i saw your open request/ideas for fic and stuff and i was thinking about super shy reader x flirty loki ???
like sheâs a lab smth (bc iâm not sure what could she do sorry) and sheâs very anxious when she needs to ask for stuff not work related
she and loki started dating not long time ago and she loves physical touch, but she canât ask for it cause its just hard and flustering to just say bluntly what she wants
and so loki tries to help but him being himself doesnât help and so he suggests to start passing notes,
for exampleďżź: heâs in the kitchen drinking his coffee. She walks by gets her own tea and slip him a note which says something like combine by lunch I want to eat with you ďżź
or
sheâs in her bedroom and she finds the book heâs been looking for so she sleeps a note inside the book a few pages further which says I like when you kiss me before going to bed ďżźďżź
ďżź and he just starts looking for those and one time accidentally he finds a note he thinks he shouldâve not found bc the note has scribbles all over it
itâs clearly not finished and in the middle of those scribbles, the only thing he could read was : âŚtickledâŚ
and so he goes to her and says heâs been looking for something in her room and he found it accidentally and they started talking about it ďżźďżź
and he gets really curious about why she didnât say anything about that and why is that such a secret and stuff and she just stops him and slips him another quickly written note witch says : i like it/i like tickles or smth like that
and she just hides in him(like hugging him or smth)
i just really love soft bf loki and his flirty teasing ďżź nature , you can change whatever youâd like
i know itâs probably very chaotic but i tried to write it how i thought about it so⌠(sorry if you canât really understand the vision)
I LOVE YOUR STUFF ALSO ITS SO GOOD ITS CRAZY YOU CAN WRITE SO WELL
this prompt is INSANE and i mean that in a good way. it's so cute and well-thought out and i will definitely have fun writing this. i will be working on this next.
also wtf thank you so much. every day i'm like "UGH I SUCK" but then seeing all your compliments makes me feel better. you guys are amazing!!
hi hi!! first of all, thank you all so much for the love on my recent fic and my semi-unstable return. i appreciate you all and you make me smile lots.
second of all, i have a whole list of prompts that i am still looking at and thinking about, but i think the reason im stuck now is because they're so old. i'm not saying i'll never complete them, but i think i need new inspiration.
SO! i will be accepting prompts for a day or two, depending on how many i receive. please be aware that there is NO PROMISE i will get to all of them. i am still just a girl with a 9 to 5 and a busy life, but i currently have the "i need to write a fic right now" bug so i'm looking to take advantage of that.
these prompts do not have to be just loki and they definitely do not have to be tickle fics. i can write romance, hurt/comfort, fluff, angst, etc for most marvel/criminal minds/spn characters. but i'll take whatever you give me.
warnings | fear of thunderstorms, mild swearing, tickling, hurt/comfort
synopsis | as a thunderstorm rages on, loki comes to help you
this story comes from this prompt that i received almost 4 years ago. itâs good to be back <3
Itâs just water.Â
Itâs just a flash.Â
Itâs just noise.Â
Over and over, you repeat those three phrases. Your therapist said it might help when a storm passes through. Sometimes, the rain is calm and it just takes a few deep breaths for your nervous system to regulate. Â
Itâs just water.Â
Then, the wind blows and knocks the tree branches against your window. Or in your case since you moved into the tower, it makes the building feel like itâs swaying. Lightning flashes bright, like a flash bang, and blinds you for just a moment. Â
Itâs just a flash.Â
Seconds later, thunder echoes through your room, shaking the walls. The sound is deafening. It sends a chill down your spine and your heart starts racing. Why is it so loud?Â
It is just noise.Â
When you lived back home, you had your mom to help you through a storm. You knew it was silly â an adult woman seeking her mother out during a thunderstorm â but she always provided you with a sense of calmness and it truly helped.Â
You didnât really have anyone here.Â
Well, thatâs not entirely true. You had people you could always go to about things. Youâd go to Nat when you needed advice on a certain combat move. You could always talk to Bruce about science because it has fascinated you since you were a little kid. You even had conversations with Tony about kids and how being a parent changed him.Â
But this? You had no one to go to about this. A hardened Shield Agent terrified of thunder and lightning... absolutely embarrassing.Â
You couldnât even really pinpoint when the fear manifested itself. You supposed it happened when a tree was struck in your backyard, crashing down on your neighborâs house. 180 degrees in the opposite direction and it could have been your home. Â
It might have been when a particular thunderstorm caused a tornado to slice through your town when you were 8, stealing the lives of hundreds. It was hard to determine when this phobia of yours stuck, but it didnât matter. Even in your late 20âs, rainstorms still felt as though some God out there had his hand around your throat.Â
Giving up on sleep for the time being, you swung your legs off your bed, wrapped yourself in your comfort fleece blanket and padded your way to the door of your room. It was past midnight, close to the witching hour, so you knew your teammates were most likely fast asleep. Quietly, you opened your door and peeked out into the hallway, noting how quiet it was out there despite the storm raging right outside your window.Â
You shut your door behind you and made your way to the common room. That room was your favorite place in the entire tower. You liked the gym, the lab, and your own room, of course, but the common room was made of the most memories â the best memories. Thoughts of late-night movies and playing video games pulsed in your head as you sank into the couch, attempting to drown out the storm.Â
Itâs just water.Â
Itâs just a flash.Â
Itâs just noise.Â
Another loud crack boomed through the building and you fought tears from spilling onto your cheeks. It was times like these when you really missed your mom. You didnât want to call her, though. Sheâd already be in bed and honestly, sheâd probably chastise you for calling because of this and not because you just wanted to talk to her.Â
Lightning flashed through the window and you counted to 3, waiting for the boom. Thunder struck and you felt the floor shake beneath you. Then, anxiety took over. What if the thunder was enough to shake the entire tower, sending it crashing to the ground? What if this thunderstorm was how you died? Not a villain, not old age, but a storm that swept you away.Â
What if, what if, what if?Â
Those thoughts spun around your mind and the tears you tried so hard to keep at bay raced down your cheeks. A quiet sob racked your chest as you prayed to anyone, whatever God that could hear you, that the storm would pass sooner rather than later. Â
âAre you alright?âÂ
A deep, timbre voice came from behind you, the English accent giving him away immediately. You sniffled, wiping your cheeks quickly before turning your head to look up at the tall demigod. âGosh, uh, yeah, Iâm fine.â You gave him a small smile. Â
Loki cocked an eyebrow, clearly noticing that you were, in fact, not alright. He rounded the couch and took the seat at the other end.Â
âSorry,â you apologized, âI didnât think anyone would be up this late.â You pulled your blanket up to your chin, averting your eyes away from him.Â
You wouldnât say you and Loki were friends. Acquaintances or co-workers, more like. He accompanied you and the rest of the team on missions, and you passed him in hallways or in the training room. But other than that, you rarely saw or spoke to him. He preferred to subject himself to solitude in his own room.Â
âI am usually up at this hour. I donât sleep much,â Loki replied. âI come in here once everyone else has gone to sleep. Itâs quiet and tolerable.âÂ
You nodded in understanding. This is your favorite room because itâs where most people spend their time. Itâs only Lokiâs favorite room when itâs been vacated, leaving nothing but silence in its wake. Â
Realizing you were interrupting his nightly routine, you cleared your throat and made to stand. âWell, Iâm sorry for intruding, then. Have a good night.âÂ
âI donât mind if you stay, Agent,â Loki said before you could fully stand up from the couch. You were taken aback by the quickness of his response, a slight scrunch of your forehead as you turned to look at him. âI was the one who intruded on you, after all.âÂ
Despite wanting to say something, anything at all, you were shocked into silence. This was probably the most heâd ever spoken to you outside of a mission, and... Gods it was so out of character for the man youâd known for close to a year. Â
Loki took your silence as rejection, however, and stood just as quick as he sat down. âActually, Iâll retreat back to my room for the night,â he said, giving you a tight grin. âGood night, Agent.âÂ
The second he turned to walk out, lightning lit up the room, casting shadows on furniture and on Loki himself. Thunder would strike any moment and honestly, you didnât care how desperate you sounded when you turned and grabbed his wrist before he could exit the room and said, âStay. Please.âÂ
Crack.Â
You closed your eyes and tightened your grip for the duration of the noise, removing your hand completely from the God once it was quiet again. âIâm sorry, I ââÂ
âYou apologize more often than the average Midgardian,â Loki observed. You knew that to be true. It was one of your bad habits. You would always apologize for things that werenât even your fault. Loki huffed out a laugh and made his way back to the seat he previously vacated.Â
âSor- ah, itâs just a thing I do,â you shrugged, shifting back down to the couch and pulling the blanket up to your chin once again.Â
Raindrops you were sure were the size of golf balls pelted against the window, and you fought not to flinch. Â
Itâs just water.Â
âAre you sure youâre alright? It seems like something is bothering you.â Loki tilted his head. Not to embarrass yourself further, you nodded and grinned.Â
âIâm alright. Just canât sleep.âÂ
âWhy ever not?âÂ
Lokiâs questions toed the line between just being curious and attempting to pull information out of you. Not that you would particularly mind, but you barely know him. You havenât even trusted your actual friends with the fact that youâre scared of thunderstorms, let alone the God of Mischief. Â
Flash.Â
Your eyes quickly looked toward the window and then back to Loki. âItâs, uh, hard to explain.âÂ
Boom.Â
Your fingers tightened around the blanket, squeezing as tight as you possibly can without drawing attention to yourself.Â
âTry me,â Loki said, turning his body more towards you. âIâm a great listener of other peopleâs issues.âÂ
You laughed quietly, âYou learn that from experience?â You found Loki to be a breath of fresh air, honestly. His demeanor made it hard to approach him, so you refrained from talking to him unless it was about something work related. But here he was, sitting with you â next to you, even though there were multiple other chairs in the room â and asking you to confide in him.Â
It was uncharacteristic for him, but you found that you didnât mind.Â
âMy dear brother always has something to talk to me about, and while I never really care about any of his issues, I donât mind listening to yours,â Loki said honestly. âYou seem much more fascinating.âÂ
âThere is no possible way I am more interesting than your brother. Heâs, like, thousands of years old and has an infinite amount of stories to tell,â you chuckled. Â
âAnd Iâve heard them all many-a-time. Yours, I have not heard, so...â Loki nodded his head and gestured toward you as if to say, âget on with it.â Your heart wanted to tell him. Your heart essentially was begging you to tell him about your fear of storms just so that the weight of keeping it a secret could be set free. But your head, stronger than your heart, wouldnât let you.Â
Your brain was convinced that telling anyone, other than those who already knew, would set you up for a world full of hurt and disappointment. You couldnât help but think of the inevitable look on Lokiâs face when you finally admit it. How embarrassing it must be to fear something so... meek. So, as the thunder crackled outside, you pulled your comfort blanket up even higher and sighed.Â
âI just have trouble sleeping sometimes. Thatâs all.âÂ
Loki clearly didnât like that answer because he shifted his body more towards you and leveled you with an icy stare. Not one of meanness or dislike, but more of knowing you were hiding something from him. âDarling, along with being the God of Mischief, I am also the God of Lies. Do you truly believe that I donât know youâre keeping information from me?âÂ
The nickname, mixed with his calling out of you, set your cheeks on fire. You cursed your blanket for not being large enough to cover your entire body, including your head. Why did he care? The thought of any answer to that question made your entire body tingle, and you begged the couch to swallow you whole.Â
Loki, ever perceptive, took notice immediately. âNow, how am I to even see you with this ridiculous blanket covering half of your face?â He asked incredulously, reaching his hand out to grab it. âIâm trying to get to know you.âÂ
As his hand made contact with the blanket, it also made contact with your right foot. His thumb grazed your sole as he tried to take the blanket off of you. Involuntarily, you squeaked and pulled your foot into yourself so quickly that if you were to blink, you could have missed it all together.Â
You shot your arm out and grasped your blanket, hugging it to yourself like it was your only vice and instinctively covering all of your vulnerable areas. You could not believe the turn of events here. First, the man who lived a few doors down from you, but you still somehow never see wandered into the same room and sat with you. Then, that same man offered to sit there and listen to your anxious feelings. Now, youâre sitting across from that man, whoâs known as the God of Mischief, and heâs just found out that youâre ticklish.Â
What happened in seconds truly felt like hours. Lokiâs eyes locked with yours and the smallest smirk appeared on his features. You may not know him well, but you know what that smirk means. Â
Before you could even make to stand, Loki reached across the sofa and wrapped his hand around your ankle, pulling it toward him and in return, sliding your body down the couch. Your gasp was silenced by the crack of thunder; the kind of thunder youâd usually be afraid of. You couldnât think of that, now. Now, you were nervously giggling and trying to figure out how in the hell you got yourself into this situation.Â
âThis ought to be an incentive for you to tell me, hm?â Loki pondered as he held onto your ankle with an iron grip, while making sure not to hurt you. He rubbed his thumb against the sole of your foot again and you curled your toes, attempting to wrench your foot from his grip. Â
âLoki! Wahait!â You whisper-yelled, knowing the entire team was fast asleep just a few meters down the hallway. If Loki started tickling you, it would take everything in you not to laugh and wake everyone in the corridor. âIâm going to wake everyone up!âÂ
âNo matter,â he quickly replied, flourishing his hand. You watched in horror, or maybe awe, as the walls of the common room turned a shade of green with a yellow tint to it. âIt is completely soundproof. Youâre welcome.âÂ
With that, he scratched two fingers right below the ball of your socked foot, sending you straight into hysterics. It has been a very long time since anyone has tickled you. You suspected it was when you were with your ex-lover, which was over a decade ago. Definitely not since you joined SHIELD and the Avengers.Â
But you knew every single spot that made you want to crawl out of your skin. So did Loki, apparently because he was taking you apart with just a few fingers.Â
âNow, we can do this your way or my way. Tell me what I want to know.âÂ
You did everything you could to pull your foot from Lokiâs grasp, but he held tight, tickling you within an inch of your life. âNohoho! Dahamn it!âÂ
âNo?â Loki repeated, knowing itâs not what you meant to say. He grabbed ahold of your other leg, pulling it out and turning around to place both of your feet into the crook of his elbow. âMy way, it is.âÂ
You felt 5 fingers begin scratching all over your feet and you screamed, âOKAHAY! LOKI, WAIT!âÂ
The God halted promptly and turned his head to look back at you with that same adorning smirk on his face. You felt your heartbeat increase as you let out residual laughs and you couldnât tell if it was from the attack or if it was just because you never noticed how blue Lokiâs eyes are. âIâm waiting.âÂ
