A small sampling of the artwork inspired by architecture that you will find on the tumblr of this art student from London. Collages, sketches and photography come together to create something amazing!

This Monday we held an extra curricular Drawing Circus at The Old Market, following closely on the heels of the last. Starting with still-stretches and ending in a six-player pile-up pose the Brighton Rockers Roller Derby Team modelled for a full complement of eager artists, creating a dynamic diorama of Derby delight.

We raised £160 for the team to help them get to a game in Glasgow and we’re looking forward to their next local game, a Double Header with BRIGHTON ROCKERS V’s LONDON ROCKIN ROLLERS and BRIGHTON BRUISERS V’s PORTSMOUTH ROLLER WENCHES. Click here for tickets.

Rainbow pencils

Made from recycled paper, rainbow pencils let you create beautiful paper rainbows every time you sharpen them. This project is funding on kickstarter right now! Help make this product a reality by pledging & pre-ordering before the funding period runs out!

Rainbow Pencils function like regular wooden pencils, and are the same size and weight, but they’re not made from wood, they’re made from lots of layers of recycled waste paper. This means the shavings / sharpenings look like rainbows. 

Each pencil has a 6-layer rainbow core and comes finished in either black or white. There’s 5 in a pack and the simple design makes a great gift.

Artist Berndnaut Smilde Creates Amazing Indoor Clouds

Using a combination of “frozen smoke” and moisture, the artist is able to create a cloud that can last for a short time — just long enough to be photographed. The temperature and humidity of the space is carefully regulated. The artist then emits a short burst from a fog machine, creating a cloud that dissipates in an instant. The artist’s clouds were recently listed by the TIME Magazine as one of the top 10 inventions of 2012.
