If you consider that the only thing disturbing the blood ocean are these hemorover blasting them with radiation, the ocean gets real boring, real fast.

Do you think he's using the Light to do so? I have many interesting monster anatomy questions about tree-ified Simon. For logic-based writing purposes.

What is a death trap to its invaders is a pretty balanced ecosystem to these monsters. They have nest-homes full of bones, they hunt, they live just as any creature would in a native environment, perfectly tailored to it by the God. The only issue is that they, uh, well... they're still human on the inside. The Red-Eyed God can re-mold bodies, but it can't re-mold minds.

I know for sure that these creatures are telepathic in some way, as we see with Ellie, and are fully sentient, containing some memories of the past seeing as Ellie remembered the exact coordinates for the Light. I wonder if the tree could use a radio or speaker to communicate like Ellie did.

I'm imagining the Last Tree on AT-5 whispering through the radio as future hemorovers tunnel through its root structure in that trench. That is so cool.

Tree!Simon, awkwardly through the speaker: Uh, you bumped into me.

SM-15 Pilot: WHO SAID THAT ⁉️

Tree!Simon: Could you please move. That hurts.

You could very well see Simon again in a true-to-canon-sequel situation, because he's still down there. Of course the radio thing would actually be much more terrifying than my goofy jokes. Probably a lot of screaming and mad babbling about the Light, as usual with these creatures.

When the Astrophage turned out to be water-based, he didn't care that there were high government officials seeing him in the lab. He went crazy because this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to prove everyone wrong and the damn things killing the sun and everyone decided to exist to give him one more middle finger into the grave.

When Grace first met Rocky, when he got scared, he screamed and stepped back, but he brought a wrench. He was ready to defend himself, coward or not.

If Simon got deposited into the PHM universe and landed in the middle of the movie while Grace was a few months after the coma, Grace would fight dirty. Muscles from the coma and the fact he knows he is the last hope for humanity, and possibly just having yet another streak of great luck, would not see Simon as an injured man in need of help for a moment, but another insult that might ruin everything for him, a choice stolen away yet again by things he cannot understand.
