Jonghyun and I are both Aries and I have famously never gotten along with Aries men, and it's because i'm the boss yeah? NOT you. We're both short and have complexes about it. He's depressed i'm depressed, whole house depressed. He's an insomniac, I love to sleep. He's loud I'm quiet. Fat pockets aside, just looking at Jinki's house pissed me off......we can't both be messy. That's just not sustainable. On top of that he doesn't cook and I hate to cook, so we're doomed. "But Minho can't cook-" Minho would let me play with his hole that's different. Jinki and I would have excellent finances and I would run that label like the navy, but ultimately it would be divorce because he'd annoy me with his jokes one last time and I'd crash the car and kill us both.

And about jjong damnnn, if his car accident changed his tone that must have been hard for him. I've also read that jinkis voice changed after he had throat surgery (not the "recent one", I mean earlier...and now im kinda wondering if those two are related?), but I don't hear much of a change in his case. Same for Kibum and Minho, their voices sound the same as always to me (obv minho has improved massively, I'm just talking about tone here). Taemin is a different thing since it feels like he's always changing.

The rest of them were so young when they debuted, I feel like they've gotten more refined with their singing, rather than their tone changing. Key definitely stays in a higher register nowadays than he used to (kind of miss his loverboy cosplay voice he'd use on ODD, so I'm glad Atmos as an album let him be in the lower register).

Minho's singing voice evolution is best compared by listening to their japanese albums, he gets more singing parts in them. I think his register and style is more popular in that market than in Korea. Kind of like Jinki. It's got a longing quality to it? (I am not musically trained whatsoever so) but I think he has a really masterful technique of conveying emotion through cadence and enunciation. He's the "rapper" of the group but he doesn't rap the same in every song, unlike a lot of other idol rappers.

And Taemin I think has worked really hard but I was just talking to someone else about how I think he may have had sinus issues or maybe a deviated septum at some point (I have one so this is why I say this) because his voice is much clearer live and less "stuffy" than it used to be. His "tone" hasn't changed much, but his style of singing has evolved from imitating jjong's style, to trying out a bunch of styles, before settling into "his" sound, which I think really settled in around WANT.

Jinki - Northern Cardinal (Sweet voice perfect for duets, dedicated partner that spoils their mate and handles business, fickle and territorial but devoted)

Jjong - Carolina Wren (tiny but LOUD, assertive but also keeps an eye out for the bird neighborhood, unassuming but integral part of the ecosystem that you can instantly recognize)

Kibum - Albatross (excellent parents, beautiful and glam, able to persevere thru anything, looks small but is big etc)

Minho - Red Tailed Hawk (athletic, another excellent partner that is a responsible parent, loud and bold, famous for their visuals and distinctive voice)

Taemin - Sandhill Crane (dance master and migratory, all legs and high fliers. an artistically inspiring bird that's referenced a lot in music and paintings)
