Well, we've finally reached the end of this story... 🥹

Going to be a massive sap and send huge thanks to the @shadowmonkeysbigbang team (@uhbasicallyjustmilex and @subtle-as-an-earthquake) because quite frankly, this story wouldn't exist without you guys. 2024 was a year marred by a creative block for me and I spent the longest time doubting whether I would ever manage to get a single word down on paper, but the excitement of the Big Bang and your encouragement throughout the year has been so pivotal in getting me to write again 💖

The deadline for the Shadowmonkeys Big Bang 2024 is now officially closed.

The extension period is now open and will run until February, and there are a few teams using it so we’ve still got a few more exciting collaborations to look forward to! But for now let us say a HUGE congratulations to all our teams who’ve already posted! It’s been amazing to see all your creativity and hard work, and we very much hope you’ve had fun collaborating together for this year’s Big Bang 🥰

We’re planning to put together a masterlist of all the entries once the extension period is over, so do keep your eyes peeled for that!

This is just a reminder that the deadline for Big Bang 2024 submissions is tomorrow, the 23rd December at 00:00GMT (What time is that for me?)

If your collaboration is not ready to post by this time then please don't worry - as previously mentioned, we have an extension period that will run until February. I know I for one (Lulu) will definitely be using it for my fic! If you think you will be using the extension too then please let us know, either by messaging either myself (@uhbasicallyjustmilex) or Minnie (@subtle-as-an-earthquake) or by replying to the email we've just sent out. Similarly, if you have any questions or concerns about your project then please don't hesitate to reach out! 😊

We also just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the wonderful creativity and hard work of everyone's projects so far! It's been genuinely heartwarming and inspiring to see all the amazing fics and artworks that have come out of your collaborations, and I know I for one am so looking forward to sitting down over the Christmas break and having the time to finally get properly stuck into the entries I haven't read yet! A HUGE congratulations to everyone who has shared their collaborations, you should be so proud of yourselves 💖 Thank you for your amazing work and for keeping this little fandom alive!

Excited (and more than a little nervous) to finally share chapter one of my Big Bang fic! 💖 This story has been lurking in my brain for well over a year, but between an intense writer's block and work commitments I honestly thought it would linger in WIP Land forever. I have to pass along enormous thanks to the @shadowmonkeysbigbang team for giving me an excuse to rescue this story and especially to @uhbasicallyjustmilex for your encouragement and for sharing your own incredible works, which have made me fall in love with this fandom all over again. Thanks also to @rock-n-roll-fantasy for your kind words about the first few chapters - I can't wait to share more with you 🥰

Hi everyone! We’re SO sorry that we haven’t sent out guidelines on posting your fics. Both myself (@uhbasicallyjustmilex) and @subtle-as-an-earthquake have had a lot on our plates recently, and it somehow completely slipped our minds to send out the email with guidance on how to actually start posting your works as part of the Shadowmonkeys Big Bang 2024 🙈

Basically, when you’re ready to post your fic please add it to the Shadowmonkeys Big Bang 2024 collection on Ao3 (this can be done as you’re posting it, or retroactively). This will send a request to us, and we will then be able to approve your fic to be added to the collection.

Please also make sure you post a link to your fic on tumblr and tag us in it so we can reblog it here! 🥰 (You can either tag us in the body of the post, or just tag us in a comment on it. Whatever is easiest for you is absolutely fine!)

To anyone who’s already started posted their fic, that’s amazing - congratulations! 🥳 It’s so wonderful seeing everyone creating and collaborating, and we absolutely cannot WAIT to read what you all come up with ✨

All this information and any further necessary information will also be sent out in an email ASAP - so please do keep an eye on your inbox.