âYou - I just...â You stuttered out, clearly flustered that you were even in this predicament to begin with. How did it go from an awkward encounter to this? The weirdest part of it all was that you didnât feel uncomfortable. Even though your interactions with Loki before today were slim, it still felt as though he was someone you could tell every secret to and heâd keep it until his dying breath. âThis is so unfair, you know!âÂ
Loki nodded and released your feet from his grasp and damn it; you were a little disappointed. You snatched your legs away from him, though, to keep up with the illusion. âAnd why is that? I merely provided you with an incentive and you chose not to take it.âÂ
âWell, I donât just tell my secrets to everyone!âÂ
âAh, so there is a secret you insist on keeping from me. Some people would find that quite rude, you know.â Loki said, then basically pounced on you, pinning you to the couch and kneading his fingers into your sides right above your hips. You let out a giggly scream and shot your hands down to his wrists out of instinct. âI was willing to listen to you if you needed someone to talk to, but I suppose you just need a simple distraction.âÂ
Lokiâs fingers squeezed fast as he moved from your sides up to your ribs, making your back completely arch off the couch. âI-hi cahanât, pleHEASE!â Â
Your laughter pitched up as he dug into the bones, and your arms slammed down on top of his hands, keeping them pinned. âOh, dear, this is quite the weak spot you have,â Loki pondered. He wiggled his hands up a bit higher and scratched at your upper ribs where they met your underarm. At that point, you had lost it. Â
âOKAHAHAY! IâLL TEHELL YOU!â Your laughter went completely silent and you stopped thrashing. Your body went limp and would only twitch if Loki hit a particularly sensitive area. He noticed you were tiring, so he did remove his hands from your torso, watching you with a smile as you came down from your giggle fit.Â
âGods, Loki...â You said with a wheeze. âDo you normally go around tickling people you barely know when you donât get what you want?âÂ
He placed a gentle hand on your knee, rubbing his thumb across your bare skin. Goosebumps rose in his wake and you were thankful you put on shorts to sleep in. His eyes met yours as he said, âOnly those who Iâve come to care about.âÂ
You blinked in shock. Loki cared about you? For the year youâd co-habited in the tower, it was clear that you two rarely ever interacted. There were times on a mission or two and during a training session. Maybe even a simple sentence as you passed each other in the hallway. So, when did he take the time to show that he cared. Why did he even care at all?Â
Your silence prompted him to speak again. âThere are few people in this realm that... intrigue me. Since leaving my home and having to stay here, Iâve been distant, angry.â Lokiâs eyes never left yours. He made sure he was speaking to you, not around you. He wanted you to understand. âIt can be difficult to exist or want to exist when those around you are watching your every move and youâre under scrutiny because of the hardships of your past.âÂ
His admittance encouraged you to reach for the hand that was rubbing your knee, wrapping your fingers around his. âNot me.âÂ
The laugh he made was more of a huff through his nose. Uncharacteristically, without hesitation, he laced his fingers through yours and in an instant, you felt warmer. Not just your hand, but your entire body.Â
âNot you, no,â Loki repeated. âYou watch me for different reasons.âÂ
A soft blush rose to your cheeks, and you finally averted your eyes away from his. Even though communication between the two of you was essentially non-existent, it never stopped you from stealing glances and watching him curiously. You wanted to know more about him. He intrigued you, too. Â
Still, you berated yourself for not noticing that he was making those same glances over at you. An entire year passed by and you had no idea that he seemingly had feelings for you. It only made you wish you could go back in time and change the way your interactions with him had gone. If you had talked to him more or if you had smiled at him more, maybe things would be different.Â
âSorry,â you whispered. Â
Loki pulled his hands from yours and latched them onto that insanely sensitive muscle right above your knees, squeezing it as you fell back into boisterous laughter. âAgain, with the unnecessary apologizing, tsk.â Â
âWAHAIT! Iâm sohorry!â You said in between laughs, cursing when you realized you had said it again. In response, Loki pinched faster and moved his left hand to reach for your belly, vibrating his fingers there. âNoho, okay! I wonât sahay it anymohohore! ProHOMISE!âÂ
He halted tickling you, looking at you with a genuine grin as you caught your breath once more. âThis weakness of yours is extremely endearing.âÂ
You playfully glared at him, shifting back to your original position against the arm of the sofa. As the air around you became silent once again, the weight of the conversation you were having settled around you. If Loki could admit that he seemed to have feelings for you, something youâre sure heâs only done a handful of times in his thousand-year life, you could most certainly confide in him and tell him the secret you keep close to your chest.Â
âThe reason I canât sleep, or I guess the reason Iâm even out here at all, is because of the storm,â You mumbled, pulling that fleece blanked back over you as you remembered how terrified you were just 10 minutes before this. âThunderstorms scare me. They always have and I think they always will.âÂ
Loki had a joke about his brother right on the tip of his tongue, but he refrained from saying it and instead, nodded as his hand found your leg again through the light pink blanket. âI know.âÂ
âYou... what?â Raising an eyebrow, you showed confusion on your features. Youâd never told anyone about your phobia of storms, only your mom and your friend from back home. How could he have possibly known.Â
âAs I said, you intrigue me,â Loki continued. âI am also very perceptive. I caught on during our second mission together in Budapest during that awful thunderstorm where we had to lie in wait outside.âÂ
You remembered that mission clearly. It nearly caused you to suffer from a panic attack and remove yourself from the team indefinitely. You thought back to the rain mixing in with your silent tears and as you prayed for it to end, it did only seconds later. Â
âThat mission happened almost a year ago,â Your voice quivered through a soft whisper. âWere you the one that made it stop?âÂ
He shook his head. âI donât have that power, but my brother â he did it without question once I asked.â Â
Unashamedly, more tears spilled over to race down the apples of your cheeks. It was a silent cry, but one that racked through your body with full force. Loki did that for you. He knew about your fear and he calmed the storm for you. He watched you and he took notice of the one thing that made you feel insignificant and weak, and he unknowingly helped you through it that day.Â
âTell me, darling, look outside and tell me what you see.âÂ
You wiped your eyes and did as you were asked, turning your head to look at the window in the common room. Rain continued hitting the glass and then, you saw a bright flash of light.Â
âA storm,â You replied, a shiver racing down your spine.Â
âNow, what do you hear?â Loki asked, squeezing your leg fondly to keep from tickling you. You closed your eyes and listened. The rustle of the blanket against the couch as you shifted, Lokiâs deep breathing, your own heartbeat pounding in your ears. Â
Silence.Â
Opening your glossy eyes, they met Lokiâs, the God of Lies, and youâd be damned if they werenât the most beautiful and honest eyes youâd ever looked into. It dawned on you, then.Â
He knew about your fear. He heard you slink out of your room and past his own to get to the common room. He came to check on you and when he saw you break from the anxiety of it all, he turned down the noise.Â
He may not be the God of Thunder, and he may not be able to make it stop, but Loki could do other wonderful things to help you battle this phobia.Â
âCompletely soundproof,â Loki said, repeating his sentence from earlier with a different meaning behind it. âYouâre welcome.âÂ
The tiniest smile graced your features as you reached back out to touch his cold, yet silky soft skin. âPeople are so wrong about you.âÂ
Loki picked up your hand and brought it to his lips, placing a kiss on the back of it. Tingles spread throughout your body, and a pleasurable feeling settled in your bones. âNo, they are right in thinking what they do. I just donât let anyone see this side of me.âÂ
âYet here you are.âÂ
âHere I am,â He pondered. He, too, took a second to look out of the window at the rain sliding down the glass. It was a particularly bad storm for New York and how he wished he could possess his brotherâs powers even just for a moment. âYou need not be afraid to come to me about this, you know. Even if I hadnât noticed or taken a liking to you, I would have done it for you. No one should have to live in fear every time it rains.âÂ
âTaken a liking to me, huh?â You teased him. He responded with a fluttering of fingers at the foot closest to his free hand. Squeaking, you moved your foot in the same way you had when he first tickled you.Â
âItâs not wise to antagonize the God of Mischief,â Loki smirked. With a playful roll of your eyes, you sat up to position your body in a way that was a bit closer to him.Â
âIâm sure Iâll have plenty of chances to figure out exactly what you mean by that.â You leaned your head against his shoulder, still cuddled up in your blanket. âThank you, Loki.âÂ
He threw his arm around your shoulders, tugging you closer. You could hear his heartbeat through his soft shirt and as the silence lingered on, you were lulled to sleep.Â
I know you said you wonât be totally active again, but just wanted to say I loved your criminal minds fics and the marvel ones too! hope one day you go back to writing for them! â¤ď¸

synopsis: You don't think you're ticklish. Loki offers to prove you wrong.
word count: ~3500
warnings: lots of swearing, sexual tension, suggestive jokes and innuendo, possessive!Loki, minor violence (training sparring)
minors dni: this work does not contain smut, but does contain a sexually-charged relationship between the reader and an adult-aged character. I am not comfortable with engagement from anyone under the age of 18. Thank you for your understanding and respect.
note: This fic is for all the people who aren't affected by rough and tumble tickling. Who know that gentle can still be ruthless. I see you.

And you were sharper. You moved with practiced ease, letting him tire himself out as he swung and lunged across the sunken sparring pit, meeting his strikes with sidesteps, well-placed counters, and a smirk you hoped was infuriating.
He went for your ribs.
You caught his wrist. Twisted. Used that leverage to hook your legs around him, then used his thrown balance to send him down.
His back hit the mat with a solid thud.
For a moment, he just blinked up at you, winded and momentarily stunned.
You grinned, settling your weight on top of him, knee digging into his ribs just hard enough to remind him who the boss was. "Tell me," you mused, "who did you say was getting their ass handed to them today?"
Sam huffed, mouth pursing into something half-annoyed, half-amused. "Yeah, screw you."
You arched a brow. "Not much of an apology."
His jaw tensed, eyes narrowing. A secondâs hesitation. You pounced.
Your fingers slipped under his ribs, pressing just enough-
"Shit!"
Your smirk quickly became a grin.
A choked laugh ripped out of him before he could stop it. He bucked violently, twisting beneath you as laughter tore through him like heâd been struck by lightning.
Your hand followed wherever he turned. "Something wrong, Wilson?"
"You demon-" He twisted again, finally using sheer force to throw you off. You hit the mat with a sharp roll over your shoulder, coming up to your feet in a fluid motion, laughing as he swore under his breath, breathless.
You two weren't the only ones laughing.
Thor chuckled, amused. Bucky smirked, arms crossed. Steve shook his head, exasperated. And Loki...
Loki was watching you like a cat watching a caged bird.
He tilted his head, eyes sharp, lips lifting in a slow, knowing smirk. "That," he said, "seems like an extraordinarily reckless tactic to introduce."
You dusted your hands off. "How so?"
Lokiâs smirk widened. He took the bait. "Because every person in this room is stronger than you. And now youâve gone and planted a very particular idea in their minds."
His gaze dragged over you, slow and deliberate. You crossed your arms, lifting that same brow in challenge. Giving him space to continue monologuing.
"I mean, really," he mused in a silken voice, "do you truly want to tempt fate by giving them the notion to simply hold you down and take their revenge?"
The air shifted, and you held back your confident smirk, just to play with him a bit. "They're welcome to try."
Bucky stepped forward, rolling his shoulders. "It's futile." He shot you a begrudging look. "We learned a long time ago - sheâs not ticklish."
Sam snorted. "Yeah, and itâs annoying as hell. Not many ways to get her back for all that sass."
You shot him a sly smile.
Loki made a sound in his throat - amused, unimpressed. "Youâre wrong."
Your eyes slid back to him, fixing him with a look. "Wrong? I'm not ticklish, Loki."
Lokiâs lips curled into a smirk. âYes, you are.â
Tense silence fell upon the room as the others turned to Loki, confused, silently hoping.
The moment stretched, electric.
Smirking eye contact, the crackle of something just shy of violent, just shy of something else.
You squinted. "I'm not lying. I've never been ticklish. Ask anyone in here."
âHmm, I'm sure they have tried with their clumsy mortal hands,â he murmured, voice low, rich, laced with wicked amusement. âI, however..." His smirk grew downright devious. "I could take you apart without breaking a sweat.â
Your stomach did something sharp and treacherous. The heat in your face spread down your neck before you could help it.
Sam snorted. âOh my god.â
Bucky shook his head, muttering something under his breath. Steve exhaled through his nose, clearly regretting his life choices.
You, however, refused to flinch.
âYeah, right.â
Loki chuckled, slow and dark.
âIâll gladly prove it,â he insisted, voice a lazy taunt, âas soon as youâre not afraid to submit to it."
The words pushed like a slow blade between your ribs. The challenge, goading you to agree to being pinned and tested, for him to catalogue your responses. Itâs not like he was going to succeed in tickling you, but submit?
No way in hell.
Your mouth parted in a scoff, heat flushing your neck, your cheeks, something sharp already forming on your tongue-
âOkay, this,â Sam interrupted, pointing one hand at each of you, âis the one of most sexual things Iâve ever seen in my life, and I once walked in on Thor oiling himself up for battle.â
You lunged.
Sam yelped, dodging back, but before you could reach him, a familiar arm hooked around your waist, effortlessly hauling you back onto the mat.
Bucky didnât even flinch. âEasy, killer."
Loki chuckled, low and pleased, as you pushed Bucky's arm away.
âI do so enjoy this part,â the god mused.
You exhaled sharply, still flushed, still coiled tight with something restless and unsatisfied. You took the bait. âWhat part?â
His gaze flicked to yours, amused, knowing. âThe part where you pretend to be annoyed.â
The others snorted.
Your mouth opened, but before you could fire back, Loki winked, turned, and made to leave.
Something in you rebelled.
âHey!" You called after him. "Come put your money where your mouth is, Your Highness."
Loki stopped.
He exhaled a low, dark chuckle, then, slowly, began rolling up the sleeves of his tunic, baring forearms lined with lean, deceptive strength.
âI didn't think,â he murmured, âyou'd want an audience for whatâs about to transpire.â
Sam made a strangled noise. âI hate this. I hate this weird foreplay.â
Thorâs booming laugh filled the room.
"Of course I want an audience," you hummed, ignoring the riffraff. "I want them all to witness you making a fool of yourself." You stepped back onto the mat, uncrossing your arms, opening your stance. "But Iâm not submitting. If you want me at your mercy, youâll have to earn it.â
Loki turned back, and - lazily, deliberately, with a smirk that was pure sin - prowled toward you. âVery well,â he purred with a tilt of his head. âLetâs play.â
But the moment his feet hit the mat, you got the sinking feeling that you'd just walked into a trap.
Youâd never sparred with Loki before. Hell, youâd never even seen him fight outside of an actual battlefield, where his chaos and skill blurred the line between strategy and sheer fucking audacity.
But now, circling each other under the dim gym lights, with him as your adversary, you saw raw, precise power coiled beneath his deliberate movements, waiting to unravel.
