This is Critter, gangly teen daughter of Horus and Percy.

Critter likes Matcha Lattes and and grilled cheese tomato sandwhiches, her favorite band is Wetleg. She dyed all her hair and she swears it’s totally not a phase.

I am extremely pleased with her. In particular I love her hands, and this design is likely to be the hand style moving forward on future builds.

Her tail is made up of 3 chain links with apoxie sculpted spikes which I then needle felted onto. It keeps the tail flexible and pleasant to hold.

Her arms are hinged at the shoulder so the dangle a bit. Previously this was a rabbit toy with snap bracelet arms, to clamp around a wrist.

I decided to lean into to length rather than shortening them, and balanced it with extra long flamingo style legs.

One of my favorite details is the sleeve of the suit, which I’ve gathered at the inner wrist to resemble the elastic you might find on a onsie or the big romper costume for children I wore in the 90’s.

Critter has a secret, shhh.

These are custom dolls made from thrifted dolls, stuffed animals, and hand sculpted faces.

In Percy I have also made her hands and feet. Her tail is needle felted over a chain style tail with spikes.
