I first used Univers during a project based around the font in 2010. I’ve loved it ever since. I probably relied on it too much during my time at university but I think every designer needs to go through their Swiss Modernism phase in order to emerge as a better designer.

I still love that era, but that’s exactly what it was, an era. The rules and practices are essential knowledge for any modern designer but we are in a new era now, and that requires new thinking.

Some conceptual stuff for the Jazz-fusion saxophonist Sean Khan on Far Out Records. Didn’t end up going with this and used their usual designer, a pity as my brother did a solid remix on this LP and it would have been nice to have the Haukes on it together.

After a lot of admin my computer is finally ready for 2015. No longer shall I have to turn my clock back one more year, every year, to open Adobe software. It was in its 7th year. I've sold out, quit the band, gone straight, starting working in Bedrooms, Bathrooms and Beyond, and installed Creative Cloud.
