It’s about harry and yn (i think it was a omc but can’t remember her name) and they are both dragon riders. Harry comes from time to time to train yn on her skills but they have a romantic relationship too. Yn’s vlage gets attacked by people who steal dragon eggs and harry and yn have to run away and they find out this has been happening to other villages too. this may be a longshot but read it back in late 2000 or so - reader is driving to be a nanny for harry. she has to drive a long windy road to get to his home. can't remember anything else atm but there was a gate at the entrance to estate i think. sorry, know that isn't much to go on :/
