Well let’s make that resemblance even closer!
You now have the ears and tail of a golden retriever! Effects last as long as you like.
WOW. OK.
Did someone mention a dog?
Uuuuuuuuuhuu
Hi, babe.
Oh. My. God. You have a tail!!
Yea.. and ears. Fluffy fucking ears.
"And ears!"
He says in an excited voice—probably the most excited he's sounded before, in front of Clark at least—before walking closer to the man and scratching him behind the ears.
Clark immediately leans into it, tail wagging hard enough to hurt anyone who it happened to hit.
“Oh, wow. That— that’s really good— holy shit.”
Jason grins, unable to contain his jubilance about the whole situation and the fact that Clark seems so happy.
"Do the ears make your hearing even stronger?"
Clark shrugs, letting his eyes slide shut as he appreciates the pets he’s receiving.
“‘Dunno. Y’smell good, though.”
Jason pauses before snorting, coming a bit closer and tucking some of Clark's hair back to see where the ears start.
"Like cigarettes, gun powder and cologne. They're definitely attached.."
“No. Like books ‘n car oil and something else comforting I can’t quite place..”
He murmurs, eyes sliding open a touch.
Jason pauses at that, humming.
"That smell is more on my suit anyways. You're the puppy right now so I guess I'll have ta trust you."
He teases, booping Clark on the nose.
”Mm puppy.. that’s such a good word.”
He notes, instinctively licking Jason’s finger when it comes close.
"Puppy? You like it?"
Jason asks, slightly bewildered. He makes a small sound of surprise when he feels it, his hand coming back before squishing Clark's cheek.
Clark nods, shoving his face against Jason’s hand cheerfully.
Jason smiles, ruffling Clark's hair a little bit.
"Can you still fly while like this?"
He shrugs loosely, ears twitching as he enjoys the physical affection.
"Can you try? For me?"
He asks, extracting his hands for a few seconds to let Clark do that.
Clark can’t hold back an animalistic whine at the loss of contact, frowning before hovering slightly to be at Jason’s height.
Jason snorts, putting a hand on his hip.
"Just for a few seconds.. don't worry."
He hums, watching Clark float before giving him a kiss on the lips since they're at the same height.
Clark smiles widely, lowering himself again and leaning against Jason.
Jason wraps his arms around Clark's shoulders to hold him closer, pulling back a bit when he's back on the ground.
"See. Doesn't that make it worth it?"
“Mhmmm…”
He tucks his face into Jason’s neck, tail wagging like crazy again.
“Wanna lick ya. Can I lick you?”
Jason rolls his eyes, holding Clark tightly nonetheless.
"Is this because of the spell or have you always just been like a puppy, huh?"
He shrugs again, pulling away a bit to properly look at Jason.
“‘Dunno. I think I’ve always wanted to. Maybe the magic anon just amplified it.”
Jason blinks, looking back at Clark before humming.
"Okay.. You can if you want."
He mumbles, snorting a bit before moving to press their foreheads together.
Clark’s features are graced with a smile once more. He leans up a bit to lick Jason right over his cheek, tail wagging hard enough that his hips shift back and forth with it.
Jason laughs softly, wiping it away before petting the man more. He glances down at the tail before hesitantly moving to hover his hand near it.
"I wonder what breed they turned you into.."
Clark melts back into the pets, blissfully humming at the question.
“Think the anon said golden retriever..”
"Hm.. cute. I'm more of a dog person, you?"
He hums, a hand still wrapped around Clark's shoulders while the other is occupied.
”Same.”
He buries his face back in Jason’s neck, slipping his arms around Jason’s torso now.
Jason leans into the touch, resting his head on Clark's before pressing a kiss to his hair.
"You wanna go to my place?"
Clark nods quickly, careful not to bonk Jason while doing so.
”Can you take us there? You can fly, right? Pick me up n’ stuff.”
He asks softly, his hold getting a little more secure.
Clark nods, moving his arms to pick Jason up in a bridal carry instead, smiling at him smugly as he lifts them off the ground.
Jason makes a small sound of surprise but recovers quickly, wrapping his arms around Clark's neck and resting his head on the man's shoulder, raising an eyebrow and looking at him when he smirks.
