You know what I really find really fucked up? How us girls get depressed over a guy. How us teenagers cut and do horrible things to ourselves. How we get so sad and stay in our rooms. How we have to get those likes and comments to feel pretty. How much a “read” text hurts so much. How parties are not of celebration but for beer pong, shots, smoking and sex with people we don’t even know. How our generation relies on drugs, alcohol, and sex so much. We get drunk and high. Drugs are way to damn easy to get a hold of. We are so fucking stressed to the point where if someone says “hi” we flip out. School is no longer a place to learn. It’s about passing, not failing, and what we look like. School is hell. A girl cries, y'all laugh. She thought she could trust her now the whole school has seen her naked. If a guy says something nice to a girl…screenshots,tweets,100 favourites because he was “thirsty” or a “fuckboy”. We no longer date we “hook up” or “friends with benefits”. How “Netflix and chill” means sex. We catch feelings, sleep together and end up as strangers. Our generation is hard. Parents don’t understand that and think we are “overreacting”.
