Not agreeing to something didn’t equal disagreeing to something - it was something Minoru quickly realized as he found himself confronted with the other, dark hues watching the other silently while he tried to process the whole situation he had gotten himself in. He could clearly remember their last, proper conversation, where Chiaki had voiced out loud already that having Minoru continue staying with him and working under him wouldn’t be enough, and yet, he had never said anything against it or even voiced his opinion because he had thought that it was nothing more than a spur of a moment. Now, being faced with the small stack of paper as well as the fact that Chiaki had definitely asked around already as to who could continue taking care of him, he couldn’t help but frown while stopping in whatever it was he had been doing (it wasn’t important anymore) as he faced the other properly. “You haven’t,” he stated, probably a tad bit too blunt to someone who held a higher rank than him. “You haven’t been halting my process, Chiaki, and you’re the only one I want to continue working with like I do now, no matter how much more talented you think the other Clansmen are. You’re the only senpai I need, so don’t think so negatively about yourself. Give yourself more credit.”
