Guys... I went to see some Instagram reels of a reporter making a lot of interviews to the Tad Spanish's cast out of curiosity and I found GOLD instead.
Alright, so I believe mayyyyybe this info was going to have either an epic or casual reveal and could count as a spoiler of the upcoming movie since no one else (nor released info) has confirmed this... BUT I DON'T CARE!
I have waited for this reveal my whole life as a Tadeo Jones fan. This CANNOT wait any other second.
Okay, so this female reporter found in the Tad movie's premiere (I believe two days ago) the Latinoamerican VAs of Mummy & Ramona (and I believe their little son is the Prince of Paititi from what the man said as well)
And when they introduced themselves and who they voiced... I was frozen, stricken, gagged, utterly speechless, that I sat where I was for two. whole. minutes still processing what I just heard, my brain going "Did that just happen?"
Going straight to the point, here's an extract of the interview made to them, the part that made me lose my mind. Again, this could count as spoiler but I just have to share it for those who are very curious.
So possible spoilers in 3... 2... 1...
MUMMY'S REAL NAME IS TUPAC!!!
Like Tupac Amaru, but he's not Tupac Amaru, because many *important* people in the Tahuantinsuyo could have been given that name, according to this info:
The name in quechua means "royal", "shining" or "brilliant" and used for the nobilty, which kind of makes me doubt of my recent theory that past Mummy was a common soldier who grew in the ranks as the years went by. But to be fair, there have been cases of sons of the Sapa Inca (the supreme ruler) whose lineage didn't make them princes, but they had to serve in the military, which could be Tupac's case here.
Speaking of real life people whose name was Tupac...
I don't think our Mummy is any of those Tupacs, since he was already a young man back in 1502 (wow, he's OLD) but he could have been the inspiration for one of two of them to have that name, at least in the case of Tupac Amaru I.
Also while it's true that some Incan people only had one name (like Huáscar and Atahualpa), usually they have two names, such as Manco Inca, Huayna Cápac, so I don't know if he has another name that is going to be said in the movie or just this one.
And incas were born with one name and then they could change to another that defines them better as a way to transition into adulhood or a very life-changing event, like Pachacutec who initially was born as Cusi Yupanqui, so we don't know if Tupac is his birth name or his latest name as an experienced, beloved soldier.
Either way, I'm SO satisfied that he finally has a name, and that it was introduced in the fourth movie, where we are going to find out about his life, his relationship with the city of Paititi, his dreams, his ambitions, his reaction regarding Tad's group and especially, what he thinks about his future self, which I don't think it's gonna be pretty and will play a bigger part in the movie.
It's really nice to finally meet both of you.
