also the implication that sans restocked toriel’s fridge with groceries is a very sweet detail, esp given we know she’s financially struggling as a single mother on a teacher’s salary. while i do get where they’re coming from (i.e. in understandably frustrated opposition to people who deign to make literally everything about him at the expense of other characters), people who genuinely act like gaster is a completely irrelevant nonentity do annoy me a little bit. like he’s right there. i don’t vibe with the idea that he’s some kind of all-encompassing evil mastermind whose sinister machinations lie behind every minute little thing either, but his role in the story and the fact that he’s potentially posited as a kind of storyteller figure is genuinely so fascinating. his role as we know it may be fairly small so far but i appreciate him a lot for what he is. i just think he is neat :)
