it's almost the end of December and I feel like I'm stuck two years ago

(these sound fun so here we go)

∆ my actual bag itself- I have a vera bradley backpack ive had since the seventh grade. its perfect. it has more space than I'll ever need. I think i lost a coat in there last week.

∆ my pencil pouch- i use a makeup bag for pencils. I keep my erasable highlighters, pens, mini stapler, white out, and pencils in there.

∆ the secret history- obviously the book i keep on me changes when I read different books, but I always try to have a novel in my bag for down time!

∆ my binder- I fit all my papers in one 1inch binder. yes, I'm insane. I have eight dividers, two for each class. one will hold current assignments, homework, etc., while the other keeps notes, reference materials, etc. I also keep a hole punch in my binder so I don't have to keep loose papers sticking out.

∆ my six-pocket folder- this baby saves my life. this is where i keep graded and returned assignments. I have a pocket for each class, one for clubs and extracurriculars, and one holds blank paper, both printer and notebook.

∆ my latin journal- I copy all my translations into a notebook so that it's easier to study and track. this also makes it harder to forget material, as I have to go back through old translations to copy them, and I can see how different pieces fit together.

∆ my agenda- my planner was $7 at target. I made sure to get one that i liked the look of, has enough room for each day, and is small enough that it won't waste my space. I write absolutely everything in my planner the minute I learn about it (it took a bit to get used to but I'll never regret it!), and I keep it color coded because that's just how i am. i would likely die without my planner.

∆ my textbooks- currently, only my latin class requires a textbook, and then we have our assigned reading for english, but whichever textbooks i have at that point in the semester stay in my backpack.

∆ my laptop- I don't bring my laptop everyday because I don't always need it. but I have a lightweight chromebook that i barely even notice in my bag!

Wanderlustful: Accomplished a lot this semester but is already focused on next year’s goals, applying for summer internships, likes peppermint lattes and watching snow fall from cafe windows, bright red scarves and peacoats, daydreams of castles on evergreen mountains, planning next year’s planner, excellent grades on final exams but yearning for something more. 

Hibernation Sensation: Rarely leaves their cocoon of fleece blankets and big sweaters, has a cold all the time, procrastinates studying with online shopping, drinks a lot of herbal tea, napping expert, loves candy canes and hot chocolate, has testing anxiety but crafts thoughtful essays, really good at wrapping presents and writes cute personal notes to people on all their gifts. 

Joyful and Triumphant: Started putting up holiday decorations in early November, marathons cheesy Christmas rom-coms, overbooked with end-of-semester parties, has been in at least one performance of A Christmas Carol, worked hard and got the grades they wanted, wins every ugly sweater contest, loves novelty socks and hot eggnog, always humming Carol of the Bells.
