Thunder

In this photo I see beauty, delicacy, care, love. And it’s sad to see, one more time, that naked women are not offensive only when they show their bodies to satisfy the patriarchal and heteronormative gaze. They are not appropriate for a diversified audience when they are actually representing a different audience, when they are talking to a different audience, whose models are still too few and marginals; whose lifes are still too difficult and endangered because of discrimination, disrespect and no-comprehension. I am a woman and I love women. For being a woman in this society, my nipples are offensive. So I have to cover them with a rose. I am a lesbian and I love my girlfriend. For loving her, I am offensive, because I’m not loving a him. I made mistakes, I still need to grow up, sometimes it’s hard, but I’m still fighting for this love. Because I know it’s powerful, because I find myself in it. Because it’s true.
