maybe being forced to be an MC for one day wasn't a bad idea.

a/n: currently in my missing tag era, wdym it’s been 3 weeks since i’ve seen him :,) anyway, enjoy this and give me some ideas for future posts
Being told by my manager that I have to stand-in for Wonhee as an MC, wasn't how I imagined my morning to begin.
Truthfully, I always imagined this being an easy gig, but boy, was I wrong.
Everyone standing around me trying to style my clothes, do my make-up and pick the right hairstyle while I tried to memorise some of my lines. I have to apologise to Wonhee the second I see her, for managing to do this calmly every week.
I think my nerves finally went away after I realised how good the line up for today is.
Scratch that. I'm even more scared now.
Standing now in front of the big camera, trying to calm my knees down.
"You've got this." I've been repeating to myself as if NCT 127 isn't standing right next to me.
Interview with them came to the end quicker than I could imagine. I'm glad I managed to say my two lines. I'm usually not nervous around other idols, but who wouldn't around THE Kim Doyoung.
Watching all the performances in the backstage as I had nothing else to do till the winner announcement. One song in particular stood out to me.
"ONE PACT - 100!" I read to myself as I tried to recollect if I knew someone from there. As the song came to the end, I wrote it down for myself to add it to my playlist later.
Everyone now was piling up in the backstage to get on the stage. I tried to stay close to the other MCs but I lost them right away.
With at least 50 people in one small room, I couldn't help but trip over someone's leg.
Awaiting to hit the wall or the worst case possible, the floor, I was caught by something.
Or more like someone.
"Hi." I said. It was the guy from the group i saw on the TV. ONE PACT was it?
"I mean, thank you for saving me!"
"Ah no worries, are you okay?" Staring right into my soul. Woah, have I ever met those eyes?
"Yes, don't worry, just a lot of people. You know." And just like that, he put away his hands and we all moved onto the stage.
Thankfully, all my lines were projected on the small TV next to the camera. I couldn't take another embarrassment today.
After deserving win for NCT 127, we all left the stage and I couldn't be happier that this is over.
Handing over my equipment, saying goodbye to the MCs and thanking the staff members for being patient with me.
I was now heading over to my dressing room, meeting a few idols taking pictures or doing challenges with each other.
Before I could reach my dressing room, I ran into something.
Or more like someone.
"Oh, hi!" I said now to the familiar face.
"Hi. Actually this is a perfect timing." I looked at him confused.
"I was wondering if you could do a dance challenge with us!"
"Ohh, sure! Was not expecting to dance today" I was about to follow him, but he turned around for a second.
"I'm Tag by the way!"
"Y/n, nice to meet you" and here he comes with those eyes again.
Without a second to recollect, I was now standing with the rest of the guys, who all started to teach me the choreo.
As an idol myself, I was used to this and within minutes I had the choreo memorised.
I thought I would record it with Yedam, who contributed the most in showing me the choreography, but here I was standing next to Tag.
Both awaiting for the music to start.
Just to be sure, we took three takes. But it genuinely felt like 3 hours. Why am I feeling like this?
Rewatching our takes, him being too close to me to even care about what's on the phone.
As I thought this was it, biding our goodbyes and me slowly walking away, a hand stopped me.
"Hi!" I said once again, looking straight into those beautiful eyes.
"Hi"
Well this is awkward. After a few seconds he cleared his throat.
"I don't do this usually, but can i have your eh... number?"
Oh.
"Usually?" I asked more to just tease him.
"Hey" oh his smile "I'm not a playboy, trust!" And here we are, exchanging our numbers, hoping to 'collaborate' in the future.
Maybe being forced to be an MC for one day wasn't a bad idea. I really have to thank Wonhee for being sick this exact week.