His stance was fluid, deceptively relaxed. Beautiful, cocky bastard. Every shift of his weight, every flicker of his gaze, calculated. You could tell he was watching you, reading you, in a way that made heat lick at the base of your spine. And deep in your belly.
So you lunged first.
In the blink of an eye, he dodged, slipping around your advance like a fast-flowing stream through your fingers, barely exerting any effort. Your body twisted, adjusting on instinct, throwing your weight into a feint before coming back around, aiming for his side.
But again, he was faster.
Loki flowed around your strike like water, his arm shooting out with lightning precision. You barely registered the movement before his palm landed solidly against your ribs - not with brute force, but a firm, pointed push, sending you stumbling off balance.
You caught yourself, breath coming sharp through your nose. He stood there, utterly at ease, watching you with a glint of amusement.
Smug, infuriatingly hot, cocky bastard.
You exhaled. Steady.
Regrouping, you moved again, but this time, you were smarter - testing- feeling out the way he reacted. The next time he dodged, you anticipated it, twisting mid-motion and using his own momentum against him, catching his arm and yanking.
It almost worked.
The instant you felt his weight shift, you knew - heâd let you do that.
You barely had time to react before he countered, twisting with impossible grace, his body moving like an under-sea shadow. You felt it before you saw it.
His hands on you.
Turning.
Your feet ripped out from under you.
The mat met your chest with a harsh thud, your breath shooting out of your lungs in a rush.
Your wrists flexed, instinctively pushing to lift yourself up - except one of them wasnât moving. Something heavy and warm pressed you down.
Your pulse jumped.
Loki was above you, his thighs caging your hips, one hand securing your wrist above your head. Your left side was left exposed, vulnerable. You snuck a glance at the rest of the team - on your... right - he chose to test the side they couldn't see. Why?
There were more important matters to tend to.
You struggled, but his grip was like iron, pressing your wrist into the mat, keeping your body still beneath his. The sheer weight of him was suffocating, and intoxicating, his lean muscle like warm steel.
The sound of your panting filled the space between you as you used your free hand to push against his knee, against the mat, to try and pry his hand off your wrist.
Nothing budged. Nothing. Especially not you.
So, finally, you gave up the fight, relaxing underneath him, letting your forehead fall to the mat as the others chuckled on the sidelines.
A low, satisfied, hum rumbled from his chest.
You clenched your jaw, ignoring the way the heat from his body seemed to sink into yours. âYeah, whatever. You're a thousand-year-old god, of course you're gonna win."
Loki chuckled. And that sound - deep, smug, thoroughly entertained - was infuriating.
You scoffed, and gave a snarky chuckle, lazing your head to the side, not the slightest bit concerned. "Well, go on. Do what you need to do. All of these guys have tried, failed, and reaped the embarrassment of prodding my stomach while I stare them down. Your turn."
"My turn," he repeated in a low, heat, murmur that made your neck prickle. "Theyâve all tried, have they?"
His eyes flicked toward the others - Bucky, Sam, Steve, Thor - still watching with rapt attention.
"I'm guessing they wrestled you, pinned you," Loki mused, "and I imagine they grabbed at your waist, or jammed their fingers clumsily under your arms, yes?"
Your stomach clenched at the cool, casual confidence in his voice.
His head dipped lower, lips brushing just past your ear.
"But no one's ever been gentle with you, have they?"
The implication landed hot in your stomach. With that tone, he definitely wasn't just talking about tickling.
"I donât need gentle," you gritted out, feeling the heat creep up your neck.
Loki hummed again. And then -
A single touch.
Soft. Featherlight. Unfamiliar.
A slow, wandering drag of fingertips under the hem of your shirt, gliding over your side with aching delicacy.
An involuntary shudder rippled through you, sparkling sensation travelling up your neck, down your hip.
Your breath hitched.
Lokiâs low chuckle vibrated against your back.
âOh, my. Was that a reaction?"
You tested your wrist again, his grip didnât budge. Iron.
âI-â You wet your lips, breathing out a nervous chuckle. Steady... âIf this is tickling, why do people react to it so violently? Sam practically-â
The words died in your throat as his fingers slipped higher.
A slow, agonisingly light scratching at your ribcage.
Your body shifted before you even realised. Some strange, new sensation bloomed alive beneath your skin - an almost electric tingle, sharp and shivery, not... uncomfortable but not something you could control.
You winced, feeling your own muscles betray you, your arm instinctively trying to pull down. Your brow furrowed.
Silence from the others.
Your pulse pounded as you turned your head and met their confused stares and raised brows.
Lokiâs voice dipped lower. âTell me,â he whispered, dark and taunting, âwhat do you feel?â
You swallowed. Your breath was unsteady. âI donât know, I-â
You barely got the words out before his fingers slipped higher, that damnably light touch moving quicker, scraping against your skin and nerves-
A sensation erupted.
Your body jerked.
A strangled noise caught in your throat - somewhere between a gasp and a sound youâd never made before - bubbling up.
No.
No fucking way.
Your fingers dug into the mat. Heat roared through your veins, panic flickering, because something strange was happening. Your body was reacting. Your breath hitching, catching, some kind of force simmering deep in your lungs-
âWhat the hell are you doing to me?â you demanded, voice breathless, confused, desperate.
Loki only laughed, dark and rich, and said, âProving a point.â
And then he picked up the speed.
A choked, gasping giggle burst out of you before you could stop it.
Your eyes widened.
The others on the sidelines looked gobsmacked.
The sensation grew, intensified, as Lokiâs fingers didnât stop.
You twisted violently, struggling under him, but his weight was unforgiving, his grip relentless.
Your lips parted, a stream of breathless giggles slipping free.
Oh, fuck.
Your body shuddered as his fingers skimmed higher, up to the skin stretched over the centre of your ribcage-
Your head hit the mat as laughter was yanked out of you. Your legs kicked, trying to gain traction, but Loki only chuckled at your useless attempts.
âWait- fucking- you-"
âWell,â Loki purred, so fucking pleased with himself, âNot ticklish, was it?â
The laughter ripped through your throat, unrelenting, spilling out in gasping waves as Lokiâs damnable fingers continued their excruciatingly light torment. The others on the sidelines cheered in pure delight as you laughed and laughed and twisted and squirmed.
But there was no escape.
No amount of tensing, no desperate attempts to throw him off, could do anything against his sheer strength and control. His weight pressed you into the mat, keeping you exactly where he wanted, his hand moving with deadly precision - every stroke of his fingertips dragging something shivery and unbearable from your skin.
Bucky's surprised scoff cut across your struggling. "Well I'll be."
"All this time, huh?" Steve huffed a laugh through his nose.
"Oh, you are definitely getting it from me," Sam's chortling threat made you turn your head away, back to where only Loki could see your profile.
Gods, Loki.
This wasnât the clumsy, forceful jabbing of a sparring partner trying to elicit a reaction.
This... this was deliberate. Skilled. Loki had found something new in you, and he was taking his time exploring it.
And the worst part?
The heat.
The deep, simmering pull in your stomach had nothing to do with his magic and everything to do with the way his body pinned yours, the warmth of his breath, the slow, dangerous way he was learning you.
You were done for.
âNow,â Loki called to the others, voice smooth and pleased and maddeningly composed over your breathless gasps, âwhat exactly should I be dishing out punishment for? As long as you all have tales of her misdeedsâŚâ
His fingers fluttered along your ribs, light and delicate, dragging over the hyper-sensitive skin. Your body seized with a squeal, then a sharp, gasping laugh.
ââŚIâll keep going.â
The traitorous bastards on the sidelines did not hesitate.
âHow much time you got?â Sam called, laughing.
"She replaced the protein powder with flour," Bucky offered. "Had us all drinking sludge in our shakes for days until we realised."
Loki hummed in amusement. "Clever." His fingers never stopped - the feathery, unbearable strokes at your lower ribs making your body tremble under him.
"Last week she convinced Thor that the Alexa was not only a real person, but 'Midgard's Only Goddess.'" Sam snorted. "Had Thor trying to win her favour for hours."
Loki chuckled, shaking his head as though deeply ashamed of you. His fingers slid higher up your ribs, the change in focus so sudden it made your breath hitch violently - your body arching before you could stop it.
"Oh, thatâs good," Sam laughed. "Keep her goin', we got more."
"She told the new recruits that I get my hair done at a salon called âThunder Struck,â" Thor added, betrayal in his voice. "The rumours-"
"-are completely true," you gasped, still somehow defiant through the breathless laughter spilling out of you.
Loki sighed in faux fatigue. "A habitual liar, too. Unfortunate." His fingers shifted again, this time creeping into the soft space under your arm-
Your laughter folded into silence.
A sharp, breathless inhale was all you could manage, body seizing as your nerves exploded with sensation. Your free hand slammed into the mat, trying to brace yourself.
Loki noticed.
âOh,â he purred, sounding far too satisfied. His fingers didnât move, just rested there, as if savouring the way you tensed beneath him. âI see.â
Your eyes widened. Somehow, you knew what was coming.
âI believe,â he murmured darkly, âIâve found the perfect place for my discipline.â
His fingers twitched.
A sharp, shuddering noise burst out of you.
Then he started moving.
Slow. Dragging.
Your body jolted before you could stop it, a sharp, helpless squirm beneath him. Your breath hitched violently in your throat, trying to hold in the laughter- you couldnât let him win-
His fingers curled against your skin in a perfectly devastating way, grazing soft circles in the deepest, most vulnerable part of that untouched nerve space, and the laughter broke out of you in an uncontrollable rush.
Loki sighed, as if he were so terribly disappointed.
âWhat was it you called me last week?â he mused, tracing, scratching, slow, taunting circles over every tormenting inch. âAh, yes - âhorny Shakespeare?ââ
You shrieked. Your trapped hand trembling into a fist, tears of mirth threatening hot behind your eyes.
The others roared with laughter.
âOr was it-â He shifted, pressing in closer, lips brushing against your burning ear, voice dripping with amusement, â-âovergrown magician with daddy issuesâ?â
You shrieked again, laughter breaking apart into gasping, desperate protests.
âOh, I rather like this one-â His fingers swirled, still unbearably light, sweeping quickly over the taut skin. âYou said I âprobably cry after sex.ââ
âI TAKE IT BACK-â
Loki laughed, dark and dangerous, sitting back up as his fingers scraped gently, just enough to send fire through your nerves, to make your laughter break, to send your legs kicking uselessly against the mat.
"Ah, and my favourite," Loki continued, relentless, "-you looked me dead in the eyes, in front of the entire team, and asked me if my horns were, in fact, just overcompensation for something far more-"
He was cut off when his fingers stroked, just so, against the place just below your arm where your ribcage ended, and laughter tore through you, something wrecked in your voice, your body shaking against his.
"Oh, you didn't like that, did you?" he soothed in mock sympathy before his voice gave way to a dark, sensuous chuckle.
"Loki- PLEASE!"
You had never begged before.
But you'd never been ticklish before.
And Loki - Loki fucking knew.
His chuckle returned as his hand slowed to a stop, fingers still perched threateningly as your ragged breath expelled beneath him.
"Did you hear that, gentlemen?" Your chest heaved, body shaking from the sheer force of it all, something deeply unsettled in your bones as his palm smoothed down your side, lingering before his fingers tightened at your hip, his grip possessive. "I do believe our dear girl has finally learned some manners."
Your entire body burned.
Then, Loki pushed off, moving effortlessly to his feet as if the last five minutes hadnât utterly destroyed you.
True to his word, he hadn't broken a sweat.
You barely managed to push yourself onto your knees, your body unsteady, your breathing still laboured.
"Wait, hold up," Sam interrupted, holding a hand towards you. "Loki, you gotta show us how to do that."
Loki stiffened. It was barely noticeable. A flicker. A shift in the air.
And then - smooth as ever, with an icy calm that sent a clear warning, "I used magic," he said, holding up a hand with fingertips glowing green. "You are not capable, and you should not try."
You looked up, saw the chilled death in his stare that bored into Sam.
Liar.
That's why he chose to test the side no one else can see; he didn't want anyone else knowing how to undo you.
And everyone knew it. The implication was clear:
Back off.
Sam held up his hands immediately. "Alright, damn. Not trying to start an intergalactic incident."
The tension in the room eased as you caught your breath, but the tension inside you only burned hotter.
Loki turned and met your gaze with something solemn in his expression, something dark and wanting... protective.
i donât really go here anymore but i swear to god this is the hottest thing iâve ever read. none of my silly little romance books could ever compare.
Hi lovely! Hereâs my ask: Bucky and reader have been pinning for each other nonchalantly for a while but reader says something that causes Bucky to throw them over his shoulder and threatens to tickle the shit out of them (and then does it after seeing how flustered they are). Feelings get confessed, weaknesses are exposed, itâs a whole plate of fluff. đĽ°đ
hell. why not? This prompt is so fun - thanks, anon! hope you enjoy x
Predictable
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader (no pronouns used)
Word count: ~1500
Content / warnings: swearing, kissing, tickle fic
minors dni: this work does not contain smut, but does contain a romantic and intimate storyline between the reader and an adult-aged character. I am not comfortable with engagement from anyone under the age of 18. Thank you for your understanding and respect.
The hallway was quiet except for the sharp click of your boots and the heavy, measured steps of Bucky Barnes beside you. The mission briefing had ended, the others scattering to their own quarters, leaving you and him walking under the hum of fluorescent lights.
âYouâre quieter than usual tonight,â you said, casting a sidelong glance at him. âBored? Lost in thought? Donât tell me youâre planning another dramatic brooding session. Maybe in front of a window, rain streaking down the glass?â
Bucky looked at you, one brow quirked, his lips curling faintly at the corner. âYou done?â
âI gotta say, youâre really sticking to the dark soldier aesthetic,â you quipped, hands shoved in your pockets. âItâs impressive. Very consistent.â
His lips twitched in the ghost of a smirk. âConsistent, huh? That your way of saying Iâm boring?â
âOh, I wouldnât say boring.â You turned to him, letting your grin curl just sharp enough to bait him. âMore⌠predictable.â
He stopped walking, his head tilting just slightly, and the gleam in his eye made something in your chest tighten.
âPredictable?â he repeated, his tone soft, like he was rolling the word around to test it.
You nodded, biting the inside of your cheek to suppress the grin threatening to spread. âItâs not a bad thing, Bucky. Youâre⌠reliable. Steady. I can set my watch by your moods - glare, brood, occasional grunt of disapproval. Itâs comforting, really.â
The words hung in the air for a beat too long, and you were suddenly hyperaware of the silence and tension stretching between you.
