My week was spent on crying over biophysics, trying to make life changing decisions, and playing with my dog, overall a normal week.
Winter Studying Challenge
15th December: Q: what is the coolest gift you ever gave to someone? A: ahh oh no I'm not sure... I gave someone a star named after them once!
16th December: Q: what is your favourite christmas movie? A: this is so hard! I think its between Love Actually, the first Harry Potter, and we always watch Wallace and Gromit the wrong Trousers!
17th December: what is your favourite Christmas song/Carol? A: top three! All I want for christmas is you the my chemical romance version, dance of the sugar plum fairy, and Patapan/o come o come Emmanuel by Mindy Gledhill

ive trying to consciously make studying enjoyable, but also rigorous and productive lately. started by downloading forest and tidying up my desk (a very good mix of art and law obvs). today is day one. hope everyone is staying safe.

It's a studying in the back yard sort of morning
I finished working my last full-time schedule this past week since starting my hospital pharmacy internship mid-May. After many many days of working overtime, working 16 hours straight, and workingâŚ
We spend so much of our time studying, but at the end of the day it doesnât really matter if we donât know how to apply that knowledge. I find myself learning more from hearing about othersâ experiences and going through trial and error myself. I started writing about some of my takeaways and reflections so that I wonât forget what Iâve learned from those various experiences, and thought Iâd share them here as well so that hopefully one other person may learn something too.

rearraging furniture in the middle of a zoom lecture just so I could sit next to the radiator

2021/01/27 đľ had a pretty good and wholesome day today đ
woke up at 7ish, cooked an omelette and tried the tea I got from my aunt (a type of green tea)
sketched some of the plants in my backyard and watched the birds play amongst the rocks
continued (and finished) developing part of the website for this student org Iâm in
applied to a few more internships
learned âmerry go round of lifeâ from howlâs moving castle on the piano
cooked nasu dengaku (miso glazed eggplant) for lunch
started reading âthe midnight libraryâ by matt haig
finished a blog post thatâs scheduled to be published later today (!!!!!)
went to the mall to buy a couple things for school
also bought some books on sale: 1) âthe economistsâ hour: how the false prophets of free markets fractured our societyâ by binyamin appelbaum and 2) âaiq; how artificial intelligence works and how we can harness its power for a better worldâ by nick polson and james scott
had afternoon tea with my mom
Whatâs one thing that made you smile today?
Good conversations with friends. Although most of us are probably tired of Zoom by now, Iâm thankful that conversations have been deeper and more intentional. With most things being online, thereâs less focus on doing activities or eating together, and more on conversations and seeing how people are really doing. Or at least just from my experience.
