Artist Participation Guidelines:
This is an abbreviated list. The full requirements are on the Artist Guide page.
You will produce a polished illustration tangibly inspired by the fanfiction you’re paired with.
What does tangibly inspired mean? You can choose to depict:
👉 the featured characters
👉 a specific scene from the fic
👉 a broader, more symbolic illustration, like might be used for a book cover
What route you take is up to you! You’re encouraged to talk to your writer for inspiration, but this is not a commission, so follow your imagination and inspiration.
Do I need to be a professional or experienced artist to join? What if I only like certain Dragon Age games or content?
We accept artists of all skill and experience levels! You do not need to be professional or experienced, and there is no application/jurying period for this type of event. Once you sign up, you’re in!
Our writers’ fics cover all four Dragon Age games, with themes ranging from modern AUs to canon retellings to NSFW & darkfic. Whatever part of Dragon Age is your favorite, we have a fic that will interest you!
About Claims & Matching:
Anonymous pitches will be available from August 3rd - 10th. Artists will submit a sign up form ranking the six (6) fics they most want to work with. Then, the mods will match up writers and artists based on those rankings.
The fics on offer range from Teen to Explicit and have a variety of relationship types, including platonic and crossover ships. Some of our writers are focusing on canon characters, while others are including OCs.

If you cannot comfortably donate, do not feel guilty, you are valued regardless, and should not worry. However, if any of you are in the position to help, please consider contributing to this fundraiser to remove my best friend/girlfriend, the most important person in my life, Emily ( @azirawaffle ), from her abusive household.
Her 'guardians' are doing everything in their power to prevent her from leaving, and if they are allowed any choice in the matter, she will never escape. They are making independence impossible by withholding money that is hers and sabotaging her every attempt to start her own life. Every day she is dealing with severe bullying and hate-fueled harassment in her own home. One of these individuals is a truly dangerous and unstable man, and I worry for her safety as his mental health continues to decline.
I would solve this issue myself regardless of the cost, but the reality is that I am disabled and jobless, and there is an Ocean between her and I. I feel helpless and terrified for the person I love more than anything. I will be doing everything in my power to get her out, but my help alone will not be enough.
Again, only contribute if you can do so comfortably, but in the case that you do, I am so incredibly grateful.

They would huddle together then, like sheep. Thinking that were safe in numbers.
They were not.
They needed to be smart, to not balk at the task at hand—they needed to not ask questions they didn't want an answer to. You didn't last in the sanatorium if you asked too many questions. If they did, Doctor Richardson would have me take them into the Isolation Ward. Like a Judas goat I would lead them through and I would be the only one to come back out. Their endless bleating used to carry over into my dreams, I would see them with their red eyes and pleading, bleeding mouths. I barely dream now.
When I would come out of Isolation, he would be standing there. The red light of the ward flashing and glinting off him as he stood, large and imposing with his hands behind his back. He wouldn't say anything, just nod approvingly and I would follow, hating how that sliver of approval would make me smile. I clung to it, this tiny scrap of acknowledgment from a monster. I was as foolish as the frog, hoping the scorpion wouldn't sting me but he was already upon me—under my skin, ready and poised to deliver a fatal drop of poison. So I kept going, letting myself want his trust and his approval, hungering for it.