âWhat?â you asked, try to hold back a smirk. âDid I hit a nerve?â
His gaze sharpened on yours, glinting with something dark and teasing that made the hair on the back of your neck rise. âYou really think Iâm predictable?â
The air between you crackled with tension, each word a spark igniting the unspoken feelings lurking beneath the surface. You felt a flush creeping up your neck, but you held your ground, refusing to let him see how much his attention affected you.
âIâm just saying-â
Before you could finish, he moved. Quick as a snap, his hand grabbed your wrist and yanked you toward him. You stumbled, nearly cursing, before he bent low, braced his shoulder into your middle, and straightened, hoisting you up and over.
âBucky!â Your voice came out an octave higher than usual, your palms pressing against his broad back as you flailed. âPut me down!â you hissed, your fists pounding helplessly at his shoulders as the world spun upside down.
He ignored you, his laughter low and dangerous as it rumbled through his chest. âStill think Iâm predictable?â
âYes! Youâre-â Your voice caught, your brain short-circuiting when his palm splayed against the back of your thigh to keep you steady. The touch was firm, effortless, and it did unforgivable things to your ability to form coherent words. âY-youâre shooting the messenger. This is completely unnecessary!â
âUnnecessary?â he echoed, his tone laced with a sinister amusement. âYou sure about that? Because I think this is overdue.â
Your stomach flipped at the shift in his voice - low and teasing, laced with a playful edge youâd never heard before.
He turned a corner abruptly and nudged open a door with his boot, stepping into a small, dimly lit storage room.
âWait, what- what are you doing?â you demanded, kicking your legs uselessly. âBucky, I swear- â
âIâd save your breath if I were you,â he said darkly, the door clicking shut behind him.
Your mind lurched. âWhat the fuck is that supposed to mean?â
A slow, devilish chuckle rolled through him. âIt means, smartass, that Iâm about to tickle the shit outta you.â
Your brain flatlined.
You froze. Completely froze. For the first time, your mouth opened - but nothing came out. Heat flared across your entire body, and Buckyâs amused hum was like a spark to gasoline.
âOh,â he hummed, patting your thigh like some cruel punctuation to your embarrassment, âthat got your attention.â
âShut up!â you finally spluttered, mortified, because now he knew. Now he knew, and youâd just handed him a weapon far more dangerous than any gun or blade.
His laughter was low, dark, and - gods help you - so unfairly attractive that it only made things worse. âWhat, did I hit a nerve?â
Your heart slammed against your ribs. Your squirming renewed tenfold, panic spiking through you as you tried to push yourself up off his shoulder. âDonât you dare, Bucky Barnes! I swear-â
He unceremoniously let you drop back onto your feet, your balance faltering as you collided with his chest, still breathless. You shoved at him instinctively, trying to regain your footing, but he was already advancing, backing you toward the nearest wall.
Your face was on fire now, your usual sharp wit nowhere to be found. Youâd never seen him like this - playful, teasing, free - and it was completely throwing you off.
You stammered, breath catching as your back hit the wall. âB-Bucky- no! Donât-â
âYou're really worked up about this,â he interrupted, his voice low and gravelly, a smirk tugging at his lips. The shadows softened the hard lines of his face, but his eyes⌠his eyes burned with something else.
He leaned in slightly, caging you in with his hands braced against the wall beside your head. âYouâre nervous.â
âI am not,â you hissed, even as you felt your face go hotter.
The smirk grew. âI think youâre lying.â
âIâm not-â
"Predict this, sweetheart."
Before you could blink, his hands darted to your hips, fingers digging in with deliberate precision. Your reaction was immediate - a gasp, a choked laugh you couldnât swallow back in time.
âNo!â you shrieked, laughter already bubbling out of you as you squirmed violently. âI take it back, okay?! I take it back!â
âToo late,â Bucky replied, grinning like the devil himself as his hands squeezed your sides again. âNow Iâm invested.â
"B-Bucky! Cut it out!"
âCut it out?â he repeated, his tone mock-innocent as his fingers dugs across your ribs. âI thought you were tougher than this.â
âShut up!â you managed between gasping laughs, your cheeks burning with humiliation and something dangerously close to exhilaration.
âIs this what you wanted?â he taunted, his voice dark and edged with amusement. âWhen you called me predictable? Did you want me to prove you wrong?â
Your response was lost in another fit of helpless laughter as his hands found a particularly sensitive spot just under your ribs. You twisted against him, but his grip was unrelenting, his body solid against you.
You let out a strangled laugh, pressing back against the wall as your knees started to give. âYouâre- youâre cool! And- and spontaneous and - Bucky - fuck! Youâre hot and mysterious and-â
He paused for a second, his grin sharpening as he processed your accidental confession. âHot, huh?â he murmured, his voice low and entirely too smug.
Your face burned like the sun. âI didnât mean- fuck, just forget I said-â
âOh, no,â he said, his hands still firmly on your waist. âI think weâre gonna talk about that later.â
âBuck, I didn't-â
âNope,â he interrupted, his fingers digging into your sides again, drawing another breathless shriek from you. âWeâre not done yet.â
Your laughter filled the room, wild and unguarded, as you tried in vain to squirm away. He zeroed in on your lowest ribs, his fingers hitting angles that sent you reeling. You tried to hold on the desperate peal of laughter, but it echoed through the storage room as your knees weakened further.
âBucky!â you gasped, your voice breaking as you gripped at his jacket to try and keep yourself upright, another shriek bursting through your lips when his fingers pressed into another susceptible spot. "Please! I can't breathe- BUCKY!"
His grin softened, and for a moment, the teasing melted into something quieter, something genuine. He caught your chin gently with one hand, lifting your gaze to meet his.
âHot, huh?â he repeated, softer this time, his eyes searching yours.
The word hung in the air, a moment of suspended silence between frantic laughter and tension thick enough to choke on. You froze, still panting, your face burning with horror.
Bucky stilled too, his gaze locking onto yours. Then, slowly, his grin returned - this time sharper, hungrier.
His lips were on yours before you could think, a sudden, fiery kiss that stole the air from your lungs.
You melted immediately, fingers curling into the front of his shirt as he pressed you further into the wall, one hand sliding up to cradle the back of your neck as he tilted your head back, the other gripping your hip. The heat of it was overwhelming, his lips firm and insistent. It was messy, unpracticed, and searingly real.
When he pulled back, you were breathless, still panting, cheeks aflame. His thumb brushed your temple, sending a shiver up your spine, and the corner of his mouth curled into a smirk as his lips grazed yours.
âDid you see that coming, too?â
You couldnât help it - you grinned against his lips. âYeah. From a mile away.â
Before he had the chance to retaliate, you kissed him again.

The air in the gym was still and heavy, the only sound breaking the silence was the steady rhythm of your fists connecting with the punching bag. You were alone, intentionally so, using the late hour to work through a restless energy that had been gnawing at you for days.
Well, months, really.
There had been something about the Compound lately, something about him that made it hard to focus, hard to sleep.
The leather of the bag thudded under your punches, each strike sharp and measured as you practiced your form. But as effective as the session was at releasing some pent-up tension, you couldnât ignore the nagging realisation that it wasnât quite enough. And you didn't know what would be.
Then you heard him - felt him, really, before he spoke. Lokiâs presence always announced itself in a subtle way. A shift in the air, a sense of something electric.
The low, velvety voice followed, as if materialising from the shadows. âThis hardly seems like a fair fight.â
You froze for the briefest second, your fist still mid-air, before lowering your arm and turning to face him. There he stood, leaning against the doorway, arms crossed casually over his chest. He looked entirely too composed for someone who had just caught you off guard, but that was Lokiâs way. His dark hair framed his sharp features, and his eyes sparkled with that familiar mischief. âRather a waste of energy, fighting something that wonât hit back.â A pause, an assessment, a tilt of his head in challenge. "Wouldn't you agree?"
Your pulse quickens, though youâd never let it show. With Loki, youâd learned to keep your guard up. His constant presence, the lingering stares, the flirtatious banter - you still couldn't tell if it was all fun and games to him, or... if he actually...
âIâm practicing my form,â you replied, trying to keep your tone steady despite the warmth that was starting to spread up your neck.
He smirked, tilting his head as he regarded you with a dark glint in his eye. âIf itâs form youâre after, perhaps a real opponent would better suit your needs. Iâd be happy to assist.â The words hung in the air between you, their weight heavy with invitation.
You hesitated, your heart suddenly pounding for an entirely different reason. Sparring with Loki? Not smart. The man - the god - was unpredictable, dangerous. You werenât an idiot; in the field, youâd leave threats like Loki to the bigger guns like Steve, or Thor. But here, in the controlled environment of the gym, with no weapons and only the hum of underlying tension between you two, it felt different.
Risky in a way that had nothing to do with physical harm.
Still, you felt a thrill shoot through you at the thought. Something about his attention always made you feel alive, a little reckless.
You wiped the sweat from your brow and tilted your head. âNot sure this is a smart idea, Loki. I usually leave the big threats to the super soldiers and gods.â
His smirk deepened, eyes gleaming with dark amusement. âYouâll do just fine.â His tone was smooth, almost coaxing, as if youâd already agreed.
You rolled your eyes, turning toward the mats, feeling his presence at your back as he followed you. You were trying your best to seem unaffected, but his proximity set your skin alight.
Every step toward the sunken sparring area in the centre of the gym felt like a countdown. When you stepped down the couple of stairs onto the mats, you turned to face him, only to find him much closer than you expected. His height, the way he loomed just slightly, was intoxicating. He was so unfairly beautiful. And he knew it.
You gave him a look, a mix of challenge and uncertainty, trying to hide how affected you were. But Loki noticed everything. His eyes flicked briefly to your lips before settling back on your gaze.
âSo what now?â you asked, your voice coming out a bit more breathless than you intended.
âNow,â Loki began, circling you slowly, his movements graceful, predatory, âwe see what youâre truly made of.â
You squared your shoulders, keeping your stance neutral, trying to maintain your focus. But the energy between you felt charged, almost too much to ignore. Loki was testing you, as he always did - pushing buttons, seeing how far he could go before your unaffected facade slipped. You werenât about to give him the satisfaction of showing how much he got under your skin. But, deep down, you knew that you weren't fooling him.
After one revolution around your body, he stopped in front of you, that smirk still playing on his lips. You didnât wait for him to make the first move. You lunged forward, aiming a strike toward his midsection, but he dodged it easily, too fast, too graceful. He didnât retaliate. Not yet. He was baiting you, letting you come to him. Typical.
Your next punch was aimed higher, toward his chest, but he caught your wrist mid-air. His grip was firm, but not painful, his skin cool against yours. He raised an eyebrow, almost amused.
âYouâll have to do better than that,â he murmured.
You twisted out of his hold, stepping back to reassess. Your heart was racing, not just from the sparring, but from the feel of him, his hand, his eyes locked on yours like a predator toying with its prey. There was something dangerous in the way he moved, something inherently sensual in the way his body seemed to flow, effortless yet lethal.
You tried again, going low this time, aiming a sweeping kick toward his legs. He sidestepped, but not fast enough. You caught him just enough to throw him slightly off balance, and his smile widened. You could've sworn a gleam of admiration flickered in his eyes.
âNot bad,â he said, before moving on you.
Suddenly, he was in your pocket, faster than you anticipated, and before you could block, he had you pinned. One arm locked around your waist, pulling you flush against him, the other catching your wrist, holding it firmly above your head. He hooked one leg around yours and controlled the descent of your bodies. Your back hit the mats with a soft thud, him directly above you, and you gasped as the air was knocked from your lungs. Not fully from the impact, more from the overwhelming sensation of his body pressing against yours.
For a moment, everything stilled. You were trapped beneath him, and he was so close, his breath warm against your neck, his body hovering over yours, just a breath away from full contact. The weight of him, the way he held you so effortlessly, sent a rush of heat through you.
Lokiâs eyes bored into yours, dark and intense, and there was no mistaking the shift in the air. The playfulness was still there, but underneath it was something deeper, something charged with heat and anticipation.
âStill think this was a bad idea?â His voice was a low purr, his lips dangerously close.
Your breath hitched, and for a moment, you couldnât find the words. His hand was still wrapped around your wrist, his thumb brushing the inside of it in lazy circles, a deliberate tease. You swallowed hard, trying to ignore the way your pulse jumped beneath his touch, trying not to wonder if he could hear it. Feel it.
He lowered his brow, âYou clearly havenât been trained by anyone outside of Midgard.â
His words pricked at your pride, and you glared up at him, breathless, as you tried to wrench your wrist free. âOf course not,â you retorted, a bit sharper than youâd intended. âNot all of us have had the privilege of an intergalactic education.â
His expression softened for just a heartbeat, a glimmer of something that might've almost be concern, but it was gone as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by a look of pragmatism. âThat wonât do,â he said simply, releasing you, pulling you to your feet with an ease of strength that made your heart stutter.
âThere are⌠larger threats than youâve known. You need to understand how they fight.â His voice dropped to a low rumble. "Or you won't stand a chance."
You swallowed thickly, the implication heavy between you, and found yourself unable to look away, captivated by the intensity in his eyes, the subtle promise that lingered just beneath his calm disposition.
In his own strange way, he was offering to train you.
In that moment, it felt like the tension, the unspoken attraction that had been building between you over the months, was ready to snap. The rational part of you is screaming that this was dangerous, that whatever this was, it was a risk you shouldnât take; putting yourself in the situation to be in constant close quarters with someone who already set you on a steep edge could only end in a heart-wrenching longing.
But as you met Lokiâs gaze, defiance and something far more potent flared within you, and you couldn't deny the pull.
âShow me, then,â you whispered, your voice steady, even as your heart pounded furiously in your chest.
He smirked, a dark satisfaction flickering across his face as he stepped closer still. âVery well,â he murmured, his voice barely more than a breath. âBut donât say I didnât warn you.â
The gym was empty, as it usually was this time of night, save for the low hum of your breathing and the solid thud of your body against the mats, the result of another frustrating sparring session with Loki.
It had been weeks of this. A rhythm thatâd somehow become normal, sparring sessions where you were pushed to your limits and left feeling exhausted but invigorated.
Lokiâs method of training was relentless, unforgiving, and unlike anything youâve ever experienced. The techniques he taught you - sharp, brutal movements, counters that defy human logic - had already sharpened your skills in ways you couldnât have imagined.
He was maddening and insufferable, with his mocking commentary and easy confidence, but he had made you better.
You would flush to admit how much you looked forward to the few sessions each week. Because though you had trained with all kinds of opponents, none of them compared to the dark, infuriating figure currently pinning you to the ground.
He loomed above you, his body pressed just enough against yours to keep you in place, the thin sheen of sweat on your skin making the friction of his hold electric. You were breathless, chest rising and falling as you stared up at him, face inches from his as he flashed that knowing grin.
Unfortunately, this had become a very normal position to find yourself in. Loki never let you win, and never let you up without an admission of defeat, saying allowing such things would only breed complacence.