Clark kisses Jason’s forehead, mumbling for him to hold on tight before speeding them off to the safehouse Jason had been staying in most recently.
Jason leans into it, just keeping his arms wrapped tightly around Clark. He closes his eyes when Clark speeds off, hiding his face in the man's neck a little until they stop.
The smaller man lowers them onto the fire escape once they arrive, letting Jason adjust to being still before carefully setting him down again.
Jason blinks his eyes open, looking around and seeing where they are. His hold around Clark's neck tightens for a second when he's put down before realising what's happening and standing up, pulling away from Clark to unlock the window and climb in.
Clark smiles softly, following Jason with his tail wagging slightly.
Jason closes the window behind them before practically throwing himself on to Clark and wrapping his arms around the man's shoulders again.
Clark lets out a small ‘oof!’ sound, chuckling and wrapping his arms around the taller man too.
"You've never taken me flying, y'know? We should do it again."
Jason states, leaning in closer.
”Yeah. Maybe later.”
He leans closer too, letting their noses brush and smiling softly.
"Later."
Jason hums, putting more and more of his weight on Clark, trying to test something.
Clark tilts his head curiously, unintentionally playing into the puppy look.
Jason snorts, booping him on the nose. He continues to do it until he's about to fall, waiting to see what Clark will do.
Clark notes what Jason is doing and picks him up, slinging his the larger man over his shoulder and carefully padding them to the couch where he cheerfully plops Jason down.
Jason grins triumphantly when Clark finally picks him up, making a small sound of surprised when slung over the man's shoulder and put on the couch before taking Clark's hand and pulling him to come join him.
Clark smiles, settling himself on top of Jason, chin rested on the larger’s chest as his tail thumps against the worn couch cushions.
Jason holds him close, resting his head on Clark's.
"How long do you think this'll last..?"
”Anon said however long I want it to last..”
He shrugs, absentmindedly pressing a few kisses to Jason’s neck.
Jason tilts his head up to give Clark more room, the feeling more gentle than he expects.
"Oh? And how long do you want this to last?"
Clark hums, trying something new and gently sucking a mark into Jason’s collarbone before pressing a kiss over it.
“‘Dunno. I think I’ll just keep it until it gets annoying. If it ever does. It just feels right, yknow? Like it’s something I’m supposed to have.”
Jason closes his eyes when he feels Clark's lips latch onto his skin, expecting it to hurt more before looking down, his nose getting buried in the man's hair. He finds himself not minding, wishing it hurt more in the back of his brain.
"Right? Huh. Might be a Kryptonian thing."
He chuckles, laughing softly.
Clark scatters a few more kisses over any exposed skin, hesitant to add another mark in fear of making Jason uncomfortable.
“Mmaybe..”
"Maybe? You're the alien here."
He snorts, leaning into the touch and pressing himself even more forward into Clark.
Clark huffs softly, taking Jason’s leaning closer as a sign and carefully sucking another mark against his throat, this time lightly dragging his sharp canines over it.
Jason makes a dragged out humming sound, not quite a groan but more so a sound of approval, his nails scratching Clark's scalp.
"Still haven't.. answered the question."
He whispers softly.
Clark whines, he doesn’t want to answer a question. He doesn’t want to do any words right now. He just wants to be close and warm and safe and good, and that’s exactly what Jason is.
Jason rolls his eyes, pressing a kiss to Clark's hair.
"Message received."
He mumbles, continuing to scratch Clark's scalp until his hands drift back to behind his ear.
Clark melts against Jason once he hears his reply, pressing soft, sleepy kisses to his jaw and neck now.
"You're so clingy, y'know that?"
He teases—even though the same could very much be said about him, a hand drifting down to where Clark's tail starts from.
Clark immediately tenses, shrinking back a bit at that. He’s suddenly very aware of exactly how clingy he had in fact been this whole time.
"I like clingy."
He adds at the end, his hand drifting back up to massage the man's shoulder blades into relaxing back.
Clark slowly relaxes again, pressing close to Jason like before and burying his face between the larger man’s pecs with a soft huff, tail thumping against the couch and ears tilting slightly forward.
