Little background on how I conceptualized my MTT Dark World designs:

For the first one with his more humanized ghost form, I did take a lot of inspirations particularly in his bedroom in Undertale because other than the obvious reason it being him prior to getting his body finalized by Alphys, it just shows where his headspace is currently at in Deltarune. It's also particularly why I decided to make the motif very star heavy.

I chose to make his beret and crop jacket his pillow and his blanket because I just thought it was cute and they feel like two items he keeps near and dear to his heart and I've always liked the idea of him sort of falling asleep and ending up at the Dark World really funny HAHAHA

Like a lot of MTT Dark World designs (which I also took inspo from), it just made sense that his first form entering the Dark World was essentially a more idealized, humanoid version of his ghost form. I really like the idea that as he gets more self confident in himself, the Dark World responds to it as well and letting him have a bit more liberty in crafting and molding his own body to better suit what he wants. However, I also like the fact this form is still far from what he likes, and is a lot more susceptible to his emotions as well.

One idea that's been bouncing in my head whenever I think about his ghost form is him getting a lot more ectoplasmic and it almost feels and looks like he's melting whenever he's having a breakdown, and I like the idea of it being heightened in the Dark World so it essentially feels like he's on the verge of melting into a one amorphous blob similar to like how the Amalgamates are in Undertale.

For the second one where he's essentially Tenna's new co-host and partner for TV World:

If you've seen the latest post I put out for my Dark World designs for a request, you'll see the color palette I chose is heavily leaning towards the NEO form that Spamton takes over because of the fact it was a scrapped design of Mettaton's dream body. I also took some aspects from it, which are mostly the wings and the boots.

The only difference is the fact I decided to put a spin on it and combine it with Tenna's and MTT's showtime aesthetics, so it's a lot more cohesive and feels more tied to what he had initially idealized his dream body to be. There's only one gold star on his chest compared to the many pink stars in his previous form, and I like to think that is an indication of how he carries himself more in this form. I also like the idea of the shape of his sort of shoulder guards to look like CDs so I went with that in place of his original ones.

But yeah that's all I really have, might add some edits here and there if there's going to be more ideas I plan on brainstorming, and I'm also currently brainstorming some concepts for my own Tenna design for Mettaton's dark world so I'll post that whenever I get around to that!