âReady to surrender, darling?â His voice was dark silk, the smugness woven through every syllable. His eyes traveled over your face, taking in your flushed cheeks, your parted lips as you caught your breath. âAgain? What are we, zero-and-thirty?â
The mix of arrogance and barely-contained amusement in his expression made your irritation bubble over.
"Go to hell."
"Charming," he replied, arching a brow. "By all means, keep on with your futile attempts to escape," he shrugged with indifference, further stoking your frustration. "I do so enjoy this part."
Your jaw ticked. You were tired, flustered, not any more used to his proximity even after weeks of this. You thought you'd be desensitised to his flirting, his touch... him, but, if anything, it was all pulling you closer to the edge of desperation.
And desperate times call for desperate measures.
At least, that's what you told yourself. In reality, you weren't thinking. You couldn't have been thinking, given that no one in your position would've considered such a foolish move.
In a final, desperate move, a slapdash attempt to get him off of you without having to surrender, your fingers darted to his sides, pressing into his ribs in a way that might, with any luck, give him a taste of his own teasing medicine.
But the instant your fingers touched him, and he merely flinched once, you knew you'd made a careless mistake, and a devastating one at that.
This was something you could never take back.
He stilled, a dark chuckle slipping from his lips. His gaze slowly shifted down to where your hands rested on his torso, and when he looked back up, the mischievous gleam in his eyes turned predatory.
âOh?" His voice dropping to a dangerously low, delicious murmur, âYouâve just made an exceptionally poor choice.â
Your stomach dropped, and a tsunami of regret hitting you instantly. âWait. Loki, I didnât-â
âYou want to play, hmm?â His smirk only widened as he leaned in, his grip tightening. âHow delightful. Do carry on.â
âPlease, I'm sorry,â you gasped, trying to push at his chest, already breathless. âI wasn't thinking- Loki, please!â You could feel your cheeks growing warm, laughter bubbling up as he held you firm. "I'm sorry!"
âShh,â he crooned, his smirk deepening. âNo need to waste your precious breath.â
"Oh no, please, not this," you laughed despite your wincing, pushing harder at his shoulders. It did nothing.
âBegging already?â His fingers found your sides, pinning them as his thumbs pressed firmly into the sensitive skin above your hips. âYou might regret that even more, darling.â
Before you could protest, his fingers began to move, an unrelenting, devastating rhythm that sent a jolt of sensation through your body. Your attempts to fight it crumbled instantly as laughter spilled from your lips, your hands still trying, and failing, to push his away.
âLoki! N-no-â you gasped between giggles, squirming beneath him as his fingers worked with merciless precision. He watched you with keen fascination, clearly enjoying the effects of his touch on you far too much. His thumbs traced slow, calculated circles against your ribs, each movement skilled and targeted, attuning his touch at a terrifying speed. Learning how to deliver a masterful torture, designed just for you.
âOh, I think yes,â he replied, his voice a teasing purr. âAnd to think, all it takes to make you crumble is a little tickling. How... adorably human.â His words were as wicked as his touch, his fingers finding every sensitive spot along your ribs, raking over your skin with a tormenting ease.
Your laughter only grew, helpless and unbidden, your body writhing beneath him as you tried to twist away from his relentless fingers. But the press of his body against yours, the heat of his breath, and the smirk on his lips were driving you to the edge in more ways than one.
âYou know,â he continued, one hand slipping higher along your ribs, while the other skated down your side in search of a new vulnerable spot, âyou really should have thought this through.â He watched as you struggled to speak, your protests dissolving into helpless laughter as pinched the soft spot above your hip in a steady rhythm. âBut I suppose thinking things through isnât exactly your strong suit, is it?â
Another fit of giggles burst from you, the words âShut up- Loki, I swear-â managing to slip through the laughter before his searching hand found an especially sensitive spot just above your knee. Your leg jerked, and you could barely contain the yelp that escaped you.
âOh, now that's a good spot, isn't it?â he mused, his smirk widening as he kept his fingers there, watching with satisfaction as you writhed in his grip. His thumb and middle finger cratered into your skin, moving in small, unrelenting circles against the muscle, each pass drawing a louder, more desperate laugh from you.
Every time your laughter began to steady, Loki would adjust, finding fresh angles to torment that same spot, leaving you gasping and breathless, tears prickling at the corners of your eyes. The sound of his satisfied chuckle only made the entire ordeal more maddening, his smirk widening with every helpless laugh he drew from you.
The muscles of your core ached, already weakened from the near hour of sparring you'd endured before this ordeal, and your desperation mounted as you realised just how completely you were at his mercy.
âPoor thing,â he murmured, his voice mockingly sympathetic. âAll those threats you make, all those fighting words... yet-"
The door to the gym opened suddenly, and two figures stepped inside. Loki didnât miss a beat, glancing up to find Steve and Bucky standing there, their faces caught between surprise and amusement at the scene before them. Loki merely grinned, unperturbed, as though they were expected guests.
âAh, gentlemen, so kind of you to join us.â His fingers didn't stop, not even for a moment. Your breath hitched between laughs. âSheâs been begging for mercy. Tell me, donât you train your people to withstand a bit of torture?â
âSteve!â you gasped, trying and failing to sit up as Lokiâs fingers dug into your ribs with a terrifying precision. The hand at your knee gave a quick pulse and you shrieked, giving a violent kick of your leg that somehow dislodged his hand. âBucky- help!â
The two men exchanged a look, an unmistakable smirk crossing their faces as they watched you squirm beneath Lokiâs touch, now at both of your sides.
Steve folded his arms, tilting his head as if considering your plea. âSeems like you've bitten off more than you can chew,â he said, lips quirking up in amusement.
âYou're gonna have to get yourself out of this one,â Bucky added with smirk.
"Please!" You squeaked when Loki wrapped his hands around your hips once more, squeezing and pressing as you plead through helpless giggles. "I-I'll do anything- just- j-just help me, please!"
âAnything?â Loki murmurs, his voice low and smooth as he leans down, stilling his hands just long enough for you to catch your breath. âMy, my, this sounds like quite the liability. Is this all it takes to break you?â His fingers latched onto both of your knees with renewed vigour, eliciting a shriek and then a fresh burst of laughter.
You were too far gone to respond, tears gathering in your eyes as you twisted under his touch, utterly powerless to escape. His words, his steady, relentless taunts, were maddening, each one sinking in deeper as his fingers found every vulnerable place that left you laughing helplessly beneath him.
Your cheeks burned as you tried to wriggle away from his fingers, laughter turning desperate as his hands traced the sensitive muscles along your thighs. âL-Loki, pleaseââ
Loki casted a glance at Steve and Bucky, his voice dropping to a lower, more mocking tone. âHer training is sorely lacking. She's reckless, susceptibleâŚ" he looked back down to you with a sly grin, "and seems to lack any sense of risk analysis. Taking me on, indeed.â
You were incredulous - as much as you could be in your position - and you tried to protest, tried to tell them that it was Lokiâs idea to spar in the first place, but the words wonât come. Lokiâs hands had you too helpless, laughter spilling from your lips as he smirked down at you with an expression of pure satisfaction.
Bucky shrugged, grinning as he watched your futile struggle. âMaybe we need to work on conditioning that out of her.â
âOh, no,â Loki interjected smoothly, slipping his hands to the juncture of your hips and thighs, sending you arching off the mat, squeals of laughter tearing from your throat. "I rather like her this way."
Desperation drove you to try to reach for Steve or Bucky, your arm outstretched in a silent plea for mercy.
You should have learned your lesson about desperate moves.
Loki saw the opportunity in your attempt, and with a smooth, precise move, he twisted you onto your stomach, pinning your outstretched wrist to the mat as he settled over you, his other hand slipping to your lower ribs to press into a spot he'd already memorised, one that made you shriek.
âReally, darling,â he whispered darkly, his voice rich with satisfaction, âyour judgment is appallingly poor, isnât it?â His fingers glided higher, hitting a spot on your upper ribs that made your laughter turn silent, breath hitching as you struggled under him.
âYou handed me this opening,â he tutted, his taunting words making you burn hotter. âWhat happens next is your fault.â His fingers found the sensitive spot beneath your arm, drawing out a fresh wave of laughter as your body arched, your feet scrabbling for traction as you slapped your free hand against the mat.
Hard laughter barrelled out of you, your head falling to the mat as you squeezed your eyes shut, succumbing to the sensations he was pulling from your nerves.
Surrender washed over you, cool and easy, as you felt your muscles go limp beneath him, nothing in your mind but the feeling of his body, his hands, the force of your laughter, and the pure, unadulterated fun he was having with you. And it was fun, you realised. In a way that people like you usually didn't indulge in.
Bucky tapped Steve on the arm and jerked his chin towards the door behind them. "Seem like you have this under control," he smirked at you. You looked up to glare but only caught their knowing glance, the one of friends and not of Avengers. The one that said, we know exactly what's going on here.
It made you flush almost as much as the unrelenting torture.
Almost as soon as they left you, Loki's tickling hand pulled away. You gulped greedy breaths in as he turned your sagging body with ease, settling you on your back as he hovered over you, eyes roaming the product of his work.
"I trust you've learned your lesson." His voice was a low rumble that sent heat pooling to your belly. All you could do was nod. "Next time you dare to pull a stunt like that," he started, leaning in so close you could feel his breath fanning your lips, "I won't be so gentle."
Heat bloomed over your cheeks, to the tips of your ears, the space between you charged, crackling with an intensity that sends a thrill through you.
You couldn't look away, your breath catching as his gaze lingered on your lips.
His own parted, as though he was on the verge of closing the distance...
He flinched.
Pulled back. Pulled away.
Your brow lowered in concern, but before you could ask what was wrong, he stood.
"Until next time."
He looked down at you, his eyes lingering with a promise that made your pulse pound, before he turned and strode out of the gym, leaving you sprawled on the mat, breathless, wanting, and hopelessly, maddeningly confused.
It was late that same night when you finally worked up the nerve to confront him.
You moved through the silent halls of the Compound, each step echoing in the darkened corridors as you slipped past the shadows pooling in doorways. Uncertainty crept up your spine, and you almost turned back more than once, only to grit your teeth and push forward. There were too many things left unsaid, too much tension thickening the air between you and Loki, and it gnawed at you now, refusing to let you retreat.
Before you could decide on a way to begin, his door opened. He stood there, almost as if heâd sensed you coming, his expression a mix of curiosity and that ever-present amusement.
âIt's rather late for a visit,â he said, his tone low, his words quiet and full of question.
You met his gaze. âCouldn't sleep,â you replied, massaging the back of your neck with one hand.
His lips twitched with something darker, though his tone remained light. âAnd you thought I could help?â
Silence stretched between you, and for a moment, you wondered if this was a mistake.
"I thought you might be able to, considering it's your fault."
His face softened at the strain in your tone, and he stepped aside in a silent invitation for you to enter.
Swallowing hard, you stepped forward, pressing past him and into his room. He shut the door behind you, and the world seemed to fall away, the dimness settling around you, cocooning you both in a place of shadow and warmth.
"Go on then," Loki urged as you two stood near the lounge set in his room. A couple of armchairs and a matching couch, cast in the soft glow of several lamps and a dying fire in the hearth.
You drew a deep breath, forcing yourself to speak. âI know what you are, Loki,â you began, feeling your voice tremble with both fear and resolve. âMischief is part of your very nature, and I don't mind fun and games like- like earlier," you flushed thinking about it, catching the smirk forming on his features as he watched you fumble.
You gathered your courage and stared him straight-on. "But not with my feelings. All this- this flirting, and touching, and closeness... it's not a game to me. So if it doesn't mean anything to you, I'd rather it stop."
Lokiâs eyes narrowed slightly, the smugness vanishing, replaced by something harder, sharper. He let the words hang between you, a silence stretching before he repeated them in a voice almost too soft to hear. âIf it doesn't mean anything to me,â he murmured, a subtle, dangerous edge to his tone. "You think this- that you are simply a game? Another amusement of no consequence?"
You swallowed, willing yourself to continue. âTodayâŚâ Your voice broke slightly, and you pushed the words out. âIn the gym, we were so close. I thought...â Heat flooded your cheeks, but you forced yourself on, the confession slipping free. âFor the dozenth time, I thought you were finally going to kiss me. But I just left wondering if I'm a fool with some silly schoolgirl crush, way in over my head." The admission left you raw and breathless, your heart pounding.
He exhaled, the smallest hint of a rueful smile ghosting over his lips. "You were trapped beneath me. Pinned, helpless,â he said, as though it explained everything. âI could never take that liberty with you while you were at my mercy.â His gaze grew darker still, something haunted flickering in his eyes. âIâd never forgive myself if I gave in to such an impulse. I'd never stop wondering if you had truly wanted it."
"But I did want-"
"And what if you hadn't?"
His words were a balm and a brand, his unwavering gaze rooting you to the spot.
"I had to know it was real. Not something forced or coerced, something... taken from you when you were too breathless to say no. I had to know for sure that it was what you desired."
For a moment, you struggled to find your voice, the weight of his reverence filling the space between you.
âIt is,â you managed, each word trembling with the strength of your resolve. âI want this. I want you. I canât stop thinking about you, no matter how hard I try. I donât want to ignore it anymore.â You swallowed, breathless.
A beat passed, and something changed in his face - a tension releasing, his expression softening in a way you hadnât expected.
Slowly, he extended his hand, his fingers unfurling in a silent invitation.
You slipped you palm into his, letting him pull you toward him, his touch both a promise and a tether.
He guided you closer, his hands sliding down your arms, tracing the lines of your shoulders, until they rested firmly on your waist. Then, with a gentle insistence, he drew you toward an armchair, lowering himself into it and coaxing you down to settle over his lap, your knees bracketing his thighs.
His hand rose, tilting your chin so that you were forced to look into his eyes. They held an intensity that bordered on unrelenting, darkened by desire and the hint of something raw, something that took your breath away. He watched you intently, his expression filled with something just shy of reverence. His thumb brushed along the curve of your jaw, tilting your face toward him as his fingers trailed along your neck, igniting every nerve.
You shivered as he leaned in, so close that his breath fanned across your lips. His touch was calm and certain, his gaze flicking over you as if committing every part of you to memory.
âIâve waited for this,â he whispered, voice low and heated. âFor you.â
The weight of his words pressed against the heavy silence between you, and before you could answer, he leaned in, his lips finding yours in a kiss that was slow and consuming.
He guided you with a gentle but undeniable command, his mouth pressing deeper, each kiss drawn out, languid, until it felt like he was unraveling you with every deliberate stroke of his lips against yours.
The world blurred, and you melted into him, your fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as he lured a soft gasp from your lips. His hand slid to the back of your neck, steadying you, keeping you close as he took his time, tasting you, his lips teasing yours until you forgot to breathe.
