.

it's curious. yet despite his preconceptions, sutekh welcomes this interaction .. however unexpected, and despite the clear judgement he absolutely holds over the mere existence of jim .. sutekh craves for a more equal conversation. while he views the rest of humanity as ants, perhaps this one can be seen as more of a pet ( which is a compliment .. if you can believe it. ).

❝But you.❞ his tone shifts into one which is more analytical; more interested. ❝Tell me .. what do you wish for?❞

❝You all revolt me.❞ his voice is low; rough. every corner of the universe where life exists, where beings were going about their days in blissful ignorance, revolted him. every living being was an insult to death, every living being was an opposition; a challenge, a futile fight to what they would all inevitably become. and some of them loved it. and he hated that.

however .. a being such as the master was less insufferable to him, maybe, than those who walked the universe in that ignorance, for at least he understood. if life was to indeed find a way in spite of his efforts, at least the master had an inclination of what it was like to fight, fail, and suffer under circumstances of which he could not control, too.

a solidarity in misery, almost.

❝You, perhaps, less so than others.❞ he allows, a bitterness wrapped into his tone. for he also could not deny the entertainment the master brings, for without him, life clinging to the doctor's tardis was so very .. very .. underwhelming. and so very, very boring.