"Hmm.. you wanna lay down? On the bed?"
He offers, glancing down at the tail curiously. Jason would feel the fur but he already knows you're not supposed to touch a dog's tail.
Clark pulls away and tilts his head, accidentally playing into the confused puppy look. He thought the bed was bad? He had drilled it into his mind after that first night that Jason did not like the bed.
Jason frowns, not sure why Clark seems confused. He thought the man would like that—that's all Jason wanted to do. He's not really thinking about himself, pushing those feelings to the back of his head.
"We can lay here then."
He hums, a small part of himself relieved even if he can't feel it much right now.
Clark hums and presses his face back into Jason’s neck, tail wagging once more.
He wanted to ask if they could lay down again but pushes it down since he didn't get an answer, holding Clark close to himself.
Clark cheerfully kisses Jason’s neck again, content with their current situation.
Jason attempts to coax Clark into laying down on his side with him, fighting back exhaustion.
Clark blinks, realizing what Jason is doing and quickly flopping onto his side instead, curling against Jason.
Jason lefts out a small sigh of relief, hiding Clark's head in his neck and keeping his arms wrapped around the man, his eyes quickly slipping closed.
Clark presses his face into Jason’s neck, instinctively sniffing a few times before he catches himself.
Jason laughs softly, tired down to the bone and trying to relax enough to fall asleep despite the fact someone is right there—a fact his body is all too aware of.
Clark eventually settles, closing his eyes too and properly relaxing.
Jason stays awake, silently, eyes still closed and his breathing even. From the outside even someone as skilled as the Bat himself would assume Jason to be sleeping; yet, his mind stayed awake, the panic not fully leaving.
Clark pressed a drowsy kiss to Jason’s jaw, listening to his heartbeat—it was three beats faster than his usual bpm when he slept—and knowing he was wide awake.
“Go to sleep, Jay.”
Jason doesn't move, even when the kiss is pressed to his jaw. He's trying; he's really trying to fall asleep but some instincts don't leave, the feeling of someone next to him enough to keep him awake.
He makes a small sound—almost a whine—when Clark speaks, letting himself move now that he isn't pretending anymore and nuzzling himself closer, trying to communicate how sorry he is for disturbing Clark.
Clark whines back, disapproving of Jason’s attempt to apologize. He places a dozen more kisses over his face and neck, trying to properly convey that he wasn’t mad at Jason, but worried.
Jason lets out a small sigh of relief when Clark doesn't seem to be mad at him, leaning into the touch and pressing their foreheads together. He doesn't get that Clark is concerned though, just happy to accept that he's not being punished for anything.
Clark lets out another quiet sound, shifting away a bit but giving Jason the ability to pull him back if he needs.
“M’gonna get some water, ‘Kay?”
Jason's eyes open again when Clark pulls back, grabbing onto his arm in a panic and sitting up, his breathing a bit uneven.
"Don't leave."
He says softly, too much panic in his voice.
Clark immediately shifts closer to be pressed against Jason, guilt bubbling up in his chest.
“Shh, it’s okay, starlight, I’m right here.”
He soothes, bringing both hands up to cup Jason’s face.
Jason tries to take a few breaths when Clark comes back, some of his panic fading but not completely leaving, tilting his head forward to try hide it in Clark's hands.
"Can you just... don't go?"
He starts, giving up on his first sentence and looking back up at Clark hopefully.
”I need some water, baby..”
Clark thinks it over, pulling closer so Jason can properly bury himself in Clark’s arms.
“Do you wanna come with me? I can just carry you..”
Jason buries himself in the crook of Clark's neck, the man being taller than Jason—a rare occasion—because of the fact he's standing. He thinks about the option a bit before shaking his head, just taking a few seconds to calm himself.
"I'm sorry—it's fine, you can go. Fuck."
He mumbles, swearing after realising what he just did but not finding the heart to pull away.
Clark just picks Jason up anyway, holding him close and making sure the smaller is comfortable before padding to the kitchen like it’s nothing.
Jason tenses when he’s picked up, expecting something else—something that hurts, a punishment maybe—but instead being taken in Clark’s arms.
