Applying Multiverse of Madness dream logic to Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an emotional rollercoaster of an exercise. If we take the premise that every dream is a snapshot of an alternate universe, then there are worlds where almost everything turned out differently.

There's a world where Buffy was killed by the Master. A world where the Master impersonated Giles to strangle her. A world where Angel was killed by Drusilla. A world where Buffy and Giles opened an office supply warehouse in Vegas. A world where Willow talks gibberish to a monkey. A world where Buffy and Angel get married and Buffy burns in the sun outside the church. Multiple worlds where Faith is relentlessly pursued by a murderous Buffy. Infinite worlds where Jenny is still alive, where Giles was able to save her.