When you moved to meet his kiss more eagerly, he slowed you, a faint smirk in the curve of his lips as he deepened the kiss with a patience that made your stomach twist. He was savouring this, savouring you, and the way he kissed you - deliberate, knowing - made your entire body ache with need.
His thumb brushed along your cheek, lingering as his other hand settled firmly at your waist, pulling you closer as though he couldnât bear the thought of you slipping away.
Your fingers found their way to the nape of his neck, tangling in his hair as he angled your face, holding you exactly where he wanted. When his tongue brushed lightly over your lower lip, you let out a soft, involuntary sound, and his hand tightened against your waist, holding you to him.
Lokiâs mouth moved over yours with a control that made you shiver, each kiss deliberate, and the quiet dominance in his touch sent warmth pooling through you. With every gentle press of his lips, every slow, teasing stroke, he seduced you, guided you, igniting something deep and undeniable that had simmered for too long. Your heart beat heavily against your ribs, and as you gasped softly, his mouth trailed along your jaw, his lips barely brushing over your skin.
When he finally pulled back, his gaze was dark, his expression full of barely-contained intensity.
A slight smirk tugged at his lips as he ran his thumb along your lower lip, the teasing glint returning to his gaze. âWell, look at you,â he soothed, voice rich with quiet amusement. âI half-expected you to come tearing through that door, seeking vengeance for how thoroughly I put you in your place earlier.â
Heat pooled in your face, and you fought to keep your composure, though it was a losing battle. âIâd have been fine if you hadnât-â
â-handled you so effectively?â he interrupted with an infuriating grin, each syllable soft and mocking. âDonât worry. I rather enjoyed it myself.â
His thumb still lingered on your flushed lips, his eyes glinting with that familiar mischief but something darker, something that felt like an invitation. âStay with me tonight,â he murmured, his voice low and heated, and the words sent a thrill down your spine.
The invitation hung between you, heavy and dark, the desire in his gaze nearly tangible. Your breath hitched, your heart racing at the thought of losing yourself completely in him, of surrendering to this quiet storm between you.
âThat depends,â you managed, barely able to steady your voice. âAre you planning to repeat what happened earlier?â
He chuckled, his fingers tightening on your waist as his eyes glittered with amusement. âOnly if you ask very, very nicely.â
A thrill shot through you as he leaned in, brushing his lips against yours with a dark, velvet whisper. âThat certainly won't be the last time we play like that. Tonight, however... I have other ideas for what to do with you." His fingers trailed up your spine, making you shiver.
Gods help you. He was going to be your undoing.
"I thought I'd take my time, learning you. Slowly. Thoroughly. Every little detail, every sweet noise you can make." His lips skated across the pulse point in your neck. "Would you like that, darling?"
"Yes." You had barely whispered your reply before his lips were on yours again, his mouth moving over yours with a slow, consuming fervour that left no room for questions, no room for anything except the feeling of him, his warmth, his presence, the gentle yet undeniable control in every touch. His fingers threaded through your hair, his hand steadying you as he deepened the kiss, guiding you with a restraint that made you shiver.
You melted into him, your breaths mingling as his hands drifted, his touch both firm and soft, and when he finally pulled back, his gaze held yours with an intensity that left you breathless.
âThis is not a game,â he whispered, a promise in his tone, his thumb tracing light patterns along your neck. His expression was sincere, edged with both longing and restraint. âYou say the word, and weâll stop.â
The words were a quiet echo, a reassurance that grounded you both. A chill of reverence passed between you, something thrilling, something impossibly tender. You met his gaze, nodding as your fingers traced the line of his jaw. âYou too. No pressure, no expectations,â you whispered back, meaning it, and he smiled, a soft, endearing smile that made your heart ache.
And then he guided you back into his arms, every movement slow and deliberate as he kissed you once more, drawing you into a dance that would last until dawn.

Pairing:Â Steve x reader and Bucky (platonic), no pronouns used
Warnings:Â Just a lot of fluff. Mild cursing.
It's been a year and a half since my last posted works! I'm VERY out of practice đ I'm trying to work on some smaller prompts on my list while I get myself back into writing and continue working on the Loki blip in the universe prompt. It's not my best, but I hope you enjoy in any case!
This was based on a Prompt for Steve x reader as well as a prompt where reader and Bucky bug Steve while he's making a public appearance.
âTell us, Captain, sir - how did the Avengers manage to track down the villainâs hideout this time?â
âWell, good sir - we have state-of-the-art technology that allows us to track electronic signals from thousands of miles awayâŚâ
âUgh, he is such a ham!â you muttered to Bucky under your breath as you observed Steve from a distance. âWeâre never going to make it to the store if he keeps stopping every time a reporter tries to chat him up!â
âSteve canât resist bragging about us,â Bucky chided, nudging you with his elbow.
âYeah, well⌠some of us are hungry!â
You huffed and folded your arms across your chest in annoyance, trying to catch the reporterâs eye with your scowling face, but she was far too enamored by the star-spangled captain to pay you any mind. How had a simple grocery run for ice cream turned into a twenty-minute interview with the press??
âI swear, Iâm gonna go drag him away from that reporter by the ear if he doesnât stop talking in the next 60 seconds,â you grumbled.
âWhy do that when we can mess with him instead?â
You turned to look at Bucky, who had a mischievous gleam in his eyes.
âGo onâŚâ
He smirked, shooting you a wink. âWatch and learn.â
You watched silently as Bucky meandered casually toward where Steve stood speaking with the reporter and her photographer. Steve was none the wiser to his friend approaching from behind.
â⌠but the serum isnât the only thing that makes us heroes. It takes a whole load of grit and determina-HAY-tion-!â
Steve flinched as his best friend subtly reached up and pinched his side mid-sentence, effectively silencing him. The captain recovered quickly, though, chuckling nonchalantly as he flashed Bucky a look. He continued on with his sentence after that, refusing to acknowledge what just happened.
âWait - Steve is ticklish??â you whispered incredulously as Bucky returned to your side.
âVery. Why does that surprise you?â
âI donât know, I guess I just assumed the serum eliminated weaknesses like that.â
Bucky chuckled. âNah - if anything it made it worse.â
âOh-ho, Iâve got to try this for myself!â
You quietly paced up behind the blabbing soldier, pretending you were casually walking past to avoid drawing attention from passerby. As you stepped by him, you reached out and swiftly dug your fingertips into his ribs for less than a second. Steve choked on his words and whipped his head around instinctively. You ducked out of his field of vision and prodded his other side.
âExcuse me,â Steve requested politely, turning around as nonchalantly as possible to find you standing behind him with a guilty grin on your face. âCan I help you?â
âI just came to remind you that we have somewhere we have to be,â you stated sweetly.
âYes, but it isnât urgent,â he muttered.
âOh, I think youâll find it to be very urgent, actually,â you whispered, shooting him a cheeky wink. With a long, drawn-out sigh, Steve turned to the reporter.
âMy apologies, maâam. Duty calls.â
You saw Bucky clap a hand over his mouth and nose to cover the snort that burst from his nares. Trying hard not to openly roll your eyes in front of the reporter, you nodded in the direction of the grocery store and began marching purposefully toward your destination, with Steve following in your wake.
âYou two are infuriating,â Steve grumbled once you were out of earshot from the reporter.
âExcuse me - I just want to go get my ice cream and head back home to eat it,â you countered. âYouâre the one who decided to schmooze with the first person who asked you about your superpowers.â
âIâm just trying to maintain good public relations. Maybe you should try it sometime.â
âUgh, no. I hate talking about myself.â
The three of you bickered amicably the entire way to the store. It hadnât ended by the time youâd made it back to the tower kitchen and dropped your grocery bags on the counter.
âIâm just saying - it wouldnât kill you to wear a hat or something to hide your face from reporters when weâre just trying to go to the store,â you griped, shrugging your sweatshirt off your shoulders and hanging it on the back of one of the kitchen stools.
âIt wouldnât kill you to try to be friendly to strangers every once in a while,â Steve retorted.
âExcuse me - I am a very friendly person! Iâm just selective about it.â
âFriendly as an angry porcupine, sure.â
You gasped indignantly. âAre you saying Iâm sharp with people??â
âYouâre just a little⌠prickly.â
âOoh, now thatâs an insult,â Bucky hummed sarcastically.
âYouâre just as bad, you know. Forget porcupines - youâre like a venomous sea urchin or something,â Steve shot back at his friend. You snorted.
âSteve⌠youâve really got to work on your teasing skills,â you chuckled. âA âsea urchin?â Really?â
âI could just take your ice creamâ
You narrowed your eyes. âDonât you dare.â
Steve held your gaze for a moment, eyes darting briefly to the bag on the counter between you with the ice cream inside. You lunged for the bag handle, but Steve predicted your move, snatching it out of your reach before you could get a hand on it.
âDamnit, Steve!! Give it back!â you whined, rounding the counter to swipe for the grocery bag. He turned his back to you, maintaining a barrier between you and the prize. âBucky! Help me out here!â
âNah, this is pretty funny to watch,â Bucky chuckled, snickering as you swatted at Steveâs arm.
âYeah but your ice cream is in there too!â
Bucky sighed. âYou make a fair point. Steve, buddy, give it back.â
Steve snorted. âYouâve been just as much a pain in my rear today! Why would I give it back to you either?â
You gasped dramatically, catching Buckyâs eye. âAre you gonna let him talk to you like that?â
ââCourse not!â
Without warning, Bucky lunged at his super soldier friend, tackling him to the floor. The bag of ice cream slipped from Steveâs grasp in his surprise, which you quickly snatched up before he could regain the wherewithal to take it back. With a triumphant shout, you tore the cover off your pint of ice cream and dug a spoon out of the drawer, swiping a scoop off the top layer and shoving it in your mouth with a contented sigh.
âMm⌠finawwy,â you mumbled with your mouth full. Swallowing, you pointed your spoon accusatorially at Steve where he was currently trying to shove Bucky off himself. âYou know, youâve been a pain in my rear all day. You deserved this - itâs nice to see someone teaching you a lesson.â
âYou two are pains in my rear every day!â Steve huffed as he grasped at Buckyâs shoulders and pushed.
âYou did not just say that!â you gasped dramatically.
âYeah, how dare you!â Bucky added, pinching at Steveâs side for emphasis.
âBahah- Bucky, donât start this,â Steve warned as he grasped his friendâs wrists to still his hands.
âOoh! Wait!â You set your ice cream and spoon down on the counter beside you. âI want a go! Bucky, hold him there for a minute.â
âWhahat??â Steve laughed in surprise, a nervous edge to his voice.
âSure!â Bucky offered, ignoring his friendâs protests as he maneuvered his wrists from Steveâs grasp and swiftly pinned his arms to the floor a few inches from his sides. âQuick, before he gets free!â
"On it!" You crouched down beside the super soldiers as Steve tugged against Bucky's grip. Without waiting to listen to Steve's protests any further, you began to scribble your fingertips into his exposed sides and ribs rapidly. You heard a thump behind you as Steve kicked his heel against the floor in protest, now pulling more frantically to escape his best friend's hold.
"HA-HEHEY! Cut it ohout!!"
"Nah. I deserve a little reward for tolerating you all day," you snickered, prodding at his belly. "Hey, Buck - where should I get him next?"
"Ohh, definitely under his arms," he suggested with a smirk. You pinched your way up his ribcage before slotting your hands into the narrow space between his biceps and his upper ribs. Bucky adjusted his grip to pry his friend's arms away from his sides as he attempted to clamp them down to limit the space under his arms.
"BUCKY!! Let me go-HO-HO this I-HI-INSTANT!" Steve demanded.
"No can do, buddy. I'm enjoying watching you get taken down a peg."
"DAHAMNIT BAHARNES!!"
"Oof, language Steve!" you teased, digging your fingers into the soft spot under his arms. "Where else is he ticklish?"
"The spot on his stomach right under his ribs - that'll really get him good." Steve nearly managed to slip his wrist from Bucky's grasp, but he quickly shifted his grip once again. "Better do it quick - I can't hold him much longer."
"Say no more." You pulled your hands free from under Steve's arms and danced your fingertips across the muscle-clad skin of his abdomen just under his ribcage as Bucky suggested. He threw his head back with a heavy stream of laughter at your touch, arching his back against the floor in desperation. It was only another moment before he finally succeeded in escaping Bucky's grasp.
Steve sat up swiftly, a playful but menacing gleam in his eye as his gaze immediately landed on you.
"Oh-ho, shit!" You scrambled to get to your feet to make your escape, groaning defeatedly when you felt a strong set of arms wrap around your waist and yank you backward.
âYou really think Iâd let you get away with that?â Steve asked rhetorically as he tightened his arms around your midsection to hold you in place.
âW-wait, Steve, we can- ahaha nohoho!â Your protests were cut short as Steveâs fingers kneaded into your sides. âBucky! Hehehelp!!â
âNuh-uh. Youâre on your own, my friend.â The infuriatingly unhelpful super soldier waltzed over to the counter to retrieve his ice cream, planting himself atop the countertop and digging in while observing the two of you wrestling on the floor below.
âUSELEHESS!!â you cried, attempting futilely to pry Steveâs hands off your sides.
âNice try. You should know better than to mess with me by now,â Steve teased. He loosened his grip slightly to scratch at your belly. A rumbling laugh erupted in his chest when you screeched in protest and doubled over, suddenly much more frantic. âOh, whatâs this?â
âDAHAMNIT STE-HEE-HEVE!â Your grip on his hands was far too weak to even budge them now - not that youâd had any hope of succeeding before your muscles had weakened from his tickling. You leaned more heavily into him as you succumbed to laughter. He responded by lowering you down to lay on the floor beside him, freeing both hands to dart randomly around your sides and stomach. Weakly, you tapped your palm on the floor beside you in surrender. Steve threw in a few more exceedingly ticklish light scratches along your belly before relenting in his revenge.
âThatâll teach you,â he teased with a grin, offering you a hand to help you off the ground. You grasped your abdominal muscles that were now aching from laughter.
âI-hi⌠Iâll probably still mess with you,â you admitted breathlessly. Steve made a noise of protest in his throat and reached over to pinch your side, but you swatted his hand away. âNoho more! Youâll kill me!â
âSo dramatic.â He rolled his eyes. âHere - hereâs your ice cream. Hope it melted while you were tormenting me.â
âHarsh!â You snatched it from his hand and stuck out your tongue, then turned to look at Bucky. "And you - you were zero help, thank you."
"Hey! I held him down for you! I was very helpful, in my personal opinion."
The three of you went right back to your friendly bickering session, as though nothing had happened. Any outside might wonder how you could all be friends, but you wouldn't have it any other way.
