My dreams need to stop showing me things I can’t have

The rise of electric stoves and cars are symptoms of a society that has abandoned emotion for assumed efficiency. It makes me sick to think of our future children that will likely learn to cook on a cold, hard, glass surface. Completely devoid of feeling or energy. Bland boring heat to cook our bland boring food. I feel infinitely sorry for the poor children that will learn to drive behind the wheel of an electric car. One that you will barely have to drive in the first place. What will the youth know of flames and smoke. What will they know of char and burnt rubber. Cooking over a flame and controlling a combustion engine are two of life’s greatest joys. Hopefully they aren’t taken from us.