He’s taller than Clark like this but curls up to fit, his head still hidden in Clark’s neck. All he feels right now is relief, relief that Clark didn’t leave him, relief that he wasn’t hurt for what he did—just relief and comfort.
Clark presses a gentle kiss into Jason’s hair, trying to assure him he wasn’t mad. As he enter the kitchen holding Jason, he uses his one free hand to get a cup, put ice in it, and put water in it, taking a long sip before holding it in front of Jason to see if he wanted some too.
Jason leans into it, wrapping his arms around Clark’s neck to feel more secure. He knows that Clark probably wouldn’t drop him—not if he didn’t want to anyways—but the instinct is still there.
He opens his eyes when the glass is put in front of him, shaking his head a bit before closing them again. The cold of the water would probably wake him up to the point he shouldn’t even try sleep.
Clark hums and takes them back to the living room, setting Jason down first, then the cup, then settling next to Jason on the couch, tail thumping gently against it.
Jason holds on a bit tighter when let go before looking back, realising Clark is just trying to put him back down and bringing his arms back. He leans a bit closer to Clark, his hands hovering near his tail.
“Can I..?”
He asks softly—a small rasp in his voice—while gesturing to Clark’s tail.
Clark glances at Jason’s hand before nodding, shifting so Jason can reach it better.
Jason smiles softly, gently petting it and running his hands through the fur. It’s so soft he wants to rub his face against it but first he needs to check if it’s too sensitive for that.
Clark tilts his head slightly. He expected it to feel weird, but so far it just feels like someone brushing his arm or his leg.
Well let’s make that resemblance even closer!
You now have the ears and tail of a golden retriever! Effects last as long as you like.

‘Dunno. Just bored yknow?
I feel cute. It’s actually really fun having a tail. 10/10 would recommend.
hm. alright. you can just talk to me, i’ll listen.
you look cute. hm. i’d never want a tail. but it looks good on you. do you have animal mannerisms??
yay !!
Auwweeee Thank’ya. I think I already had animal mannerisms before, they’re kinda just amplified now.
of course. really? hm. i can kinda see that. you do whine a lot. does your tail wag? when you scratch behind an ear, does it feel nice? do you bark??
Yes, the tail wags. A lot, actually. Yeah, ear scratches feel great. No.. I haven’t barked yet. I growled at my phone a few times though.
oh. my. god. can i scratch your ear? why did you growl at your phone???
Yeah, if you want to. I read something I didn’t like.
yayyy. alright. Scratches his ear
what did you read? you seem to like everything.
Clark smiles, tail wagging slightly as he leans into the scratches.
Mm.. just dumb stuff that irritated me.
Jason smiles as he scratches Clark’s ear. “What stuff? C’mon you can tell me.” He asked.
He shrugs loosely, glancing away.
“Just some asshole gothamite complaining about your methods on TikTok.”
“They always do that,” Jason shrugged. “Why’d you get mad about that? It’s not a big deal.”
“I told you it was dumb..”
“It’s alright. It’s nice, nobody really does that for me.” He patted Clark’s shoulder. “How’d you reply?”
”Didn’t say anything, I wasn’t really in the mood to argue, yknow?”
He shrugs loosely, meeting Jason’s gaze again.
Jason hummed. “Huh. You seemed passionate about it, but alright. You don’t have to lie to me, you know that right?”
”I know. I’m being honest.”
Clark shifts his weight a bit, biting the inside of his mouth like he usually does.
“If you say so.” He shrugged, resting his head on Clark’s shoulder and touching his tail. “Wow…It’s fluffy.”
Clark tenses a bit when Jason touches his tail with no warning, forcing himself to relax again as he looks over his shoulder at said tail.
“Yeah. ‘S a golden retriever one.”
Jason pulls his hand away quickly. “Sorry. I should’ve asked.”
“Oh, I love golden retrievers. I prefer pitbulls, but golden retrievers are great too.
”No, it’s fine. Just feels kinda weird.”
Clark assures, feeling a bit guilty for overreacting.
“Mhm, pitbulls are great.”
He puts his hands on his lap instead, still resting his head on Clark’s shoulder.