Hi anon who requested the Supernatural headcanons :)
Lee and Ler Headcanons for both Sam and Dean pleaseđĽ°
Sam and Dean Tickle Headcanons
SAM - LER
as a ler, sam is pretty ruthless when he needs to be.
growing up with dean, he can get irritated quickly, so if you're getting on his nerves, he'll let you know by tickling you.
it will start out as quick jabs to the side or harsh pinches to your kneecaps.
"oh, you're just asking for it now..."
if you egg him on, it will turn into a fully blown attack until you're left crying and pleading for mercy.
afterwards, he'll think he genuinely put you in distress and run to get you water and then hold you for as long as you need.
SAM - LEE
growing up with dean, sam got his fair share of being tickled.
he's the pleading type. the guy who will beg and make deals just so he won't be tickled.
"please, don't! I'll wash the car! I won't touch the car! I'll do your dirty laundry, just DON'T!"
when someone finally gets their hands on him, sam has a laugh they won't expect. it's a bit high-pitched.
he's a fighter, so he'll flail and squirm the entire time unless you're bigger than him and can hold him down.
his ribs are his most ticklish spot and that's where you can effectively weaken him.
DEAN - LER
as an older brother, dean knows just how to get you to talk or basically do anything he wants.
he's a highly skilled tickler, knowing just how to wreck you.
he's got that stern exterior, so he can be downright menacing when he's about to tickle you.
"you wanna repeat that?"
he can also turn it very sexy.
"oh, don't think I've forgotten where you're ticklish, sweetheart. we'll finish this later."
he can deduce you to a giggling mess before he even touches you just with a mischievous smirk.
he's a pinch and squeeze kind of guy, tickling harshly to get the loudest laughs from you.
DEAN - LEE
the tables completely turn when dean ends up on the receiving end.
he'll deny that he's ticklish until he's blue in the face, but everyone knows that it's a lie.
he'll threaten you just before you get the upper hand, making sure you know that he'll get you back eventually.
"I'd rethink this if I were you..."
"If you so much as put a hand on me, I swear to God."
you know it's all an act. you know dean secretly loves the playfulness (though he'd never admit it)
his most ticklish spot in that hollow dip in his hips and if you ever needed information from him, that's where you'd get it.
he'll fight it at first but will eventually calm down and take it once he realizes it's not so bad.
after a while, he becomes comfortable enough where he can actually enjoy the feeling of the soft, lazy tickles just because it gives him goosebumps and he feels loved and cared for.

Fandom- Scream (1996).
Pairing- Stu Macher x Reader (Friends to lovers- two characters falling in love and character A finds out character B is ticklish (ends in kissing and confessing) Characters are both 18 in this fic.
Itâs been a string of dark days for Woodsboro, California, as the Ghostface attacks ravage the town. Stu distracts you from your worries by inviting you over to his place. What was supposed to be a chill night of movies turned into playful tickling and heartfelt confessions.Â
Diiiiing!
High school didnât usually dismiss at 9:00am. You didnât crawl out of the warmth of your bed for two hours of instruction. But, these werenât usual times.Â
A killer was on the loose. People were going missing, lives were being lost. Woodsboro High couldnât keep you safe. So, they sent everyone home with a strict curfew to be enforced in the evening.
Even in a crowd, you felt afraid. Ghostface could be anywhere. He could strike at any time. You didnât even bother going to your locker. Instead, you were one of the first students in the hall, holding your backpack strap in a death grip.Â
You walked as fast as your feet could take you. But, someone behind you was faster.Â
Unlike you, Stu was thrilled to have a siesta from school. He burst out of his boring history class with a huge grin. He scanned the crowd for you and, when he saw you, he pushed his way forward.Â
â(Y/N!)
In the commotion of the busy hallway, you didnât hear him approach. So, when two strong arms hoisted you into the air, you screamed.Â
âNo, NO! Let me go!â Your limbs took on a mind of their own, flailing about violently. If Ghostface was gonna take you out, heâd have a fight on his hands. Stu yelped and, after getting clocked in the jaw, he immediately put you back down.Â
âHey, HEY! Itâs just me!â Stu wailed. He rubbed his jaw, wincing. âFuck, that hurtâŚâ
You sighed an exasperated sigh. âDamn it, Stu.â You stepped towards him, closing the gap, and tenderly put a hand on his jaw. âYou scared the hell outta me. Iâm sorry.âÂ
For a moment, Stuâs eyes softened. The two of you had been friends since elementary school, and it wasnât really a secret that he adored you. He made an agreement with Billy that they werenât allowed to hurt you. Ever. You were his calm in the storm that he and Billy were bringing to Woodsboro.Â
And, for you, Stu was your light in the darkness. The Ghostface attacks had you on edge. You hadnât been sleeping well, lacked focus in class, and constantly looked over your shoulder. A part of you wished that Stu took the ordeal more seriously. But, a larger part of you was grateful that he still found ways to make you smile. He leaned into your hand and gave you a little pout.
âSorry enough to come by my place tonight?â Stuâs pout turned into a bright, hopeful grin. âMy parents wonât be home, and Randy hooked me up with some killer movies. All thatâs missing is you~.â
He ended his statement with a poke to your nose. You smiled, playfully batting his hand away. Then, you released his jaw and sighed.Â
âI donât know, Stu. Iâm tired.â You replied. Then, as if on cue, you yawned deeply. âI havenât been able to sleep because of, well, ya know.âÂ
Stu nodded. But then, he gave you another bright smile, leaning his taller frame towards you. âThatâs exactly why you should come over! Ghostfaceâs got nothing on me.â He bragged and flexed his muscles. âLook, Iâm so buff, Iâll totally protect you, (Y/N).âÂ
You regarded him with a smirk. Then, you reached up to feel his bicep. Stu gasped and made a dramatic show of leaning into you. You tried to hold him up, but he was too heavy, and he nearly made you fall. You yelped and stumbled back into a nearby locker, scolding him without malice.Â
âStuhu!â You laughed and grabbed onto both of his arms to keep yourself upright. Stu snickered and hovered over you. He gently shook your hands off of his arms and took them into his own. He squeezed them affectionately, thumbs rubbing the top of your hands, and his blue eyes gazed into yours.Â
âLet me protect you, alright?â He asked softly. You froze and held his gaze. There was a sudden warmth in his eyes, and you felt your cheeks heating up. After a beat, you nodded.
âAlright, if you really promise to protect me.âÂ
Although the safety of your home comforted you, you needed a distraction. And, Stu seemed happy to deliver. Stu confirmed this with a wide grin.Â
âAwesome!â Stu cheered. He suddenly scooped you up, making you squeal, and carried you through the crowds. Once out of the school, he put you down, patting your back. âCome by at six tonight. Oh! And bring food! Canât have a movie night without food.â
You smoothed out your clothes, returning his grin. Honestly, he couldâve gotten lost in that smile. âIâll bring the best of Woodsboroâs culinary delights. You can count on it.âÂ
Stu whooped and did a fist pump. Then, with another laugh, the two of you parted ways.Â
Burgers, fries, and sodas spelled the perfect night-in for you. Stuâs house wasnât too far from yours, but your older brother insisted on dropping you off. You waved goodbye as he pulled off and carried the food to Stuâs door. You had to put the sodas down to knock on the door. Seconds later, the door opened, and Stu greeted you with a huge grin.Â
âThere you are! Right on time.â He gave you a quick hug and helped you bring the food in. Once inside his home, you felt your shoulders drop. Youâd been over his home so many times, it brought you a sense of peace. A rarity in the current state of Woodsboro. You followed him to the living room and set the bags down. He did the same. Then, he turned to you, playfully pushing you back onto the couch.Â
âHEY!â You caught yourself with your hands, snickering. Stu flopped beside you, and you lightly shoved his shoulder. âThatâs how you treat someone who brought you food?âÂ
Stu chuckled and cozied up to you, putting his head on your arm. âMaybe.â He smirked. He reached forward to grab the remote and his fries. âNow, shhh! The movieâs starting.â
You rolled your eyes, but otherwise relented.Â
Stu picked out a scary movie for the two of you to watch. His head was still resting on your arm and, despite your best efforts, you flinched at the jump scares. You shielded your eyes from any more scares, and Stu looked up at you curiously. He smiled.Â
âDâaww, youâre kinda cute when youâre afraid.â He cooed. He poked your cheek, snickering as you reeled away from him.Â
âCut it out, Iâm not cute.â You argued, keeping your eyes shielded. You moved your hands when you felt him shift under you. He sat straight up, suddenly poking your side. You slammed your arm to protect the area. âAha! Stu!â
âI donât know,â he mused, now harboring a playful glint in his eye. âThatâs the cutest little giggle Iâve ever heard. And you know what?â
You didnât respond, but when you felt the couch cushion dip, you jumped to your feet out of instinct. Just in time too, because Stu had scooted closer to you, wriggling his fingers in the air. You giggled nervously, pointing an accusatory finger at him. âStu, donât you dare-â
âOh, I dare, (Y/N)!â He grinned mischievously. He made the conscious effort not to dip into his Ghostface voice. âI wanna hear that adorable giggle again.â
He shot up from his seat and lunged towards you. You yelped and narrowly dodged him. You ran behind the couch for cover and tried to run around it. But, Stu mirrored your movements, moving left and right with you respectively. âWhere ya goinâ~?â
âIâm gonna kill youhu-â You snickered and made the last minute decision to grab a pillow for self-defense. Stuâs eyes widened and, after a dramatic gasp, he covered his mouth with both hands.Â
âYouâre gonna kill me? With a pillow? Oh my god, have mercy!â Stu pretended to sound terrified. Then, he suddenly vaulted over the couch, easily ripping the pillow from your hands. âI donât respond well to threats! Now, youâre gonna get it!â
You screamed and took off running. Stuâs grin widened; he loved a good chase. He stayed hot on your tail and chased you through the house. He easily caught up with you and, just before you could book it upstairs, he wrapped both of his arms around your waist. He dragged you back to the couch and tossed you onto it.Â
âBaaad move, (Y/N)! You donât run upstairs when someoneâs chasing you!â He playfully chastised. He straddled your waist and poked at random spots on your torso. You squealed and bucked your hips, giggling frantically. âHavenât you watched any movies?â
âNohohoho!â You whined and wrestled with his hands. You managed to get a couple of pinches on his sides, making him squeal, but he was faster and stronger than you. He gathered your wrists into one hand, holding them above your head. Then, with his free hand, he alternated pinches along your hips. You arched your back and giggled harder. âThihihis isnât fuhuhuhny! Lehehet me gohoho!â
âNope! No can do, Iâve gotta have those cute (Y/N)Â giggles.â Stu snickered and suddenly reached up to spider his nails along your neck. âGive âem to me!â
You yelled and scrunched your neck. âNOHahahaha! Stuhuhu stahaha!â You protested and whipped your head around, trying to avoid his fingers. After a couple more scratches, his hand found your side, and he squeezed at it rapidly. You arched your back again. âSTUHUHU!â
â(Y/N)~â He responded in a singsong voice. He scritched across your stomach to get to your other side. âPoor baby, does it tickle?â
âYehehehes!â You whined and fell deeper into your giggle fit. âPlehehehehease stohohohop!â
âBut I havenât even tickled your armpits yet!â Stu argued. Your eyes widened and you looked up at him, only to be met with a smug grin. âWhat? That wouldnât be a bad spot, would it?â
âNO! Not there, Stu, plehehehease!â You started giggling again when he poked and prodded up your side. You squirmed, trying to roll away from you, but his weight on top of you kept you pinned to the cushions. âPlehehease nohohot thehehere!â
Stu smirked up at you, teasing your rib cage with his blunt nails. That was your second worst spot; you squirmed around more violently, gasping in between giggles.Â
âHere I come, (Y/N)...â Stu taunted. He pinched at the spaces in between your ribs, earning short barks of laughter. âIâm gonna get you..â
You shook your head back and forth, laughing harder as he kept moving up. âNahahaha dohohonât!â
Stuâs eyes sparkled with mischief. Would you fall for one of the oldest tricks in the book?Â
âDonât what?â He asked, leaning down to nuzzle into your neck. You snorted and pushed your head against his, making him chuckle. âHmm~? Donât what, buddy?â
âTihihihihickle mehehehehe!â
No way. Stu switched to the other side of your neck to nuzzle. You pinched your eyes shut, now full-on laughing. âWell,â he breathed into your skin, making you laugh harder. âIf you insist!â
Stu let go of your wrists and, in one fluid motion, plunged his wiggling fingers under your arms. You screamed and slammed your arms against your sides, which trapped his hands in place.Â
âNOHAHAHA GEHEHEHT OHOHOFF OF MEHEHEHE!â You kicked your legs against the couch, your loud laughter filling up every corner of the room. âPLEHEHEHASE!â
âListen to you, listen to that pretty laugh!â Stu laughed along with you and drilled his thumbs into your armpits. You squeezed your arms against your sides even more, falling deeper into a pit of laughter. âYouâre such a cutie. Tickle, tickle, tickle, cutie pie.â
You blushed and writhed under him, laughing yourself silly. While tickling your armpits, Stu returned to nuzzling your neck. He blew quick raspberries into it when he felt especially mischievous. As much as you kicked and laughed, you werenât going anywhere. It was the raspberries that pushed you into hiccupy laughter, and after one more raspberry, Stu stopped tickling you.Â
You breathed heavily. Ticklish sensations still plagued you, so you were still very giggly. âYouhuâre suhuhch an ahahashole.â
Stu laughed. âYou donât mean that. You love me!â His eyes softened again as he looked at you; disheveled hair, a wide smile, those beautiful (e/c) eyes. âRight? Cause Iâve definitely got a thing for you, (Y/N).â
You looked up at him with wide eyes. Your face spelled surprise, but somewhere in your heart, you already knew. âReally?â
Stu climbed off of you so that you could sit up. âHell yeah, I do.â He repeated, patting a spot beside him. You obliged by scooting beside him, so that you were pressed against him. âWant me to prove it?â
Thatâs what you needed. Proof. Something sweet to seal the deal. You nodded. Then, wrapping an arm around you, he leaned down to kiss your lips. Deeply.Â
You leaned up into that kiss and smiled. Stu smiled too. Heâd kill to keep that smile on your face.

word count: 3,000
pairing: emma swan x regina mills
rated: pg-13
cw: talks of kinks, mild nudity, heated kissing scenes, intimate themes (no smut)
summary: emma is scared to talk to regina about her biggest kink.
Emma was fierce. Always has been, always will be.
When she arrived in Storybrooke, she wasnât afraid to speak her mind. Sheâd stand up to whoever necessary to do the right thing. She could, literally, kick ass and look pretty while doing it. But most importantly, she was never afraid to fight for Henry and his well-being, even if that meant crossing Regina Mills.
