I wasn't able to share more information regarding Colombia's earthquake since I was running some errands yesterday, but I want to publish the current state of the country and some options for aid and donations worldwide (since the c*nt we have as president is Tr*mp and N*t*ny*h*'s bitch; hasn't allowed any international aid unless it comes from ultra right-wing governments such as the United States and Isnotreal; and is more worried about bombing people in the Catatumbo region. And yes, I sound rude, but that man doesn't respect human lives; I'm not obligated to respect him either).
So, in terms of casualties and damage, the last report provided by the Government informs that 265 people have died (most of them are from capital cities like Pereira, Cali and Quibdó; and hundreds of municipalities from the Risaralda, Caldas, Valle del Cauca and Chocó, including the epicenter San José del Palmar), 3,494 are injured and 496 are missing. Also, 11,347 homes are completely destroyed while 53,526 present damages; 140 buildings collapsed, 631 community centers are affected, 1,819 schools and universities are damaged, 179 hospitals and health centers have structural failures, 1 collapsed pedestrian bridge, 20 vehicular bridges damaged, 203 roads affected, 5 airports experiencing difficulties or closed, and 44 aqueducts are affected. Moreover, an unknown number of pets (especially, dogs and cats) have passed away or are missing too.
Right now, volunteers, firefighters, members of the Colombian Red Cross, engineers, nurses, doctors (including pediatricians, different types of surgeons, general practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, anesthesiologists, etc.), paramedics, veterinarians, and practically everyone is trying to help as much as possible. Nevertheless, there are people still trapped under the rubble since Monday, most of the hospitals attending the injured are operating at 100% capacity, and the National government's answer has been dreadful.
People and institutions from cities and departments that weren't extremely affected like Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, etc., are collecting water, food, medical supplies, personal care products, medicines, kitchen supplies and home goods. Also, the population is donating blood (I'm unable to do it because of my chronic ance medicine and my family has different chronic conditions) and money. That's why I would like to share some links and initiatives for helping the victims of the earthquake.
