if you or someone you know might need it in the next few years, purchase plan b. the shelf life of plan b is 4 years, and we might not be able to access it as easily as we can now in the days ahead.

if you are larger/plus size: go online and purchase ella instead of plan b. plan b is less effective if you aren’t under 160 pounds.

if you can, purchase books that project 2025 is looking to ban.

mass deportations are starting. if you see ice vehicles or agents, yell ice raid and la migra as loud as you can.

if someone asks who you voted for, keep your mouth shut. they’re fishing for traitors.

if anyone, anyone at all asks about your neighbors or their legal status in the us, you know nothing. don’t be the reason that their family is separated.

if anyone asks about your religion or lack thereof, keep it vague. this administration will look for any excuse to persecute you.

your friends are trans or queer? for the next four years they’re not. don’t expose anyone’s status as a trans or queer person to anyone else, even if you think you can trust them.

did someone you know get an abortion? no, they didn’t. they were never pregnant.

in short, don’t be a snitch, and keep to yourself these next four years. we’ll make it through this even if it seems hopeless at times.

We ran from violence family rejection and governments that refused to see us as human. We crossed borders in fear carrying only trauma and the hope that somewhere someone would care.

Today we live in a camp where life is unbearably hard.Many of us sleep on the ground Many go days without food Some are sick with no treatment Some cry through the night because the fear never leaves.

We are exhausted We are hurting But we are still holding on because we believe humanity hasn't forgotten us.

This is a plea for solidarity, support, and visibility for HIV+ queer refugees who are currently suffering in silence in refugee camps where they are subjected to brutal homophobia, transphobia, and isolation on a daily basis.

These are people who have fled their home countries in search of safety — only to face new layers of trauma, stigma, and violence within refugee camps. Many are denied access to lifesaving HIV medication and have gone days without food, healthcare, or basic human dignity.

Because they are openly LGBTQIA+, they are often ostracized, threatened, and targeted — not only by local authorities but also by other refugees. The hostility and discrimination make it dangerous for them to even ask for help within these spaces.

💊 Some have not taken their HIV meds for days.

🍽️ Some haven’t eaten in days.

🏳️‍🌈 All are fighting to survive — and they should not have to do it alone.

We are reaching out to queer folks, trans siblings, intersex family, BIPOC allies, global activists, and anyone who believes in queer liberation as a global, intersectional movement — your help is needed.

We need our freedom being our selves 🌈🏳️‍⚧️☝️ doesn't mean we're not human beings and deserve our lights we came here looking for protection and freedom but it's like jumping from sourcepan to fire we face a lot of homophobic who discriminate, criticised, threatened, lesbian raped, starving sleeping outside kids don't get to play due to threatening from homophobia we seek freedom from the world 🌈🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🙏🙏😭😭

In the Gorom Refugee Settlement in South Sudan, LGBTQ+ refugees—especially transgender individuals—continue to face intolerable violence, isolation, and trauma. The fear hasn’t stopped. The discrimination hasn’t ended. And the world has gone quiet.

We at Trans Initiative Gorom, a grassroots group led by and for transgender refugees, are not asking for much—just safety. Just the right to live in peace and dignity, like anyone else.

Stop quizzing us on queer history and asking us questions we aren’t qualified to answer about the world and about politics and about our identities

Stop trying to back us into a corner so you can justify your discrimination on the basis that we don’t know what we’re talking about or can’t “defend” ourselves to you

Stop treating every queer person that stands up and says “I want to be treated like a person” as if they’re an activist

Cut that bullshit out

Marginalised people just want to exist and be happy

I don’t know everything, and that doesn’t make me undeserving of your respect or my human rights you fucker

I don’t even owe you the stuff I do know- I still am entitled to basic fucking respect
