I was thinking of doing something with a brunch of cards with peoples experience or something. It sounds a little bit like the art from Heartstopper in season 2. It is a little based of that but i am putting my own twist to it!

But i was wondering if anyone wanted to share a experience about being Aro/Ace or Aroace or something people have said to you about beingAro/Ace or Aroace (can be negatieve or positive). Or just give me any inspo on what to make!!

Since I was 9 years old, I’ve known I’m aroace. Around then is my earliest recollection of hearing the label. I personally don’t do labels for myself, but I mean, I’ve never had a crush, never been in a relationship; never kissed someone, nothing. Never been on a date.

My whole life, and still, everyone from all which directions have told me that first I was just “too young” and didn’t know, then as I grew older, it became that I “just haven’t met the right person yet”. No one has been interested in me, and I have not been interested in anyone back.

And you know what? It feels amazing. I love to be myself. Never change yourself for anyone. Your value is not determined by whether or not you date. That is a sentiment that applies to alloallo people too; it applies to everyone.

Our culture brainwashes us since birth to think we have to date. Focus on what you enjoy. Don’t worry too much about conforming, and if someday you DO meet someone you like, good for you. It’s all whatever. But don’t let people control your life. And don’t think purpose is in dating/marriage. It is not. Find your purpose. Whether that be your work, interests, friends, or family: a mix of those, or something entirely different.

My dream is to get 3 PhDs.

Now I’m 19, it’s been 10 years and I’m still aroace. I don’t think that’s changing anytime soon. Ive never even been attracted to a fictional character.
