i think rumi would be part of the preppy popular crowd who hates it but feels like she has no choice, mira would be a stoner punk who needs maryjane to quell her anxiety, zoey would obviously be a skater girl and an absolute GEEK.

jinu would be the typical perfect boy-next-door with a secret tragic past, mystery would be an emo loner, romance would an artsy fartsy theatre kid, abby would clearly be a himbo jock who can't tell when girls are hitting on him and also says some very gay shit to his bros in the locker room, and hot take, but i think baby would be a nerdy outcast and he'd attribute it to him being "too weird" but it's lowkey just that he's kind of an asshole LOL

celine would be the principal AND rumi's adoptive mom which is part of why rumi feels like she has to fit in. bobby would be the teacher that handles detention. gwi-ma would... not be there bc fuck him lol

i'd love there to be a little bit of rivalry between rujinu, like they both want to be valedictorian – it'd also be hilarious if they got crowd prom king and queen but couldn't stand each other so they had to take photos together and fake smile hehehe

i'd also enjoy digging into past beef and unlikely friendships between some of them. maybe baby was popular at one time but lost his popularity cuz of damaged reputation. maybe mira hates abby bc she thinks him complimenting her is just concealed bullying but he's actually being serious.
