ok i started the next episode and the "previously on" suddenly had buffy finding faith with angel and im like when did that happen?? it happens on angel! which is ridiculous that some of the things that happen on angel are relevant to what happens on btvs do i have to watch them simultaneously????? no one told me this! faith escaping and being missing in action is a pretty major plot point why would you continue it IN A SPIN OFF SHOW

can an experienced buffy watcher please tell me if i need to just watch angel simultaneously in order to get the full story of the show im trying to watch, or are there just specific angel episodes i should watch before certain buffy episodes

right so i have found several lists indicating which angel episodes to watch in concurrence with buffy. and now im annoyed. why would joss whedon do this to me specifically.

ok well you know if the plot relevant info gets dumped in the "previously on" then i get the general gist and can just keep watching buffy knowing that there is "extra" story for when im finished with the series, and it'll be a nice way to stave off the inevitable end of show sadness if i do occasionally get to see my btvs friends in angel. so that's fine actually
