So, I watch Hermitcraft, and for season 11 one of the only people I properly watch (as in I watch every episode when they come out) is Mumbo Jumbo, and I think my favourite part of his POV is that nearly every episode he says that whatever he's doing that episode is the most fun he's had playing Minecraft.
I'm currently in the middle of watching episode 22, since it just came out earlier today, (so if you haven't seen it yet and it matters to you, don't keep reading) and there's been multiple back to back (to back) photos he's taken that have turned out as his favourite, or as being in the running for his favourite.
At the beginning of last week I started drawing again for the first time in around 3(three) months, which in itself was my first time drawing since the very beginning of the year. I haven't been very happy with my art in a while, there's so many skills that I feel I don't have that make the things I want to make feel anywhere between monumentally hard and impossible. In addition I've just had so many things going on this year, and since I hadn't enjoyed making art in so long I couldn't justify to myself putting energy into it.
But these past twoish weeks I've had so much fun. I've drawn traditionally for the first time in ages, I feel happy with my art style again, I finished an art piece that had been sitting as a barely started sketch for what I fear is probably about a year now, and I've loved everything I've drawn.
The episode is just about to end now, Mumbo's going over all the paintings, all of which he seems to love very much, and what I've taken away is that I don't want to strive for my art to necessarily be perfect, I want to strive for everything I make to be, in that moment, my favourite thing I've ever made.