Regina Mills didnât scare Emma. Never has, never will.
Sure, sheâs tough and is definitely a force to be reckoned with, but not scary. Not to Emma, anyway. It took Emma a while to break through Reginaâs powerful exterior, even after they got together. Regina would swear up and down that she didnât have feelings for Emma the way Emma had feelings for Regina, but everyone knew it was a façade. Itâs what made the people of Storybrooke less frightened. Mary Margaret was fully convinced Emma made Regina tolerable, but Emma knew that Regina had always had that soft spot. She just had to find it.
So, no, Emma was not scared of Regina, but for some reason talking about this to Regina scared the hell out of her.
It happened accidentally the first timeâRegina had hugged her and when she pulled away, her fingertips trailed a little too lightly against her lower back. Emma hissed in response, arching away from the fingers and into Reginaâs body. She cursed herself for reacting at all, but it was so quick that she didnât have time to prepare herself.
The remembrance of her kink came flooding into her head and once it was there, it would set up shop for a while. Sheâd forgotten about it because of the length of time itâd been since sheâd been with anyone romantically. Plus, she had to focus on Henry and saving Storybrooke. She didnât have time to think about what turned her on.
Emmaâs cheeks flushed red as she pushed Regina away from her. Regina raised an eyebrow, looking her up and down.
âAre you alright?â
A loaded question. Emma sniffled, waving her hand in the air to dismiss everything that had happened in the last 10 seconds. âY-yeah, Iâm fine. I just got a chill.â
Regina hummed and seemed to let it go because then she shook her head and continued to thank her for taking Henry camping so that she could get some work done. Emma absentmindedly kept the conversation going, but the still-there tingling on her lower back was taking up space in her mind. Too much space.
Even after the feeling faded away, Emma replayed the moment over and over in her head, the smallest smile tugging at her lips. She couldnât help it. Tickling in general can, and will, make Emma turn into goo. Being tickled, watching others being tickled, even just reading the wordâitâs her weakness.
And since that small moment with Regina, it was all she could think about.
Emma began secretly wishing that it would happen again. She wanted to feel her nerves pulse as Regina slid her fingers over her skin. But wishing wasnât enough. No, it wouldnât happen unless Emma talked about it, which Emma would like to do just about as much as sheâd like to go back to Boston.
Though, as time went on and nothing ever happened, Emma began feeling antsy. Needy, even.
The second time it happened was also an accident, but Regina knew itâd tickled Emma. A string from Emmaâs jacket was left astray on her neck and Regina reached her hand up and brushed it off. Emma squeaked and shrugged her shoulder up to her ear, a shiver running straight down her spine.
âSorry,â Regina said, the corners of her mouth tilting up the smallest amount. âYou had a string.â
Emma looked at Regina with wide eyes, but her smile betrayed her. âIt was fine where it was.â
âIt was bothering me. Not to mention it got the cutest reaction out of you,â Regina chuckled. This third time was not an accident, but Emmaâs response was. Regina shot her hand up to Emmaâs neck again, fluttering her fingers at the soft skin under her ear. Emma giggled, shrinking away and swatting at Reginaâs hand.
âStohop!â
It was an impulse. Itâs what everyone says when theyâre being tickled. Emma didnât actually mean it. If anything, she wanted Regina to do it again. But she put the nail in her own coffin.
âApologies, dear,â Regina grinned, stepping closer to place a soft kiss to the side of Emmaâs temple. It was over as quickly as it started and Emmaâs heart sank. She knows that people say that when they really donât want to be tickled, so why on Godâs green earth would she say that?
It put Emma between a rock and a hard place. She couldnât take it back. Not without completely admitting that she liked it. So, she just sighed and continued her work, hoping that one word wouldnât deter Regina from ever trying to tickle her again.
It did.
Regina hadnât tried tickling her on purpose, nor had she done it accidentally. Emma was beginning to think that she was making a conscious effort not to and it was driving her crazy. Since that day Regina had hugged herâ4 months backâall Emma could think about was being tickled by her. She even stooped as low as trying the oldest trick in the bookâgetting on her last nerve.
Despite hiding Reginaâs favorite blazer and playfully ignoring her when she asked a question, she never tried it again.
Emma eventually gave up. The hope of Regina ever tickling her diminished faster than blowing out a candle. The thoughts were still lingering in her mind, but Emma stopped trying to antagonize her into it.
The fourth time it happened was just a stray of fingers during an impromptu make-out session that was nearing its way towards sex. Regina had pulled Emma out of the office abruptly, claiming she needed her for something important. It didnât take long for Emma to figure out that âsomething importantâ included lazy, yet hot kisses and trailing hands up her body to rip her clothes off.
The rendezvous had made its way to their shared bedroom within moments and Emma and Regina were already half-naked. Emma laid back on the bed and Regina crawled her way on top of her, seductively kissing her way up Emmaâs body. Whimpers, moans, and hisses filled the silent room.
It only took a few minutes for Reginaâs hands to skim their way up Emmaâs body, lightly trailing over her hip bones and up her sides. Emma arched her back and a quiet giggle slipped from her mouth. Regina would have missed it had she not been face to face with her.
âSorry, sorry,â Regina muttered through a kiss to Emmaâs neck, which coincidentally tickled too. Emma smiled and flinched in reflex, but her eyes went wide. It was now or never. This would be the perfect time to bring it up without it being too weird but still, Emmaâs heart thumped against her chest like a drum. It was almost painful.
âItâs okay, really,â Emma replied, moaning when Regina reached that spot under her ear. She wanted to say more, but Regina flattened her hands against her ribs and since she was very consciencely aware of where Reginaâs hands were placed at all times, she held her breath. Her heartbeat was the only sound she could hear.
âYou donât have to say itâs okay. Especially if you hate it.â
Emma wasnât sure what she thought Regina would have said, but it sure as hell wasnât that.
âW-what?â Emma tilted her head to see her girlfriend better, giving her a quizzical look. âYou think I hate it?â This set-up was almost perfect. Itâs as if the situation had literally fell into her lap and she could tell the truth without feeling like she was dropping a bomb.
Regina sat up, sitting on Emmaâs thighs and returning her look. âWell, yeah⌠donât most people?â
Emma shook her head and raised a brow at Reginaâs complete innocence. âNot necessarily,â she said. Regina hummed in response, but Emma was on the verge of telling the truth. The conversation couldnât stop there. âWhat made you think I hated it?
âYou told me to stop that one time I tickled your neck, remember?â Regina recalled. Of course Emma remembered. It was the only thing sheâd thought about for weeks. How Reginaâs eyes sparkled with mischief when she realized Emma was ticklish. How she smirked when she playfully flit her fingers on Emmaâs neck. How she never did it again because of Emmaâs slip of the tongue. And she couldnât even fault Regina for it because of how easy it was to believe that she didnât like being tickled. Emma had never brought it up and Regina had never tried before then.
So, now that the conversation had been brought up, Emma would finally tell Regina how she truly feels.
âYeah, but I donât hate it,â Emma mumbled, avoiding eye contact, âEveryone says stop. Itâs a trauma response.â
Regina narrowed her eyes at Emma. âYou donât hate it?â
Emma shook her head, her eyes still laser focused on the bed sheets crumpled around their legs. Regina didnât speak for a while. The gears in her head were busy turning as she remembered the signs. How Emma would antagonize her. How Emma would lean into her touch when theyâd make out. It all made sense. Reginaâs mouth tilted up into a small smile.
âYou like it,â she said. A simple sentence that made Emmaâs face burn hot. Her heartbeat felt heavier as her body tensed. Maybe this was a mistake. Itâs not normal to feel this way about being tickled. Her ex knew that, hence why it was part of the reason he left. Just as Emma felt hot tears spring to her eyes in embarrassment, Reginaâs cold hand touched her chin and lifted her head up to look at her.
Understanding. No judgement. Adoration. Maybe a mix of all three. Thatâs what Reginaâs eyes held when Emma finally locked hers onto her girlfriendâs.
âHow much do you like it?â Regina asked in genuine curiosity. Emma knew the answer and what she wanted to say, but all the preparations couldnât have prepared her for this question. âI only ask because I have to know how far I can take this.â A smirk plastered itself on Reginaâs face and holy hell, Emmaâs heart constricted along with heat pooling in her lower abdomen.
âI, uhâa lot,â was all Emma could muster. She wished she wasnât so paralyzed with fear even after knowing that Regina is clearly okay with it, but sheâd always been this way. It took a lot for her to mention it in her last relationship and it ended with her ex calling it strange. She liked Regina. Loved, even. She just didnât want to mess this up.
âA lot as inâŚâ Regina lifted her tone into a question to leave it open for Emma, but she just reverted her eyes back down to the bed. âDoes it turn you on, Emma?â
If Emmaâs face wasnât hot to the touch, it definitely was now. There are very few things that Regina is shy about and apparently tickling, and the prospect of using it as foreplay, isnât one of them. Emma swallowed hard giving Regina the answer she was looking for, but she nodded quickly too.
âLook at me, dear,â Regina coaxed, rubbing her knuckles along Emmaâs thigh. The pull in Reginaâs voice was just enough to make Emma comply, so she sighed and looked up, attempting to find the acceptance in Reginaâs face. âWhy didnât you tell me before? Weâve had plenty of sex and you never bothered to mention it.â
âIt just never came up,â Emma shrugged. âWhen it did, I was so scared of what you might say or think that I just couldnât talk about it.â She bit her lip anxiously and awaited Reginaâs response.
âEmma, you can always talk to me. There isnât anything on this planet that you could tell me that would make me hate you or scare me off,â Regina said, brushing away a stray tear that slipped from Emmaâs eye. âI mean, maybe if you told me you eat people, that would be a different story, buhutâŚâ A laugh slipped from Reginaâs mouth, which got Emma to smile too. âBut this? This is far from scary. In fact, itâs hot.â
Regina lifted her palms from Emmaâs legs, leaving just the tips of her fingers to trace lazy and slow circles on her upper thighs. Emma was immediately covered in goosebumps, her hands gripping the bed sheets.
âWhere are you ticklish?â Regina asked her lover sultrily, gently pushing her down to her previous position so she could get a good look at Emmaâs body. Smooth and fawn-colored skin that Regina could manipulate in any way she wanted once given consent. Her fingers trailed back up to Emmaâs hip bones, circling just above the waistband of her underwear. âI think I pulled a giggle from you right about here earlier.â
Emma giggled again, her stomach erupting with butterflies and heat rather than knots and anxiety. âEverywhehere. Pretty much everywhere,â Emma blurted out.
Reginaâs eyes lit up with excitement. âThat is wonderful news, Emma. Thank you for making this so easy,â she teased, scratching more firmly at Emmaâs hips. âNow, Iâll ask you again. How far can I take this?â
âAs far as you want,â Emma replied with a small moan interlaced with her words. âMy safe word is âredâ.â
Regina smiled at her girlfriendâs willingness to submit herself to this, the sheer excitement and wanting seeping from her skin. The slightest touch made Emma squirm, which Regina was delighted to see.
âThen, put your hands behind your head. Donât move them,â Regina ordered, her core clenching at the sight of Emma in such a vulnerable position. Emma did as told and bit her lip through a grin. Her entire body was on display, only her undergarments shielding her from being completely naked. Theyâd come off eventually, Regina thought. âGood girl.â
Regina placed her fingers on either side of Emmaâs belly button, softly spidering them across her stomach. Emmaâs abdominal muscles reacted instantly, jumping underneath Reginaâs light touch. Emmaâs quiet giggles turned into a real laugh, making Regina smile with endearment.
âOh, you are very ticklish, arenât you?â Regina cooed as she continued lightly tickling the blonde beneath her. She couldnât help but notice the tiniest moans and whimpers falling out of Emmaâs mouth, the sounds filling her heart with joy and lust. Regina moved her fingers up to scratch at Emmaâs ribs, earning her a loud gasp. Her arms shot down to cover the vulnerable area, but Regina halted her fingers, looking down at Emma with an arched brow. âWhat did I tell you to do with your arms?â
Emma blinked. âT-To put them behind my head?â
âAndâŚâ
âAnd not to move them,â Emma finished her sentence, her cheeks blossoming with a dark shade of pink. Regina adopted another smirk.
âExactly. Put them back. If they come down again, Iâll have to restrain you, understand?â
Emma wasnât sure if she could finish on words alone, but she was pretty damn close. Sheâd never seen Regina so dominant, but she really enjoyed it. So, Emma nodded and placed her hands back behind her head, lacing her fingers together so hard that her knuckles turned white.
Regina didnât say anything in response to Emmaâs compliance. Instead, she resumed tickling her girlfriendâs ribs, grinning slyly when she let out a whine followed by a belly laugh.
âReginahaha!â Emma cried out, turning her head to laugh into her elbow. Regina tilted her head and let out a satisfied hum at Emmaâs reaction. After another minute, she quickly shot her hands up to Emmaâs armpits, laughing herself at Emmaâs squeal and how fast her arms clamped down on her fingers. Regina continued wiggling her fingers despite them being trapped and Emmaâs laugh turned into a cackle as she attempted to roll over to flee from her assailant.
The brunette stopped after a few more seconds and both of their laughter died down. The two of them locked eyes again, Emma breathing deeply to catch her breath and Regina brushing the hair away from Emmaâs face.
âYouâre adorable,â Regina spoke after the silence had lingered for too long. âIâm delighted to know this information about you.â
âWhich part? That Iâm ticklish or that I like it?â Emma propped herself up by her elbows and huffed. Regina shook her head and pushed Emma back down for the second time that night.
âBoth. Now, Iâm not done with you, my dear. As a matter of fact, weâre just getting started,â Regina said, bending down to kiss Emma. They both moaned into each otherâs mouth at the contact. Emma reached up to lace her fingers through Reginaâs hair, but she put a stop to that quickly by grabbing Emmaâs wrist and pinning it to the bed beside her head. âI do believe I said that if you moved again, Iâd be restraining you. Did you think I was bluffing?â
Emma rubbed her legs together and sighed. âNo, of course not.â
Regina placed her fingertips at the base of Emmaâs sternum and slowly dragged them down to her hips, relishing in the pleasurable moans seeping from her loverâs mouth. âGood. You wait here while I get the cuffs.â
Emma watched as Regina swiftly got off the bed and strutted into the closet, watching her hips sway with every step. Then, she formed a genuine smile.
To think that Emma was genuinely scared to tell Regina about a kink that has ignited a newfound fire in their bedroom is almost laughable now. She should have known that Regina would be open to anything that turned her on just as she would be for Regina. Itâs how healthy couples worked.
Emma chuckled to herself as Regina came back with the restraints she promised. Little did she know, Emma disobeyed her on purpose just to get a taste of that punishment.
