and consider this, xehanort was born in this same scala that brain existed in and the same one that the player was re-incarnated into. aka the victorian one. yes he was taken and raised on destiny island and returned later, after the appearance was changed, but that's neither here nor there.

cause while it's still not confirmed, it's all but certain that brain is eraqus's grandpa, meaning eraqus & xehanort's time in scala is probably two generations removed from brain's arrival thereabouts. aka another 40-60 years at minimum, but it could be more.

actually i hope it's more. cause based on the limited timeline of events we have been given (using brain as a reference point) + using the vague concept of generations as a guideline, this would mean the time from when ephemer founded scala to the time eraqus & xehanort trained there spans roughly 100-150 years.

throw in half a century for good measure (b/c I can never remember how old E & X are), and it looks like ephemer founded scala ~200 years before the games 😭 maybe ~250 if we're lucky 😭😭

idk that just seems way too short of a time to me. i do think there's some room for greater passages of time to have occur. especially if scala was sealed with master's defender between the two era's. something clearly went down that's being hidden from us. but idk i always thought the age of fairytales was like 500-1000+ years ago, not like, just over 200 🫠

but also how tf did victorian scala get built up so big, so quickly?

and how many fucking kids did ephemer have that three gens later, they're key figures in the societies??