“They are. I have a pitbull.” Jason grinned.
“Cool..!”
He smiles, tail starting to wag again.
“Do you wanna meet her?” He asked, eyeing the others wagging tail.
”Sure!”
Clark tilts his head slightly, following the other’s gaze and quickly trying to will his tail to stop.
Jason laughed quietly, “Cute.” He mumbled, booping Clark’s nose.
“I did not know I had that in me..” Jason whispered.
Clark blushes softly, but smiles back.
“Oh, is the big bad red hood suddenly a softie?”
His face went back into an immediate straight line, “Nope. Never.” Jason said, hiding a smile.
“Aww, don’t hide your pretty smile, jayyy~”
Clark complains, leaning close enough for their noses to brush.
He blushed, turning his head away. “Stop.”
Clark just smirks, nuzzling softly into exposed the nape of Jason’s neck when he turns away.
Jason smiles, a bit flustered. He laughs and turns his head back.
”You’re really warm.”
Clark comments, tail wagging once more.
“Really?” He titled his head slightly, “I’ve been told I run cold.”
”Maybe I’m just really cold.”
He shrugs, leaning up against Jason now.
Jason holds him. “You are pretty cold. But it’s okay, I like the cold.”
Clark hums quietly, letting his eyes slide shut as he relaxes into Jason’s arms.
He played with Clark’s hair, pressing a kiss to his forehead and then immediately pulling away.
Clark lets out a long, high whine like a kicked puppy, trying to lean forward as Jason pulls away.
“Sorry, sweetheart.” Jason frowned and moved his hand back to playing with Clarks hair.
Clark keeps on a small pout, humming softly at Jason’s apology.
“‘S fine.. I overreacted.”
He kissed the other, smiling. “No you didn’t.” Jason grinned and went back to playing with his hair.
Clark glances away, still feeling like a baby for whining over a bit of distance.
“Prime…” Jason frowned, hand stilling.
”Hm?”
He glances back up, quickly trying to hide his expression, unaware that his tucked tail gave him away.
“Why are you sad? I don’t mind if you whine over distance.” He said, caressing Clark’s cheek.
Clark’s brows furrow, though he leans into Jason’s hand.
“Don’t wanna be needy, yknow? That’s like.. one of the top ten hot guy turn offs.”
Jason smiled softly at him. “Dude. I don’t care. I like needy people.”
”Whew. I was worried.”
He exhales in mock relief, smiling back at Jason.
He grinned, kissing him again. “Don’t be.”
Clark kissed Jason back, starting to trail a few smaller kisses down the taller man’s neck before resting his face against his chest, fluffy ear smushed up against his pecs.
Jason’s face went bright red as he played with Clark’s hair again. He scratched the others ear, and smiled brightly.
Clark’s tail starts up wagging again as he holds onto Jason, mumbling something unintelligible and kissing Jason’s cheek again.
“What’d you just say?” He asked, tilting his head.
”love ya..”
He mumbles again, clearer this time.
“I love you too.” Jason said, planting kisses all over his face.
Clark beams at that, leaning into each kiss cheerfully.
“You’re so pretty.” He said, pulling away.
”Am I?”
He asks, ears angling back a bit.
“Yeah. And hot. Look at yourself.” Jason smirked, scratching Clark’s ears again.
Clark shrugs loosely, leaning into Jason’s hand.
“I don’t think so..”
Jason raised an eyebrow. “You’re beautiful, hot, gorgeous, sexy, pretty, kind, awesome, sweet, funny, want me to keep going?”
Clark flushes bright red, shaking his head vehemently and burying his face in Jason’s neck again.
He laughs and goes back to playing with Clark’s hair. “You alright?”
”Y’too nice to me..”
He mumbles, flustered to the moon and back.
“But you like it, right?” He smiled, moving Clark so Jason could look at him.
“Maybe.. ‘dunno.”
Clark looks away again, ears pinning back against his head in embarrassment.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” Jason shrugged, watching Clark’s ears.
Clark just hums, closing his eyes again and trying to relax.
Jason ran his fingers through the others hair, smiling contently.
Clark can’t help but smile back, leaning his head into Jason’s hand.
