#god it’s almost like he’s known coulson since literally IM1! its almost like they have a strange sassy friendship!#like??? ofc he’s gonna give a shit#tony has a huge heart and he cares so much#he wanted coulson to be happy#it sounds like a joke but if you know anything about tony you know he’d have gladly flown coulson to portland#he pretends he doesnt care bc being vulnerable leaves you open to being hurt#and at this point it’s just a part of him to react like that#and joke and act casual like he doesnt give a shit#not to mention he’s so fucking socially inept and awkward about emotions underneath all the charm and snark#he has like three friends#and being famous means everyone wants something from you#did anyone really expect him to be a natural at human interaction and relationships that last more than a day#he doesn’t have many people in his life who are close to him#or a constant presence#so when he cares about you he Cares About You#he’s just bad at showing it and wary about being vulnerable (see: Howard Stark and Obadiah Stane)#like????? he’s still the same guy who tried to save stane after being literally kidnapped and nearly murdered twice#and later he gets pepper a giant bunny for christmas and gets nervous about whether or not she likes it#tony stark gives a shit#he cares so much it’s fucking ridiculous#he just has no idea what he’s doing and frankly with his history with people that is valid and fair#anyway#tony stark#iron man (@socketwrenching)
