One of my favourite photos of Jiujitsu. It’s was taken during the first ever KL Jiujitsu Girls open mats - back in 2014 organised by @cupcakearmbar. A throwback cause I miss the girls and jits. Also. I don’t care which team you’re in. During this pandemic, we’re in this together. That’s the real deal. We’re in the same damn team. This view was so damn overwhelming that it got me tears. It’s one of those moments that changes your life forever. I made a promise to myself. I will never ever take this life for granted. That I would live a purposeful life and will always be grateful for everything and everyone around me. This is a land of plenty, I will seize every opportunity and work hard to achieve my goals. Since then, I got distracted with the usual, caught up with work and other shit, dwelling on negativity, and it’s a downward spiral caused by my own defeat. (Btw, I got rejected to all the business schools I’ve applied. Different story for another day.) As I sit here under the protective roof and comfort of my home with clean water, food supply and the connection to communicate with my loved ones, I’m reminded again of how truly blessed I am. 2018 has been about weddings and travels! Truly grateful for my two sisters-in-law and the experiences from traveling this year. But, another major part of my life that seriously had consumed most of my time in 2018 was my work. Again, I cannot thank God enough for the job that I currently have and the opportunities that I’ve been blessed with. However, it’s also been a real struggle (which I rather not be instagrammed).
