I'm honestly conflicted on how to answer, because I don't want to inspire any harassment towards the author in question. from the end note on their latest chapter, it seems they're going through a rough time, and I think it would be irresponsible of me to publically post the fic and potentially send a hate train their way. I don't have a massively large following, but the number isn't negligible either😅

otherwise, I highly recommend switching your ao3 skin to a Claude-detector one and looking through your subscriptions and bookmarks (and then, for further insight as needed, checking the webpage's developer tools to see what parts of the fic were copy/pasted from Claude). I can post an in-depth tutorial on how to do it if anyone's interested.

in light of the Claude AI-detector skin on ao3, I went through all of my subscriptions and bookmarks from 2025-onwards, and, lo and behold, I found one that used Claude.

and, mind, this is a super popular fic in the landoscar community. thousands of hits/kudos, hundreds of bookmarks, and countless ppl in the fandom have rec'd it. hell, ppl have taken the time and effort to make wonderful, beautiful, human-made FANART for this fic.

I'm just so unbelievably upset. if you're going to use gen-AI to "create" your "art", at least have the fucking balls to tag it so that the ppl who actually care about prioritizing consumption of genuine, human creativity don't waste their time engaging with low-effort slop.

on the plus side, this has lit a fire under my petty ass to publish more of my shit. because maybe it takes me five bajillion years to update, and maybe my works are riddled with errors, but at least I'm not cooking the planet with my writing.

this may just be me screaming into the void, but just in case even one person is interested, here's the tea: to avoid severely oversharing, I'm just going to say that, basically, I've been in semi-self-imposed, budget, grippy sock prison🤙

however, even disregarding that, I needed to take a step back from the fandom for a while. and unfortunately, I'm going to continue maintaining slight distance for a little longer. I'd rather not get into the reasons behind why I feel the need to temporarily distance myself from the fandom, but please know that it is NOT because of any personal interactions I've had. the main reason is 100% a widespread, general issue I've taken with certain fandom spaces these last several months. I simply need to re-reconcile some things with myself as a writer, and it will take some time, but it won't take forever❤️‍🩹 I'll try my best to update/publish the works I already promised everyone, but it will most likely be very slow-going (and could be interspersed between content I might create for other fandoms, so if anyone is subscribed to my AO3 purely for F1 RPF, I promise I won't be offended if you'd prefer to unsub!!). I'm really, truly sorry, and I thank everyone so very much for your patience and understanding.

finally, to backtrack a bit, I want to assure everyone that I am safe and am currently as stable as I can possibly be at the moment. I might be at rock bottom, but I've been here before, I overcame it before, and so I know I'm capable of doing it again☺️

"Lando." Oscar's voice is dry and flat, the way it gets when he's exasperated and mildly annoyed. Lando doesn't think anyone's ever been annoyed with him while he's sat on their dick.

It's strangely entertaining.

He pouts to avoid smirking as he petulantly points out, "I said that I've never shared a heat with an alpha! Isn't that basically the same thing?"

"It really, really isn't," Oscar stresses. Lando's now thoroughly enjoying himself. "Jesus Christ, Lando, you should've told me."

"Why?" He lifts a brow and lightheartedly taunts, "Would you have wined and dined me? Bought me a gift? Surprised me with a nest full of rose petals?"

A pink flush spreads across the tops of Oscar's cheeks, boyish and charming. "I mean. Yeah, maybe."

Lando snorts. "Dork."
