i’m currently on a winter break and i decided to start studying japanese again. i took one course of japanese in high school like 2 years ago and i’ve forgotten EVERYTHING so we’re back to the very basics. thankfully i saved all my course material from that course because i can now finally find it useful!

Despite being forced to stay inside my apartment, I luckily got my book mail before this mess started and I’m enjoying my currently readings all day long. I started with If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio, I wanted to take a break from classics and complex readings with a fast paced and intriguing mystery. I like underline and write down after sentences and words I’ve found fascinating and full of poetry for my own writing exercise.
For some reason having to stay home makes me actually WANT to study... or maybe I just thoroughly enjoy pneumology 😍🤦🏼♀️
01.04.2020: 44 / 50 days of productivity
a new month so hopefully new motivation :-)

Do you make a study schedule to keep yourself on track when working from home?
I've never found schedules work for me, I prefer to set myself a bunch of mini deadlines in the lead up to one big deadline and try to meet them as best I can. If I miss one though, I won't beat myself up over it, I tend to manage my time well enough to give myself wiggle room
a new normal: studying, sitting in the sun, animal crossing, & journaling

messy essay plan for english literature class. working from home has slowed down my brain, and I’m not in the mood to write essays, but I’m forcing myself (not in a negative way) to keep studying and not playing animal crossing, so today has been pretty productive.
everyone, stay safe! ♡

Darling I really 🍒ish you
Please take care of yourself and wash your hands. Stay safe guys 🙏

tomorrow is my first day of online classes which is probably going to be super awkward and filled with problems rip. the country’s also going into a lockdown of some sort in the next week, but luckily for me, I rather like staying at home haha. this is the last spread from october 2018 when I was preparing for my hsc.
these are some old photos, but it was nice to find them in my photos today! hope y’all are doing well and taking care of yourselves out there!

25/03/2020; 47/100 days of productivity with @studiesandcaffeine ;
i had a few lectures to cover today, including biological mechanisms of ageing, and two sociology lectures about social support and formal and informal care. there was a little about isolation and loneliness and i thought about how it’s so relevant especially as the government are urging over 70s to socially distance themselves for 12 weeks, which is going to have a profound effect on both their physical and mental health.

An hour ago I wanted to post about how much I was struggling. I feel like I’ve hit a low and don’t know how to deal with the demands of uni work, work work and my personal projects alongside my emotional and mental state right now.
For my deadline due on Monday we’re meant to review and write an essay about three poetry pamphlets and maybe I’m the only one, but I struggle to create good work or any work if it’s based on something I have no interest in or cannot relate to but this poem in Jennifer Lee Tsai’s Kismet is changing that slightly.
There is hope for meeee!
Okay bai! 🤍✨
